< Isaiah 54 >

1 “Sing, O barren, she [who] has not borne! Break forth with singing, and cry aloud, She [who] has not brought forth! For more [are] the sons of the desolate, Than the sons of the married one,” said YHWH.
“Hiva, ʻae paʻa, ʻa koe naʻe ʻikai te ke fānau; ke ke hiva, pea kalanga leʻo lahi, ʻa koe naʻe ʻikai te ke langā ʻi ha tamasiʻi:” he ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova, “ʻOku tokolahi hake ʻae fānau ʻae liʻaki ʻi he fānau ʻoe fefine kuo mali.
2 “Enlarge the place of your tent, And they stretch out the curtains of your dwelling places, Do not restrain—lengthen your cords, And make your pins strong.
Fakalahi ʻae potu ʻo ho fale fehikitaki, pea tuku ke nau fofola ʻae puipui ʻo ho ngaahi nofoʻanga: ʻoua ʻe taʻofi, fakalōloa hoʻo ngaahi afo, pea tutuki ke maʻu hoʻo ngaahi tuki poupou;
3 For you break forth right and left, And nations possess your seed,
He te ke ʻalu atu ki he nima toʻomataʻu, pea ki he toʻohema; pea ʻe maʻu ʻa ho hako ʻae ngaahi Senitaile, pea ʻe fakakakai ʻae ngaahi kolo naʻe lala.
4 And they cause desolate cities to be inhabited. Do not fear, for you are not ashamed, Nor blush, for you are not confounded, For you forget the shame of your youth, And the reproach of your widowhood You do not remember anymore.
“ʻOua ʻe manavahē; koeʻuhi ʻe ʻikai te ke mā: pea ʻoua naʻa ke puputuʻu koeʻuhi ʻe ʻikai fakamaaʻi koe: he te ke fakangaloʻi ʻae mā ʻo hoʻo kei talavou, pea ʻe ʻikai te ke toe manatu ki he valoki ʻo hoʻo nofo taka pe ʻi he mate ho husepāniti.
5 For your Maker [is] your husband, YHWH of Hosts [is] His Name, And your Redeemer [is] the Holy One of Israel, He is called God of all the earth.
He ko ho Tupuʻanga kuo fakamaau mo koe; ko Sihova ʻoe ngaahi kautau ko hono huafa ia; pea ko ho Huhuʻi ko e tokotaha māʻoniʻoni ʻo ʻIsileli; ʻe ui ia ko e ʻOtua ʻo māmani kotoa pē.
6 For as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, YHWH has called you, Even a youthful wife when she is refused,” said your God.
He kuo ui koe ʻe Sihova ʻo hangē ko e fefine liʻaki pea mamahi ʻi hono laumālie, pea hangē ko e uaifi ʻi heʻene kei siʻi, ka kuo liʻaki,” ʻoku pehē ʻe ho ʻOtua.
7 “In a small moment I have forsaken you, And in great mercies I gather you,
“ʻI he kihiʻi fuoloa siʻi kuo u liʻaki koe; ka ʻi he ngaahi ʻaloʻofa lahi te u tānaki koe.
8 In overflowing wrath I hid My face [for] a moment from you, And in perpetual kindness I have loved you, Said your Redeemer—YHWH!
‌ʻI he houhau siʻi naʻaku fufū hoku fofonga meiate koe ʻi he kemo pe; ka ʻi he ʻofa taʻengata te u ʻaloʻofa kiate koe, ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova ko ho Huhuʻi.
9 For this [is as] the days of Noah to Me, In that I have sworn that the waters of Noah Do not pass over the earth again—So I have sworn, Wrath is not on you, Nor rebuke against you.
“He ʻoku tatau ʻae meʻa ni kiate au mo e ngaahi vai ʻo Noa: ʻo hangē kuo u fuakava ʻe ʻikai toe lōmaki ʻa māmani ʻaki ʻae ngaahi vai ʻo Noa; ʻoku pehē ʻeku fuakava ʻe ʻikai te u houhau kiate koe, pe valokiʻi koe.
10 For the mountains depart, and the hills remove, And My kindness does not depart from you, And the covenant of My peace does not remove,” Says YHWH, your loving one.
Koeʻuhi ʻe mole ʻae ngaahi moʻunga, pea hiki mo e ngaahi tafungofunga; ka ko ʻeku ʻofa ʻe ʻikai mole meiate koe, pea ʻe ʻikai hiki ʻae fuakava ʻo ʻeku melino, ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova ʻaia ʻoku ʻaloʻofa kiate koe.
11 “O afflicted, storm-tossed, not comforted, Behold, I am laying your stones with cement, And have founded you with sapphires,
“ʻA koe koe mamahi, pea vilingia ʻi he matangi, pea taʻefiemālie, vakai, te u ʻai hoʻo ngaahi maka ʻi he lanu lelei, pea ʻai hoʻo ngaahi tuʻunga ʻaki ʻae ngaahi safaia.
12 And have made your pinnacles of agate, And your gates of carbuncle stones, And all your border of stones of delight,
Pea te u ngaohi ho ngaahi matapā sioʻata ʻaki ʻae ʻakete, pea mo ho ngaahi matapā ʻaki ʻae kapunikale, pea mo ho ngaahi ngataʻanga ʻaki ʻae ngaahi maka mahuʻinga.
13 And all your sons are taught of YHWH, And the peace of your sons [is] abundant.
Pea ʻe akonakiʻi ʻe Sihova hoʻo fānau kotoa pē; pea ʻe lahi ʻae fiemālie ʻi hoʻo fānau.
14 You establish yourself in righteousness, Be far from oppression, for you do not fear, And from ruin, for it does not come near to you.
‌ʻE fokotuʻumaʻu koe ʻi he māʻoniʻoni: te ke mamaʻo mo e fakamālohia; koeʻuhi ʻe ʻikai te ke manavahē: pea mei he ilifia; koeʻuhi ʻe ʻikai haʻu ia ʻo ofi kiate koe.
15 Behold, he diligently assembles without My desire, Whoever has assembled near you falls by you!
Vakai, ko e moʻoni te nau tānaki fakataha, ka e ʻikai ʻiate au: ko ia kotoa pē ʻe fakataha ko e fili kiate koe ʻe hinga koeʻuhi ko koe.
16 Behold, I have created an artisan, Blowing on a fire of coals, And bringing out an instrument for his work, And I have created a destroyer to destroy.
“Vakai, kuo u fakatupu ʻae tufunga ukamea ʻaia ʻoku tapili ʻae malala ʻi he afi, pea ʻoku ʻomi ʻae meʻa fakatufunga ki heʻene ngāue; pea kuo u fakatupu ʻae fakaʻauha ke fakaʻauhaʻi.
17 No weapon formed against you prospers, And every tongue rising against you, You condemn in judgment. This [is] the inheritance of the servants of YHWH, And their righteousness from Me,” a declaration of YHWH!
‌ʻE ʻikai monūʻia ha mahafutau kuo ngaohi ke tauʻi koe; pea ko e ʻelelo kotoa pē ʻe lea kovi kiate koe te ke fakamalaʻia ʻi he fakamaau. Ko eni ʻae tofiʻa ʻoe kau tamaioʻeiki ʻa Sihova, pea ʻoku meiate au ʻenau māʻoniʻoni,” ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova.
