Isaiah 56

1 Thus said YHWH: “Keep judgment, and do righteousness, For My salvation [is] near to come, And My righteousness to be revealed.”

Esto es lo que dice el Señor: Sigue la ley y haz lo que es correcto, porque pronto llegará mi salvación y se revelará mi bondad.

2 O the blessedness of a man who does this, And of a son of man who keeps hold on it, Keeping the Sabbath from defiling it, And keeping his hand from doing any evil.

Bienaventurados todos los que hacen esto: los que la cumplen, los que observan el sábado sin violarlo y los que no hacen nada malo.

3 Do not let a son of the stranger speak, Who is joined to YHWH, saying, “YHWH certainly separates me from His people.” Nor let the eunuch say, “Behold, I am a dried up tree,”

No permitas que los extranjeros que se han dedicado al Señor digan: “El Señor me excluirá definitivamente de su pueblo”. Y no permitas que los eunucos digan: “Mírame, soy tan inútil como un árbol seco porque no tengo hijos”.

4 For thus said YHWH: “To the eunuchs who keep My Sabbaths, And have fixed on that which I desired, And are keeping hold on My covenant:

Porque esto es lo que dice el Señor: A los eunucos que observen mis sábados, que decidan hacer lo que me agrada y cumplir mi acuerdo,

5 I have given to them in My house, And within My walls a station and a name, Better than sons and than daughters, I give a continuous name to him That is not cut off.

les daré, en mi casa y dentro de mis muros, un lugar para recordarlos y una reputación mejor que la de los hijos e hijas. Les daré una reputación eterna que nunca se desvanecerá.

6 And sons of the stranger, who are joined to YHWH, To serve Him, and to love the Name of YHWH, To be for servants to Him, All keeping from defiling the Sabbath, And those keeping hold on My covenant,

En cuanto a los extranjeros que se han consagrado al Señor, que lo adoran, que aman al Señor y que son sus servidores, todos los que observan el sábado sin violarlo y que cumplen mi acuerdo,

7 I have brought them to My holy mountain, And caused them to rejoice in My house of prayer, Their burnt-offerings and their sacrifices [Are] for a pleasing thing on My altar, For My house is called a house of prayer for all the peoples.”

traeré a estos extranjeros a mi monte santo y los haré felices en mi casa de oración. Aceptaré sus holocaustos y sacrificios, porque mi Templo será llamado casa de oración para todas las naciones.

8 A declaration of Lord YHWH, Who is gathering the outcasts of Israel: “Again I gather to him—to his gathered ones.”

Esto es lo que dice el Señor Dios, que hizo volver al pueblo disperso de Israel: Haré volver a otros para unirse a ti.

9 Every beast of the field, Come to devour, every beast in the forest.

¡Vengan, animales salvajes, animales salvajes del campo y de los bosques, vengan a comer a mi pueblo!

10 His watchmen [are] blind—all of them, They have not known, All of them [are] mute dogs, they are not able to bark, Dozing, lying down, loving to slumber.

Porque todos los vigilantes están ciegos. Ninguno de ellos sabe lo que pasa. Todos están callados; no saben ladrar. Se pasan el tiempo acostados, soñando, amando el sueño.

11 And the dogs [are] strong of desire, They have not known sufficiency, And they [are] shepherds! They have not known understanding, All of them turned to their own way, Each to his dishonest gain from his quarter:

Son perros codiciosos que nunca están satisfechos. Son perros pastores que no conocen su trabajo. Todos van por su cuenta, cada uno mirando por sí mismo.

12 “Come, I take wine, And we drink, gulp strong drink, And tomorrow has been as this day, Great—exceedingly abundant!”

“Vamos”, dicen, “¡traigo vino y nos emborrachamos! ¡Haremos esto hoy, y mañana beberemos mucho más!”
