Isaiah 38
1 In those days has Hezekiah been sick to death, and Isaiah son of Amoz, the prophet, comes to him and says to him, “Thus said YHWH: Give a charge to your house, for you [are] dying, and do not live.”
১সেই দিনের হিষ্কিয় অসুস্থ হয়ে মারা যাওয়ার দিন হয়েছিল। তাই আমোসের ছেলে ভাববাদী যিশাইয় তার কাছে গিয়ে বললেন এবং তাকে বললেন, “সদাপ্রভু বলছেন, তোমার ঘরে ব্যবস্থা করে রাখো, কারণ তুমি মারা যাবে, ভাল হবে না।”
2 And Hezekiah turns around his face to the wall, and prays to YHWH,
২তারপর হিষ্কিয় দেওয়ালের দিকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নিলেন এবং সদাপ্রভুর কাছে প্রার্থনা করলেন।
3 and says, “Ah, now, O YHWH, please remember how I have habitually walked before You in truth, and with a perfect heart, and I have done that which [is] good in your eyes”; and Hezekiah weeps [with] a great weeping.
৩সে বলেছিল, “সদাপ্রভু, বিনয় করি, তুমি মনে করে দেখ, আমি তোমার সামনে কেমন বিশ্বস্তভাবে ও সমস্ত হৃদয়ে দিয়ে চলেছি তোমার চোখে যা ঠিক তা করেছি” এবং এই বলে হিষ্কিয় খুব জোরে কাঁদতে লাগলেন।
4 And a word of YHWH is to Isaiah, saying,
৪তখন সদাপ্রভুর এই বাক্য যিশাইয়ের কাছে উপস্হিত হল,
5 “Go, and you have said to Hezekiah, Thus said YHWH, God of your father David: I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tear, behold, I am adding fifteen years to your days,
৫তুমি যাও হিষ্কিয়কে বল, আমার লোকেদের নেতা, তোমার পূর্বপুরুষ দায়ূদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু বলছেন, আমি তোমার প্রার্থনা শুনেছি এবং তোমার চোখের জল দেখেছি; দেখ, আমি তোমার জীবনে আরও পনেরো বছর যোগ করব।
6 and out of the hand of the king of Asshur I deliver you and this city, and have covered over this city.
৬অশূরীয়ার রাজার হাত থেকে আমি তোমাকে ও এই শহরকে উদ্ধার করব এবং শহরটার উদ্ধারের ব্যবস্থা করব।
7 And this [is] to you the sign from YHWH, that YHWH does this thing that He has spoken.
৭এবং আমি যে কাজ করব তার প্রমাণস্বরূপ চিহ্ন হল এই: সদাপ্রভু যা বলেছেন তা আমি করব।
8 Behold, I am bringing back the shadow of the degrees that it has gone down on the degrees of Ahaz, by the sun, backward ten degrees”; and the sun turns back ten degrees in the degrees that it had gone down.
৮দেখো, আমি আহসের সিঁড়ির উপরে দশ ধাপ পিছনে ছায়া দেবো। তাই ছায়াটি পিছিয়ে গিয়েছিল দশটি সিঁড়িতে।
9 A writing of Hezekiah king of Judah concerning his being sick when he revives from his sickness:
৯যিহূদার রাজা হিষ্কিয় তাঁর অসুস্থতা থেকে যখন সুস্থ হবার পরে প্রার্থনায় যা লিখেছিলেন:
10 “I said in the cutting off of my days, I go to the gates of Sheol, I have numbered the remnant of my years. (Sheol h7585)
১০আমি বলেছিলাম, আমি বললাম যে আমার জীবনের মাঝখান দিয়ে আমি পাতালের দরজা দিয়ে যাব; আর আমার বাকি বছরগুলো থেকে কি আমাকে সেখানে পাঠানো হবে। (Sheol h7585)
11 I said, I do not see YAH—YAH! In the land of the living, I do not behold man anymore, With the inhabitants of the world.
১১আমি বলেছিলাম যে, জীবিতদের দেশে আমি সদাপ্রভুকে আর দেখতে পাব না; এই অস্থায়ী জগতে মানবজাতি বা বিশ্ববাসীর বাসিন্দার আর আমি দেখতে পাব না।
12 My sojourning has departed, And been removed from me as a shepherd’s tent, I have drawn together, as a weaver, my life, By weakness it cuts me off, From day to night You end me.
