Isaiah 5
1 Now let me sing for my Beloved, A song of my Beloved as to His vineyard: My beloved has a vineyard in a fruitful hill,
Agora cantarei a meu amado o cântico de meu querido de sua vinha: meu amado tem uma vinha, em um morro fértil;
2 And He fences it, and casts out its stones, And plants it [with] a choice vine, And builds a tower in its midst, And has also hewn out a winepress in it, And He waits for the yielding of grapes, And it yields bad ones!
E a cercou, e limpou das pedras, e a plantou de excelentes videiras, e edificou no meio dela uma torre; e também fundou nela uma prensa de uvas; e esperava que desse uvas boas, porém deu uvas imprestáveis.
3 And now, O inhabitant of Jerusalem and man of Judah, Please judge between Me and My vineyard.
E agora, ó moradores de Jerusalém, e vós homens de Judá? Julgai, eu vos peço, entre mim e minha vinha.
4 What [is there] to do still to My vineyard, That I have not done in it? For what reason have I waited for the yielding of grapes, And it yields [only] bad ones?
O que mais podia ser feito à minha vinha, que eu não tenha já feito? Se eu esperava uvas boas, como, pois, veio dar uvas imprestáveis?
5 And now, pray, let Me cause you to know, That which I am doing to My vineyard, To turn its hedge aside, And it has been for consumption, To break down its wall, And it has been for a treading-place.
Por isso agora eu vos farei saber o que farei à minha vinha: tirarei sua cerca, para que sirva de pastagem; derrubarei seu muro, para que seja pisada;
6 And I make it a waste, It is not pruned, nor arranged, And brier and thorn have gone up, And I lay a charge on the thick clouds, From raining on it rain.
E eu a tornarei uma [terra] abandonada; não será podada, nem cavada; mas crescerão [nela] cardos e espinhos; e darei ordens às nuvens, para que não chovam chuva sobre ela.
7 Because the vineyard of YHWH of Hosts [Is] the house of Israel, And the man of Judah His pleasant plant, And He waits for judgment, and behold, oppression, For righteousness, and behold, a cry.
Porque a vinha do SENHOR dos exércitos é a casa de Israel, e os homens de Judá são suas plantas agradáveis; porém ele esperava juízo, e eis aqui opressão; [ele esperava] justiça, e eis aqui clamor.
8 Woe [to] those joining house to house, They bring field near to field, Until there is no place, And you have been settled by yourselves In the midst of the land!
Ai dos que juntam uma casas, [e] acumulam propriedades de terra, até que não tenha sobrado mais lugar, para que somente vós fiqueis como moradores no meio da terra.
9 Do many houses not become a desolation by the weapons of YHWH of Hosts? Great and good without inhabitant!
O SENHOR dos exércitos [disse] aos meus ouvidos: Verdadeiramente muitas casas se tornarão desertas, [até] as grandes e valiosas ficarão sem moradores!
10 For ten acres of vineyard yield one bath, And a homer of seed yields an ephah.
E dez jeiras de vinha darão [apenas] um bato; e um ômer de semente dará [apenas] um efa.
11 Woe [to] those rising early in the morning, They pursue strong drink! Lingering in twilight, wine inflames them!
Ai dos que se levantam cedo pela manhã, para buscarem bebida alcoólica, e continuam até a noite, [até que] o vinho os esquente.
12 And harp, and stringed instrument, tambourine, and pipe, And wine, have been their banquets, And they do not behold the work of YHWH, Indeed, they have not seen the work of His hands.
E harpas, liras, tamborins, gaitas e vinho há em seus banquetes; porém não olham para a obra do SENHOR, nem veem a obra de suas próprias mãos.
13 Therefore my people removed without knowledge, And its honorable ones are famished, And its multitude dried up of thirst.
Por isso meu povo será levado cativo, porque não tem conhecimento; seus nobres terão fome, e sua multidão se secará de sede.
14 Therefore Sheol has enlarged herself, And has opened her mouth without limit. And its honor has gone down, and its multitude, And its noise, and its exulting one—into her. (Sheol h7585)
Por isso o Xeol alargou seu avidez, e sua boca se abriu tanto que não se pode medir, e [ali] descerão a nobreza e também a multidão, em meio a barulhos e com os que festejam. (Sheol h7585)
15 And the low is bowed down, and the high humbled, And the eyes of the haughty become low,
Então as pessoas serão rebaixadas, e os homens serão humilhados; e os olhos dos arrogantes se humilharão.
