Isaiah 42
1 Behold, My servant, I take hold on Him, My Chosen One—My soul has accepted, I have put My Spirit on Him, He brings forth judgment to nations.
देखो मेरा ख़ादिम, जिसको मैं संभालता हूँ, मेरा बरगुज़ीदा, जिससे मेरा दिल ख़ुश है; मैंने अपनी रूह उस पर डाली, वह क़ौमों में 'अदालत जारी करेगा।
2 He does not cry, nor lift up, Nor cause His voice to be heard in the street.
वह न चिल्लाएगा और न शोर करेगा और न बाज़ारों में उसकी आवाज़ सुनाई देगी।
3 A bruised reed He does not break, And faded flax He does not quench, He brings forth judgment to truth.
वह मसले हुए सरकंडे को न तोड़ेगा और टमटमाती बत्ती को न बुझाएगा, वह रास्ती से 'अदालत करेगा।
4 He does not become weak nor bruised, Until He sets judgment in the earth, And islands wait with hope for His law.
वह थका न होगा और हिम्मत न हारेगा, जब तक कि 'अदालत को ज़मीन पर क़ाईम न करे; जज़ीरे उसकी शरी'अत का इन्तिज़ार करेंगे।
5 Thus said God, YHWH, Creating the heavens, and stretching them out, Spreading out the earth and its productions, Giving breath to the people on it, And spirit to those walking in it.
जिसने आसमान को पैदा किया और तान दिया, जिसने ज़मीन को और उनको जो उसमें से निकलते हैं फैलाया, जो उसके बाशिन्दों को साँस और उस पर चलनेवालों को रूह 'इनायत करता है, या'नी ख़ुदावन्द ख़ुदा यूँ फ़रमाता है
6 I, YHWH, called you in righteousness, And I lay hold on your hand, and keep you, And I give you for a covenant of a people, And a light of nations.
“मैं ख़ुदावन्द ने तुझे सदाक़त से बुलाया, मैं ही तेरा हाथ पकडुंगा और तेरी हिफ़ाज़त करूँगा, और लोगों के 'अहद और क़ौमों के नूर के लिए तुझे दूँगा;
7 To open the eyes of the blind, To bring forth the bound one from prison, Those sitting in darkness from the house of restraint.
कि तू अन्धों की आँखें खोले, और ग़ुलामों को क़ैद से निकाले, और उनको जो अन्धेरे में बैठे हैं क़ैदखाने से छुड़ाए।
8 I [am] YHWH, this [is] My Name, And I do not give My glory to another, Nor My praise to carved images.
यहोवा मैं हूँ, यही मेरा नाम है; मैं अपना जलाल किसी दूसरे के लिए, और अपनी हम्द खोदी हुई मूरतों के लिए रवा न रखखूँगा।
9 The former things, behold, have come, And I am declaring new things, Before they spring up I cause you to hear.
देखो, पुरानी बातें पूरी हो गईं और मैं नई बातें बताता हूँ, इससे पहले कि वाक़े' हों, मैं तुम से बयान करता हूँ।”
10 Sing a new song to YHWH, His praise from the end of the earth, You who are going down to the sea, and its fullness, Islands, and their inhabitants.
ऐ समन्दर पर गुज़रने वालो और उसमें बसनेवालों, ऐ जज़ीरो और उनके बाशिन्दों, ख़ुदावन्द के लिए नया गीत गाओ, ज़मीन पर सिर — ता — सिर उसी की इबादत करो।
11 The wilderness and its cities lift up [their voice], Kedar inhabits the villages, The inhabitants of Sela sing, They cry from the top of mountains.
वीराना और उसकी बस्तियाँ, क़ीदार के आबाद गाँव, अपनी आवाज़ बलन्द करें; सिला' के बसनेवाले गीत गाएँ, पहाड़ों की चोटियों पर से ललकारें।
12 They ascribe to YHWH glory, And they declare His praise in the islands.
वह ख़ुदावन्द का जलाल ज़ाहिर करें और जज़ीरों में उसकी सनाख़्वानी करें।
13 YHWH goes forth as a mighty one. He stirs up zeal as a man of war, He cries, indeed, He shrieks, He shows Himself mighty against His enemies.
ख़ुदावन्द बहादुर की तरह निकलेगा, वह जंगी मर्द की तरह अपनी गै़रत दिखाएगा; वह ना'रा मारेगा, हाँ, वह ललकारेगा; वह अपने दुश्मनों पर ग़ालिब आएगा।
14 I have kept silent from of old, I keep silent, I refrain Myself, I cry out as a travailing woman, I desolate and swallow up together.