১২মেষপালকের তাঁবুতে আমার প্রাণ সরে যায় এবং আমার কাছ থেকে দূরে সরিয়ে নিয়ে যায়। তাঁতীদের মত করে আমার জীবন ঘূর্ণিত হয়েছে। তুমি কাঁটা থেকে আমাকে কেটে ফেলছ। রাতের মধ্যে তুমি আমাকে শেষ করে দেবে।
13 I have set [Him] as a lion until morning, So He breaks all my bones, From day to night You end me.
১৩সকাল না হওয়া পর্যন্ত আমি চিৎকার করে উঠলাম; সিংহের মত তিনি আমার সমস্ত হাড় ভেঙে ফেলবে এবং দিনের মধ্যে তুমি আমার জীবন শেষ করছ।
14 As a crane—a swallow—so I chatter, I mourn as a dove, My eyes have been drawn up on high, O YHWH, oppression [is] on me, be my guarantor.
১৪ঘুঘুর মত আমি কাতর স্বরে ডাকতে লাগলাম। উপর দিকে তাকাতে আমার চোখ দুর্বল হয়ে পড়ল। প্রভু, আমি কষ্ট পাচ্ছি, তুমি আমার সাহায্য কর।
15 What do I say? Seeing He spoke to me, And He Himself has worked, I go softly all my years for the bitterness of my soul.
১৫আমি কি বলব? তিনি আমার সাথে কথা বলেছেন এবং নিজেই এটা করছে। আমার প্রাণের এই যন্ত্রণার জন্য আমি জীবনের বাকি সব বছরগুলো নম্র হয়ে চলব।
16 Lord, [men] live by these, And by all in them [is] the life of my spirit, And You save me, make me to also live,
১৬প্রভু, তোমরা যে দুঃখ প্রকাশ করছ তা আমার পক্ষে ভাল; আমার জীবন আমার কাছে ফিরে আসতে পারে; তুমি আমার জীবন এবং স্বাস্থ্য পুনরুদ্ধার করেছ।
17 Behold, He changed bitterness to peace for me, And You have delighted in my soul without corruption, For You have cast all my sins behind Your back.
১৭আমার সুবিধার জন্য দুঃখের অভিজ্ঞতা ভোগ করেছি, কিন্তু ধ্বংসের গর্ত থেকে তোমার ভালবাসায় তুমি আমাকে উদ্ধার করেছ। কারণ আমার সব পাপ তুমি পিছনে ফেলে দিয়েছ।
18 For Sheol does not confess You, Death does not praise You, Those going down to the pit do not hope for Your truth. (Sheol h7585)
১৮কারণ পাতাল তোমার ধন্যবাদ দিতে পারে না; আর মৃত্যুও তোমার প্রশংসা করতে পারে না। যারা গর্তে নামে তারা তোমার বিশ্বাসযোগ্যতার আশা করতে পারে না। (Sheol h7585)
19 The living, the living, he confesses You,
১৯কেবল জীবিতেরা, জীবিতেরাই তোমার প্রশংসা করে যেমন আজ আমি করছি; বাবা তার ছেলেদের তোমার বিশ্বাসযোগ্যতার কথা বলবে।
20 Like myself today; A father makes known to [his] sons of Your faithfulness, O YHWH—to save me: And we sing my songs all [the] days of our lives In the house of YHWH.”
২০সদাপ্রভু আমাকে রক্ষা করেছেন এবং সেইজন্য আমাদের জীবনের সমস্ত দিন গুলোতে সদাপ্রভুর ঘরে তারের বাজনার সাথে আমরা গান গাইব। সমস্ত দিন আমি সদাপ্রভুর ঘরে থাকবো।
21 And Isaiah says, “Let them take a bunch of figs, and plaster over the ulcer, and he lives.”
২১এখন যিশাইয় বলেছিলেন, “ডুমুর দিয়ে একটা প্রলেপ তৈরী করে তার ফোড়ার উপর লাগিয়ে দিলে তিনি সুস্থ হবেন।”
22 And Hezekiah says, “What [is] the sign that I go up to the house of YHWH?”
২২হিষ্কিয় জিজ্ঞাসা করেছিলেন, “আমি যে সদাপ্রভুর ঘরে উঠবো তার চিহ্ন কি?”
