< Isaiah 32 >

1 Behold, a king reigns for righteousness, As for princes, they rule for judgment.
Winjuru, Ruoth nobed gi loch makare kendo jotelo nobed gi telo mar adier.
2 And each has been as a hiding place [from] wind, And as a secret hiding place [from] inundation, As streams of waters in a dry place, As a shadow of a heavy rock in a weary land.
Ngʼato ka ngʼato nobed kar gengʼruok ne kalausi mana ka aore mamol e piny ongoro, kendo mana ka tipo mar Lwanda maduongʼ e piny motwo.
3 And the eyes of beholders are not dazzled, And the ears of hearers attend.
Eka wenge joma neno ok nochak ogengʼ, kendo joma ochiko itgi nowinj wach.
4 And the heart of those hurried understands to know, And the tongue of stammerers hurries to speak clearly.
Chuny ngʼat mamuomore nowinj wach gi tiende kendo ngʼat ma radwal nowuo maber kendo maliw.
5 A fool is no more called “noble,” And to a miser it is not said, “rich”;
Ok nochak oluong ngʼat mofuwo ni ngʼat malongʼo, kata ngʼat ma ja-miganga ni ngʼat ma ogen.
6 For a fool speaks folly, And his heart does iniquity, to do profanity, And to speak error concerning YHWH, To empty the soul of the hungry, Indeed, he causes the thirsty to lack [their] drink.
Nimar ngʼat mofuwo wacho weche mofuwo, kendo opongʼ gi richo: Otimo timbe mag richo kendo olando miriambo kuom Jehova Nyasaye; mi omon joma odenyo chamo gik monego gicham kendo joma riyo oloyo otamoe pi.
7 And the miser—his instruments [are] evil, He has counseled wicked schemes, To corrupt the poor with lying sayings, Even when the needy speaks justly.
Ngʼat ma achach yorene richo, osiko ka chunye chano mana timo richo, kotieko jodhier gi miriambo kata obedo ni ywak mar joma ni e chandruok nikare.
8 And the noble counseled noble things, And he rises up for noble things.
To ngʼat mogen loso weche mabeyo kendo kuom timbe makare miyo ochungʼ motegno.
9 Women, easy ones, rise, hear my voice, Daughters, confident ones, give ear [to] my saying,
Un mon maparo ni odak e ngima maber, auru malo kendo uwinj wachna, un nyiri modak gi kwe, winjuru gima awacho!
10 In days and a year You are troubled, O confident ones, For harvest has been consumed, The gathering does not come.
Bangʼ higa achiel, un ma uparo nudak mokwe, kibaji nogou; cham ok nochiegi, kendo keyo mar mzabibu ok nobedie.
11 Tremble, you women, you easy ones, Be troubled, you confident ones, Strip and make bare, with a girdle on the loins,
Beduru moluor un mon maparo nodak e ngima maber; beduru mokuyo, un nyiri maparo nodak gi kwe! Lonyreuru duge kendo utwe piende gugru enungou.
12 They are lamenting for breasts, For fields of desire, for the fruitful vine.
Ywaguru ka ugoyo agogu nikech puothe momewo, nikech olembe mag mzabibu,
13 Over the ground of my people thorn [and] brier go up, Surely over all houses of joy of the exulting city,
kendo kuom piny joga, piny mopongʼ gi kuthe kod pedo, ee, ywaguru udi ma yande mor opongʼo kendo kuom dala maduongʼ mar mor gi ilo masani odongʼ nono.
14 The palace has been left, The multitude of the city forsaken, Fort and watchtower have been for dens for all time, A joy of wild donkeys—a pasture of herds;
Kama ochiel motegno nojwangʼ, dala maduongʼ nodongʼ gunda; kama ochiel motegno mag siro lweny kod kar ngʼicho nodongʼ kama punda bukore, kod kar kwadh jamni,
15 Until the Spirit is emptied out on us from on high, And a wilderness has become a fruitful field, And the fruitful field is reckoned for a forest.
nyaka chop Roho ol kuomwa koa malo, kendo piny motwo nolokre kuonde mamiyo, mi kuonde mamiyo nonenre ka bungu.
16 And judgment has dwelt in the wilderness, And righteousness remains in the fruitful field.
Adiera nobedie e piny motwo, mi tim makare nodag e puodho mamiyo.
17 And a work of the righteousness has been peace, And a service of the righteousness—Keeping quiet and confidence for all time.
Olemb tim makare nobed kwe; to tim makare nokel horuok gi chir nyaka chiengʼ.
18 And My people have dwelt in a peaceful habitation, And in steadfast dwelling places, And in quiet resting places.
Joga nodag kuonde ma kwe nitie, e mier moger motegno, kendo kuonde ma kwe nitie ma koko ongee.
19 And it has hailed in the going down of the forest, And the city is low in the valley.
Kata obedo ni pe nolwer bunge kendo dala maduongʼ nopodh chuth,
20 Blessed [are] you sowing by all waters, Sending forth the foot of the ox and the donkey!
to mano kaka inibed ngʼama ogwedhi, ka ichwoyo chambi e bath aore duto, kendo ka iweyo jambi kod punde magi wuotho awuotha kaka ohero.