मैं बहुत मुद्दत से चुप रहा, मैं ख़ामोश हो रहा और ज़ब्त करता रहा; लेकिन अब मैं दर्द — ए — ज़िह वाली की तरह चिल्लाऊँगा; मैं हॉ पू गा और ज़ोर — ज़ोर से साँस लूँगा।
15 I make desolate mountains and hills, And I dry up all their herbs, And I have made rivers become islands, And I dry up ponds.
मैं पहाड़ों और टीलों को वीरान कर डालूँगा और उनके सब्ज़ाज़ारों को ख़ुश्क करूँगा; और उनकी नदियों को जज़ीरे बनाऊँगा और तालाबों को सुखा दूँगा।
16 And I have caused the blind to go, In a way they have not known, I cause them to tread in paths they have not known, I make a dark place become light before them, And unleveled places become a plain, These [are] the things I have done to them, And I have not forsaken them.
और अन्धों को उस राह से जिसे वह नहीं जानते ले जाऊँगा, मैं उनको उन रास्तों पर जिनसे वह आगाह नहीं ले चलूँगा; मैं उनके आगे तारीकी को रोशनी और ऊँची नीची जगहों को हमवार कर दूँगा, मैं उनसे ये सुलूक करूँगा और उनको तर्क न करूँगा।
17 Removed backward—utterly ashamed, Are those trusting in a carved image, Those saying to a molten image, “You [are] our gods.”
जो खोदी हुई मूरतों पर भरोसा करते और ढाले हुए बुतों से कहते हैं तुम हमारे मा'बूद हो वह पीछे हटेंगे और बहुत शर्मिन्दा होंगे।
18 You deaf, hear; and you blind, look to see.
ऐ बहरो सुनो ऐ अन्धो नज़र करो ताकि तुम देखो।
19 Who [is] blind but My servant? And deaf as My messenger I send? Who [is] blind as he who is at peace, Indeed, blind, as the servant of YHWH?
मेरे ख़ादिम के सिवा अंधा कौन है और कौन ऐसा बहरा है जैसा मेरा रसूल जिसे मैं भेजता हूँ मेरे दोस्त की और ख़ुदावन्द के ख़ादिम की तरह नाबीना कौन है।
20 Seeing many things, and you do not observe, Opening ears, and he does not hear.
तू बहुत सी चीज़ों पर नज़र करता है पर देखता नहीं कान तो खुले हैं पर सुनता नहीं।
21 YHWH has delight for the sake of His righteousness, He magnifies law, and makes honorable.
ख़ुदावन्द को पसन्द आया कि अपनी सदाक़त की ख़ातिर शरी'अत को बुज़ुर्गी दे, और उसे क़ाबिल — ए — ता'ज़ीम बनाए।
22 And this [is] a people seized and spoiled, Snared in holes—all of them, And they were hidden in houses of restraint, They have been for a prey, And there is no deliverer, A spoil, and none is saying, “Restore.”
लेकिन ये वह लोग हैं जो लुट गए और ग़ारत हुए, वह सब के सब ज़िन्दानों में गिरफ़्तार और कै़दख़ानों में छिपे हैं; वह शिकार हुए और कोई नहीं छुड़ाता; वह लुट गए और कोई नहीं कहता, 'फेर दो!
23 Who among you gives ear [to] this? Attends, and hears afterward?
तुम में कौन है जो इस पर कान लगाए? जो आइन्दा के बारे में तवज्जुह से सुने?
24 Who has given Jacob for a spoil, And Israel to the spoilers? Is it not YHWH—He against whom we sinned? Indeed, they have not been willing to walk in His ways, Nor have they listened to His law.
किसने या'क़ूब को हवाले किया के ग़ारत हो, और इस्राईल को कि लुटेरों के हाथ में पड़े? क्या ख़ुदावन्द ने नहीं, जिसके ख़िलाफ़ हम ने गुनाह किया? क्यूँकि उन्होंने न चाहा कि उसकी राहों पर चलें, और वह उसकी शरी'अत के ताबे' न हुए।
25 And He pours fury on him, His anger, and the strength of battle, And it sets him on fire all around, And he has not known, And it burns against him, and he does not lay it to heart!
इसलिए उसने अपने क़हर की शिद्दत, और जंग की सख़्ती को उस पर डाला; और उसे हर तरफ़ से आग लग गई पर वह उसे दरियाफ़्त नहीं करता, वह उससे जल जाता है पर ख़ातिर में नहीं लाता।
