Isaiah 35
1 They rejoice from the wilderness and dry place, And the desert rejoices, And flourishes as the rose,
O deserto e o lugar seco terão prazer disto; e o lugar desabitado se alegrará e florescerá como a rosa.
2 Flourishing it flourishes, and rejoices, Indeed, [with] joy and singing, The glory of Lebanon has been given to it, The beauty of Carmel and Sharon, They see the glory of YHWH, The majesty of our God.
Abundantemente florescerá, e também se encherá de alegria e júbilo; a glória do Líbano lhe será dada, a honra do Carmelo e de Sarom; eles verão a glória do SENHOR, a honra de nosso Deus.
3 Strengthen the feeble hands, Indeed, strengthen the stumbling knees.
Fortalecei as mãos fracas, e firmai os joelhos que tremem.
4 Say to the hurried of heart, “Be strong, Do not fear, behold, your God; vengeance comes, The repayment of God, He Himself comes and saves you.”
Dizei aos perturbados de coração: Fortalecei-vos! Não temais! Eis que nosso Deus virá para a vingança, aos pagamentos de Deus; ele virá e vos salvará.
5 Then eyes of the blind are opened, And ears of the deaf are unstopped,
Então os olhos dos cegos serão abertos, e os ouvidos dos surdos se abrirão.
6 Then the lame leap as a deer, And the tongue of the mute sings, For waters have been broken up in a wilderness, And streams in a desert.
Então os aleijados saltarão como cervos, e a língua dos mudos falará alegremente; porque águas arrebentarão no deserto, e ribeiros no lugar desabitado.
7 And the mirage has become a pond, And the thirsty land—fountains of waters, In the habitation of dragons, Its place of lying down, A court for reed and rush.
E a terra seca se tornará em lagoas, e a terra sedenta em mananciais de águas; nas habitações em que repousavam os chacais, haverá erva com canas e juncos.
8 And a highway has been there, and a way, And it is called the “Way of Holiness.” The unclean do not pass over it, And He Himself [is] by them, Whoever is going in the way—even fools do not err.
E ali haverá uma estrada, e um caminho que se chamará caminho da santidade; o impuro não passará por ele, mas será para os [que podem] andar pelo caminho; até mesmo os tolos [que por ele passarem] não errarão.
9 No lion is there, Indeed, a destructive beast does not ascend it, It is not found there, And the redeemed have walked,
Ali não haverá leão, nem animal selvagem subirá a ele, nem se achará nele; porém os redimidos [por ele] andarão.
10 And the ransomed of YHWH return, And have entered Zion with singing, And [with] continuous joy on their head, They attain joy and gladness, And sorrow and sighing have fled away!
E os resgatados do SENHOR voltarão, e virão a Sião com júbilo, e alegria eterna haverá sobre suas cabeças; eles terão prazer e alegria, e a tristeza e o gemido [deles] fugirão.
