Isaiah 45
1 Thus said YHWH, To His anointed, to Cyrus, Whose right hand I have laid hold on, To subdue nations before him, Indeed, I loose loins of kings, To open double doors before him, Indeed, gates are not shut:
Así dice Yahvé a su ungido, a Ciro, a quien he tomado de la derecha, para derribar delante de él naciones, y desceñir la cintura de reyes; para abrir ante él las puertas a fin de que las puertas no le estén cerradas:
2 “I go before you, and make crooked places straight, I shatter doors of bronze, And I cut bars of iron apart,
“Yo iré delante de ti, y allanaré los caminos escabrosos, romperé las puertas de bronce, y haré añicos los cerrojos de hierro.
3 And have given to you treasures of darkness, Even treasures of secret places, So that you know that I, YHWH, Who am calling on your name—[am] the God of Israel.
Te daré los tesoros escondidos, y las riquezas de lugares secretos, para que sepas que Yo, Yahvé; soy el Dios de Israel, el que te llamo por tu nombre.
4 For the sake of My servant Jacob, And of Israel My chosen, I also call you by your name, I surname you, And you have not known Me.
Por amor de Jacob, mi siervo, y por amor de Israel, mi escogido, te llamé por tu nombre; te puse nombre cuando no me conocías aún.
5 I [am] YHWH, and there is none else, There is no God except Me, I gird you, and you have not known Me.
Yo soy Yahvé, y no hay otro; fuera de Mí no hay Dios alguno. Yo te ceñí cuando no me conocías,
6 So that they know from the rising of the sun, And from the west, that there is none besides Me, I [am] YHWH, and there is none else,
a fin de que sepan (todos), desde el Oriente hasta el Occidente, que no hay ninguno fuera de Mí. Yo soy Yahvé, y no hay otro.
7 Forming light, and creating darkness, Making peace, and creating calamity, I [am] YHWH, doing all these things.
Yo formo la luz, y creo las tinieblas; doy la prosperidad y causo el mal; Yo, Yahvé, hago todas estas cosas.
8 Drop, you heavens, from above, And clouds cause righteousness to flow, Earth opens, and they are fruitful, Salvation and righteousness spring up together, I, YHWH, have created it.
Derramad, oh cielos, desde arriba el rocío, y lluevan las nubes la justicia; ábrase la tierra y produzca la salvación; y brote juntamente con ella la justicia. Yo, Yahvé, soy autor de estas cosas.”
9 Woe [to] him who is striving with his Former (A potsherd with potsherds of the ground!) Does clay say to its Framer, What [are] you doing? And your work, He has no hands?
¡Ay de aquel que disputa con su Creador, y no es más que un tiesto entre los tiestos de barro! ¿Dirá acaso el barro al alfarero: “¿Qué es lo que haces?, tu obra no tiene valor.”?
10 Woe [to] him who is saying to a father, What do you beget? Or to a wife, What do you bring forth?”
¡Ay del que dice al padre: “¿Por qué engendras?” y a la mujer: “¿Por qué das a luz?”
11 Thus said YHWH, The Holy One of Israel, and his Former: “Ask Me of the things coming concerning My sons, Indeed, concerning the work of My hands, you command Me.
Esto dice Yahvé, el Santo de Israel y su Hacedor: “¿Acaso me vais a preguntar sobre las cosas venideras, y darme preceptos respecto de mis hijos y la obra de mis manos?
12 I made earth, and created man on it, My hands stretched out the heavens, And I have commanded all their host.
Yo hice la tierra, y creé en ella al hombre; Yo, mis mismas manos desplegaron los cielos, y Yo doy mis órdenes a toda su milicia.
13 I have stirred him up in righteousness, And I make all his ways straight, He builds My city, and sends out My captivity, Not for price, nor for bribe,” said YHWH of Hosts.
En mi justicia suscité un (libertador), y allano todos sus pasos. Él edificará mi ciudad y dará libertad a mis cautivos, sin rescate y sin dádivas.” Así dice Yahvé de los ejércitos.