16 And YHWH of Hosts is high in judgment, And the Holy God sanctified in righteousness,
Mas o SENHOR dos exércitos será exaltado com juízo; e Deus, o Santo, será santificado com justiça.
17 And lambs have fed according to their leading, And sojourners consume wastelands of the fat ones.
E os cordeiros pastarão como se fosse seus próprios pastos, e os estranhos comerão [do alimento proveniente] dos lugares abandonados dos ricos.
18 Woe [to] those drawing out iniquity with cords of vanity, And as [with] thick ropes of the cart—sin.
Ai dos que puxam perversidade com cordas de futilidade, e pelo pecado como que [com] cordas de carruagens!
19 Who are saying, “Let Him hurry, Let Him hurry His work, that we may see, And let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel Draw near and come, and we know.”
E dizem: Que ele se apresse, acelere sua obra, para que a vejamos; e aproxime-se e venha o conselho do Santo de Israel, para que possamos saber.
20 Woe [to] those saying to evil “good,” and to good “evil,” Putting darkness for light, and light for darkness, Putting bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter.
Ai dos que chamam o mal de bem, e o bem de mal; que trocam as trevas pela luz, e a luz pelas trevas; e trocam o amargo pelo doce, e o doce pelo amargo!
21 Woe [to] the wise in their own eyes, And—before their own faces—intelligent!
Ai dos [que se acham] sábios aos seus próprios olhos, e prudentes para si mesmos!
22 Woe [to] the mighty to drink wine, And men of strength to mingle strong drink.
Ai dos [que se acham] corajosos para beberem vinho, e homens fortes para misturarem bebida alcoólica!
23 Declaring righteous the wicked for a bribe, And the righteousness of the righteous They turn aside from him.
[Ai d] os que inocentam o perverso por causa de suborno, e se desviam da justiça dos justos!
24 Therefore, as a tongue of fire devours stubble, And flaming hay falls, Their root is as muck, And their flower goes up as dust. Because they have rejected the Law of YHWH of Hosts, And despised the saying of the Holy One of Israel.
Por isso, como a língua de fogo consome a estopa, e a chama queima a palha, [assim] sua raiz será como podridão, e sua flor se desfará como o pó; pois rejeitaram a Lei do SENHOR dos exércitos, e desprezaram a palavra do Santo de Israel.
25 Therefore the anger of YHWH has burned among His people, And He stretches out His hand against it, And strikes it, and the mountains tremble, And their carcass is as filth in the midst of the out-places. With all this His anger did not turn back, And still His hand is stretched out!
Por isso se acendeu a ira do SENHOR contra seu povo, e estendeu sua mão contra ele, e o feriu; e as montanhas tremeram, e seus cadáveres foram como lixo no meio das ruas; com tudo isto ele não retrocedeu sua ira; ao contrário, sua mão ainda está estendida.
26 And He lifted up an ensign to the far-off nations, And hissed to it from the end of the earth, And behold, with haste, it comes swiftly.
E ele levantará uma bandeira para as nações distantes, e lhes assoviará desde os confins da terra; e eis que virão com rapidez apressadamente.
27 There is none weary, nor stumbling in it, It does not slumber, nor sleep, Nor has the girdle of its loins been opened, Nor the strap of its sandals drawn away.
Não haverá entre eles cansado ou quem tropece; ninguém cochilará, nem dormirá; nem se desatará o cinto de seus lombos, nem será arrebentada a tira de seus calçados.
28 Whose arrows [are] sharp, and all its bows bent, Hooves of its horses have been reckoned as flint, And its wheels as a windstorm!
Suas flechas estarão afiadas, e todos os seus arcos prontos para atirar; os cascos de seus cavalos serão comparáveis a rochas, e as rodas [de suas carruagens] como redemoinhos de vento.
29 Its roaring [is] like a lioness, It roars like young lions, And it howls, and seizes prey, And carries away safely, and there is none delivering.
O rugido deles será como o de um leão feroz, e bramarão como filhotes de leão; e rugirão, e tomarão a presa, e a levarão, e não haverá quem [a] resgate.
30 And it howls against it in that day as the howling of a sea, And it has looked attentively to the land, And behold, darkness—distress, And light has been darkened by its abundance!
E bramarão contra ela naquele dia como o bramido do mar; então olharão para a terra, e eis que há trevas [e] aflição; e a luz se escurecerá em suas nuvens.
