Isaiah 46

1 Bel has bowed down, Nebo is stooping, Their idols have been for the beast and for livestock, Your burdens are loaded, a burden to the weary.

Bel se inclina. Nebo se inclina. Sus ídolos son llevados por animales, y en el ganado. Las cosas que llevabas son cargas pesadas, una carga para los cansados.

2 They have stooped, they have bowed together, They have not been able to deliver the burden, And have gone into captivity themselves.

Se agachan y se inclinan juntos. No pudieron entregar la carga, pero han ido al cautiverio.

3 “Listen to Me, O house of Jacob, And all the remnant of Israel, Who are borne from the belly, Who are carried from the womb,

“Escúchame, casa de Jacob, y todo el resto de la casa de Israel, que llevan desde su nacimiento, que se han llevado desde el vientre materno.

4 Even to old age, I [am] He, and to grey hairs I carry, I made, and I bear, indeed, I carry and deliver.

Hasta la vejez soy yo, y hasta las canas te llevaré. He hecho, y soportaré. Sí, llevaré y entregaré.

5 To whom do you liken Me, and make equal? And compare Me, that we may be like?

“¿Con quién me compararás y me considerarás igual? y compararme, como si fuéramos iguales?

6 They are pouring out gold from a bag, And they weigh silver on the beam, They hire a refiner, and he makes it a god, They fall down, indeed, they bow themselves.

Algunos vierten oro de la bolsa, y pesa la plata en la balanza. Contratan a un orfebre, y lo convierte en un dios. Se caen... sí, adoran.

7 They lift him up on the shoulder, They carry him, and cause him to rest in his place, And he stands, he does not move from his place, Indeed, one cries to him, and he does not answer, He does not save him from his adversity.

Lo llevan al hombro. Lo llevan y lo colocan en su sitio, y allí se queda. No puede moverse de su sitio. Sí, se le puede gritar, pero no puede responder. No puede salvarle de su problema.

8 Remember this, and show yourselves men, Turn [it] back, O transgressors, to the heart.

“Recordad esto y mostraos como hombres. Recuérdenlo, transgresores.

9 Remember former things of old, For I [am] Mighty, and there is none else, God—and there is none like Me.

Acuérdate de las cosas antiguas; porque yo soy Dios y no hay otro. Yo soy Dios, y no hay nadie como yo.

10 Declaring the latter end from the beginning, And from of old that which has not been done, Saying, My counsel stands, And all My delight I do.

Declaro el fin desde el principio, y de los tiempos antiguos las cosas que aún no se han hecho. Yo digo: Mi consejo se mantendrá, y haré todo lo que me plazca.

11 Calling a ravenous bird from the east, The man of My counsel from a far land, Indeed, I have spoken, indeed, I bring it in, I have formed [it], indeed, I do it.

Llamo a un pájaro voraz del este, el hombre de mi consejo desde un país lejano. Sí, he hablado. Yo también lo llevaré a cabo. Lo he planeado. Yo también lo haré.

12 Listen to Me, you mighty in heart, Who are far from righteousness.

Escúchame, terco de corazón, ¡que están lejos de la justicia!

13 I have brought My righteousness near, It is not far off, And My salvation—it does not linger, And I have given salvation in Zion, For Israel My glory!”

Acerco mi justicia. No está lejos, y mi salvación no esperará. Yo concederé la salvación a Sión, mi gloria a Israel.