14 Thus said YHWH: “The labor of Egypt, And the merchandise of Cush, And of the Sebaim—men of measure, Pass over to you, and they are yours, They go after you, they pass over in chains, And they bow themselves to you, They pray to you: Surely God [is] in you, And there is none else, no [other] God.”
Así dice Yahvé: “Las labores de Egipto y las ganancias de Etiopía, y los sabeos, hombres de elevada estatura, pasarán a ti, y serán tuyos; marcharán en pos de ti, en cadenas pasarán; se prosternarán delante de ti, suplicándote: «Solamente en medio de ti está Dios, y no hay otro Dios, no hay absolutamente ninguno.»
15 Surely You [are] a God hiding Yourself, God of Israel—Savior!
Verdaderamente Tú eres un Dios escondido, el Dios de Israel, el Salvador.
16 They have been ashamed, And they have even blushed—all of them, Those carving images have gone together in confusion.
Avergonzados y cubiertos de ignominia han quedado todos; llenos de oprobio se van a una los fabricantes de ídolos.
17 Israel has been saved in YHWH, A perpetual salvation! You are not ashamed nor confounded For all ages of eternity!
Israel, empero, es salvado por Yahvé con salvación eterna; no seréis avergonzados ni confundidos nunca jamás.”
18 For thus said YHWH, Creator of the heavens, He is God, Former of earth, and its Maker, He established it—He did not create it empty, For He formed it to be inhabited: “I [am] YHWH, and there is none else.
Porque así dice Yahvé, el que creó los cielos, ese mismo Dios que formó la tierra y la afirmó. No hizo de ella un caos, sino que la formó para ser habitada. “Yo soy Yahvé, y no hay otro.
19 I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth, I have not said to the seed of Jacob, Seek Me in vain, I [am] YHWH, speaking righteousness, Declaring uprightness.
No he hablado en secreto, en algún lugar oscuro del mundo; tampoco he dicho a la estirpe de Jacob: «Buscadme en vano.» Yo, Yahvé, digo lo que es justo, anuncio lo que es recto.
20 Be gathered, and come in, Come near together, you escaped of the nations, They have not known, Who are lifting up the wood of their carved image, And praying to a god [that] does not save.
Congregaos, y venid; acercaos todos los que habéis escapado de las naciones. Son necios los que llevan su ídolo de madera, invocando a un dios que no puede salvar.
21 Declare, and bring near, Indeed, they take counsel together, Who has proclaimed this from of old? [Who] has declared it from that time? Is it not I—YHWH? And there is no other god besides Me, A God righteous and saving, there is none except Me.
Publicadlo, y hacedlos venir; y deliberen unos con otros. ¿Quién anunció desde antiguo estas cosas? ¿quién las predijo desde entonces? ¿No fui Yo, Yahvé? Pues fuera de Mí no hay otro Dios. (Yo soy el) Dios justo y salvador, no hay sino Yo.
22 Turn to Me, and be saved, all the ends of the earth, For I [am] God, and there is none else.
Convertíos a Mí, y seréis salvos, todos los términos de la tierra; porque Yo soy Dios, y no hay otro.
23 I have sworn by Myself, A word has gone out from My mouth in righteousness, And it does not return, That to Me, every knee bows, every tongue swears.
Por Mí mismo lo juro; de mi boca sale justicia, y (mi) palabra no será revocada, pues ante Mí se doblará toda rodilla, y toda lengua prestará juramento.”
24 Only in YHWH, one has said, Do I have righteousness and strength, He comes to Him, And all those displeased with Him are ashamed.
Se dirá de Mí: “Solamente en Yahvé hay justicia y fuerza.” Vendrán a Él y serán avergonzados todos los que contra Él se agitan.
25 In YHWH are all the seed of Israel justified, And they boast themselves.”
En Yahvé serán justificados y glorificados todos los hijos de Israel.
