< Isaiah 32 >
1 Behold, a king reigns for righteousness, As for princes, they rule for judgment.
Laba, Kabaka alifuga mu butuukirivu, n’abafuzi balifuga mu bwenkanya.
2 And each has been as a hiding place [from] wind, And as a secret hiding place [from] inundation, As streams of waters in a dry place, As a shadow of a heavy rock in a weary land.
Buli muntu aliba ng’ekifo eky’okwekwekamu empewo, ng’ekiddukiro okuva eri kibuyaga, ng’emigga gy’amazzi mu ddungu, ng’ekisiikirize eky’olwazi olunene mu nsi ey’ennyonta.
3 And the eyes of beholders are not dazzled, And the ears of hearers attend.
Olwo amaaso gaabo abalaba tegaliziba, n’amatu g’abo abawulira galiwuliriza.
4 And the heart of those hurried understands to know, And the tongue of stammerers hurries to speak clearly.
Omutima gw’abatali bagumiikiriza gulimanya era gulitegeera, n’olulimi olw’abanaanaagira lulitereera ne boogera bulungi.
5 A fool is no more called “noble,” And to a miser it is not said, “rich”;
Omusirusiru taliddayo kuyitibwa wa kitiibwa, newaakubadde omuntu omwonoonyi okuteekebwamu ekitiibwa.
6 For a fool speaks folly, And his heart does iniquity, to do profanity, And to speak error concerning YHWH, To empty the soul of the hungry, Indeed, he causes the thirsty to lack [their] drink.
Omusirusiru ayogera bya busirusiru, n’omutima gwe gwemalira ku kukola ebitali bya butuukirivu. Akola eby’obutatya Katonda, era ayogera bya bulimba ku Mukama, n’abayala abaleka tebalina kintu, n’abalumwa ennyonta abamma amazzi.
7 And the miser—his instruments [are] evil, He has counseled wicked schemes, To corrupt the poor with lying sayings, Even when the needy speaks justly.
Empisa z’omwonoonyi si za butuukirivu. Akola entegeka ezitali za butuukirivu, alyoke azikirize abaavu n’ebigambo eby’obulimba, ensonga y’abali mu kwetaaga ne bw’eba nga ntuufu.
8 And the noble counseled noble things, And he rises up for noble things.
Naye omuntu ow’ekitiibwa akola entegeka za kitiibwa, era ku bikolwa bye eby’ekitiibwa kw’anywerera.
9 Women, easy ones, rise, hear my voice, Daughters, confident ones, give ear [to] my saying,
Mmwe abakazi abateefiirayo, mugolokoke muwulirize eddoboozi lyange; mmwe abawala abawulira nga muli wanywevu, muwulire bye ŋŋamba.
10 In days and a year You are troubled, O confident ones, For harvest has been consumed, The gathering does not come.
Mu mwaka gumu oba n’okusingawo, mmwe abawulira nga muli wanywevu, mulitya, amakungula g’emizabbibu galifa, n’amakungula g’ebibala tegalijja.
11 Tremble, you women, you easy ones, Be troubled, you confident ones, Strip and make bare, with a girdle on the loins,
Mutye mmwe abakazi abateefiirayo, mukankane mmwe abawala abawulira nga muli wanywevu. Muggyeko engoye zammwe, mwesibe ebibukutu mu biwato byammwe.
12 They are lamenting for breasts, For fields of desire, for the fruitful vine.
Munakuwalire ennimiro ezaali zisanyusa, olw’emizabbibu egyabalanga,
13 Over the ground of my people thorn [and] brier go up, Surely over all houses of joy of the exulting city,
n’olw’ensi ey’abantu bange, ensi eyamerangamu amaggwa ne katazamiti. Weewaawo mukaabire ennyumba zonna ezaali ez’amasanyu, na kino ekibuga ekyali eky’amasanyu.
14 The palace has been left, The multitude of the city forsaken, Fort and watchtower have been for dens for all time, A joy of wild donkeys—a pasture of herds;
Weewaawo ekigo kirirekebwawo, ekibuga ekirimu oluyoogaano kirifuuka kifulukwa. Ebigo n’eminaala birifuuka ebitagasa ennaku zonna, ekifo ekisanyusa endogoyi, eddundiro ly’ebisibo,
15 Until the Spirit is emptied out on us from on high, And a wilderness has become a fruitful field, And the fruitful field is reckoned for a forest.
okutuusa Omwoyo lw’alitufukibwako okuva waggulu, n’eddungu ne lifuuka ennimiro engimu, n’ennimiro engimu n’erabika ng’ekibira.
16 And judgment has dwelt in the wilderness, And righteousness remains in the fruitful field.
Obwenkanya bulituula mu ddungu, n’obutuukirivu bulibeera mu nnimiro engimu.
17 And a work of the righteousness has been peace, And a service of the righteousness—Keeping quiet and confidence for all time.
Ekibala ky’obutuukirivu kiriba mirembe, n’ekiriva mu butuukirivu kiriba kusiriikirira na bwesige emirembe gyonna.
18 And My people have dwelt in a peaceful habitation, And in steadfast dwelling places, And in quiet resting places.
Abantu bange balibeera mu bifo eby’emirembe, mu maka amateefu mu bifo eby’okuwummuliramu ebitatawaanyizibwa.
19 And it has hailed in the going down of the forest, And the city is low in the valley.
Omuzira ne bwe guligwa ne gukuba ekibira okukimalawo, n’ekibuga ne kiggirwawo ddala,
20 Blessed [are] you sowing by all waters, Sending forth the foot of the ox and the donkey!
ggwe oliraba omukisa, ng’osiga ensigo y’oku migga gyonna, n’ente zo n’endogoyi zo ne zirya nga zeeyagala.
