Isaiah 56
1 Thus said YHWH: “Keep judgment, and do righteousness, For My salvation [is] near to come, And My righteousness to be revealed.”
Così dice il Signore: «Osservate il diritto e praticate la giustizia, perché prossima a venire è la mia salvezza; la mia giustizia sta per rivelarsi».
2 O the blessedness of a man who does this, And of a son of man who keeps hold on it, Keeping the Sabbath from defiling it, And keeping his hand from doing any evil.
Beato l'uomo che così agisce e il figlio dell'uomo che a questo si attiene, che osserva il sabato senza profanarlo, che preserva la sua mano da ogni male.
3 Do not let a son of the stranger speak, Who is joined to YHWH, saying, “YHWH certainly separates me from His people.” Nor let the eunuch say, “Behold, I am a dried up tree,”
Non dica lo straniero che ha aderito al Signore: «Certo mi escluderà il Signore dal suo popolo!». Non dica l'eunuco: «Ecco, io sono un albero secco!».
4 For thus said YHWH: “To the eunuchs who keep My Sabbaths, And have fixed on that which I desired, And are keeping hold on My covenant:
Poiché così dice il Signore: «Agli eunuchi, che osservano i miei sabati, preferiscono le cose di mio gradimento e restan fermi nella mia alleanza,
5 I have given to them in My house, And within My walls a station and a name, Better than sons and than daughters, I give a continuous name to him That is not cut off.
io concederò nella mia casa e dentro le mie mura un posto e un nome migliore che ai figli e alle figlie; darò loro un nome eterno che non sarà mai cancellato.
6 And sons of the stranger, who are joined to YHWH, To serve Him, and to love the Name of YHWH, To be for servants to Him, All keeping from defiling the Sabbath, And those keeping hold on My covenant,
Gli stranieri, che hanno aderito al Signore per servirlo e per amare il nome del Signore, e per essere suoi servi, quanti si guardano dal profanare il sabato e restano fermi nella mia alleanza,
7 I have brought them to My holy mountain, And caused them to rejoice in My house of prayer, Their burnt-offerings and their sacrifices [Are] for a pleasing thing on My altar, For My house is called a house of prayer for all the peoples.”
li condurrò sul mio monte santo e li colmerò di gioia nella mia casa di preghiera. I loro olocausti e i loro sacrifici saliranno graditi sul mio altare, perché il mio tempio si chiamerà casa di preghiera per tutti i popoli».
8 A declaration of Lord YHWH, Who is gathering the outcasts of Israel: “Again I gather to him—to his gathered ones.”
Oracolo del Signore Dio che raduna i dispersi di Israele: «Io ancora radunerò i suoi prigionieri, oltre quelli gia radunati».
9 Every beast of the field, Come to devour, every beast in the forest.
Voi tutte, bestie dei campi, venite a mangiare; voi tutte, bestie della foresta, venite.
10 His watchmen [are] blind—all of them, They have not known, All of them [are] mute dogs, they are not able to bark, Dozing, lying down, loving to slumber.
I suoi guardiani sono tutti ciechi, non si accorgono di nulla. Sono tutti cani muti, incapaci di abbaiare; sonnecchiano accovacciati, amano appisolarsi.
11 And the dogs [are] strong of desire, They have not known sufficiency, And they [are] shepherds! They have not known understanding, All of them turned to their own way, Each to his dishonest gain from his quarter:
Ma tali cani avidi, che non sanno saziarsi, sono i pastori incapaci di comprendere. Ognuno segue la sua via, ognuno bada al proprio interesse, senza eccezione.
12 “Come, I take wine, And we drink, gulp strong drink, And tomorrow has been as this day, Great—exceedingly abundant!”
«Venite, io prenderò vino e ci ubriacheremo di bevande inebrianti. Domani sarà come oggi; ce n'è una riserva molto grande».
