< Isaiah 3 >

1 For behold, the Lord, YHWH of Hosts, Is turning aside from Jerusalem and from Judah [Both] stay and staff: Every stay of bread and every stay of water;
2 Mighty and man of war, judge and prophet, And diviner and elderly,
Ọ ga-ewezugakwa ndị bụ dike nʼetiti ha, na onye agha, na onye ikpe, na onye amụma, na onye na-ajụ ase, na ndị okenye ha,
3 Head of fifty, and accepted of faces, And counselor, and wise craftsmen, And discerning charmer.
4 And I have made youths their heads, And sucklings rule over them.
“Aga m eme ka ụmụ okorobịa ghọọ ndị ozi ha, meekwa ka ụmụ na-aṅụ ara bụrụ ndị ịchị isi dị nʼaka ha.”
5 And the people has exacted—man on man, Even a man on his neighbor, The youths enlarge themselves against the aged, And the lightly esteemed against the honored.
Ndị mmadụ ga-emegbu ibe ha, otu onye megide onye ọzọ, onye agbataobi megide onye agbataobi ibe ya. Ụmụ okorobịa ga-ebili megide ndị okenye, ndị a na-elelị ga-emegide ndị a na-asọpụrụ.
6 When one lays hold on his brother, Of the house of his father, [by] the garment, “Come, you are a ruler to us, And this ruin [is] under your hand.”
Otu nwoke ga-ejide nwanne ya nwoke nʼụlọ nna ya sị ya, “I nwere akwa mgbochi, bụrụ onyendu anyị; lekọta mkpọmkpọ ebe a anya.”
7 He lifts up, in that day, saying, “I am not a binder up, And in my house is neither bread nor garment, You do not make me a ruler of the people.”
Ma ọ ga-azaghachi nʼụbọchị ahụ sị, “O nweghị ihe m pụrụ ime. Enweghị m nri maọbụ akwa mgbochi nʼụlọ m. Emela m onyendu ndị a.”
8 For Jerusalem has stumbled, and Judah has fallen, For their tongue and their doings [are] against YHWH, To provoke the eyes of His glory.
Lee na Jerusalem na-asọ ngọngọ. Juda na-adakwa.
9 The appearance of their faces witnessed against them, And their sin, as Sodom, they declared, They have not hidden! Woe to their soul, For they have done evil to themselves.
Ihu ha na-egosi ihe ha bụ. Ọ na-ezipụta ajọ omume ha. Ha na-anya isi nʼime mmehie ha dịka Sọdọm. Ihere adịghịkwa eme ha. Ahụhụ ga-adịrị ha, nʼihi na ha ejirila aka ha kpatara onwe ha ahụhụ.
10 Say to the righteous that [it is] good, Because they eat the fruit of their doings.
Zie ndị ezi omume niile ozi sị ha, na ihe ga-agara ha nke ọma, nʼihi na mkpụrụ sitere nʼomume ha niile ka ha ga-eri.
11 Woe to the wicked—evil, Because the deed of his hand is done to him.
12 My people—its exactors [are] sucklings, And women have ruled over it. My people—your eulogists are causing to err, And the way of your paths swallowed up.
Ụmụ okorobịa na-emegbu ndị m, ụmụ nwanyị na-achịkwa ha. Ndị m, lee na ndị na-achị unu na-eduhie unu ụzọ. Ha na-eme ka unu kpafuo; ha esitela nʼezi ụzọ wezuga unu.
13 YHWH has stood up to plead, And He is standing to judge the peoples.
Onyenwe anyị anyị ewerela ọnọdụ ya nʼụlọikpe; ọ na-eguzo ikpe ndị ya niile ikpe.
14 YHWH enters into judgment With [the] elderly of His people, and its heads: “And you, you have consumed the vineyard, Plunder of the poor [is] in your houses.
Onyenwe anyị na-aba nʼikpe megide ndị okenye na ndị ndu nke ndị ya niile. Ọ bụ unu bụ ndị lara ubi vaịnị m nʼiyi; ihe unu ji aka ike pụnara ndị ogbenye jupụtara nʼụlọ unu.
15 Why? Why do you [do this]? You bruise My people, And you grind the faces of the poor.” A declaration of the Lord, YHWH of Hosts, And YHWH says:
Gịnị mere unu ji azọpịa ndị m, “Gịnị mere unu ji si otu a na-egwepịa ihu ndị ogbenye?” Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị, bụ Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile kwupụtara.
16 “Because that daughters of Zion have been haughty, And they walk stretching out the neck, And deceiving [with] the eyes, They go walking and mincing, And they make a jingling with their feet,
Ọzọkwa, Onyenwe anyị kwuru sị, “Ndị inyom Zayọn bụ ndị mpako. Ha ji olu e setịrị eseti, na anya na-achọgharị ndị ikom ha ga-aghọgbuta na-ejegharị. Ha na-ejegharịkwa na-arọ mma na-aṅagharịkwa ukwu, na-emekwa ka ihe ịchọ mma ọla ụkwụ ha na-ada ụda.
17 The Lord has also scabbed The crown of the head of daughters of Zion, And YHWH exposes their simplicity.
Nʼihi ya, Onyenwe anyị ga-eme ka ọnya jupụta nʼisi ndị inyom Zayọn, Onyenwe anyị ga-emekwa ka ha gharakwa inwe agịrị isi nʼisi ha.”
18 In that day the Lord turns aside The beauty of the jingling ornaments, And of the embroidered works, And of the crescents,
19 Of the pendants, and the bracelets, and the veils,
ma ọlantị, ma mgbaaka, ma akwa e ji ekpuchi ihu,
20 Of the headdresses, and the ornaments of the legs, And of the bands, And of the perfume boxes, and the amulets,
ma akwa ha na-eyi nʼisi, na ọla ụkwụ, ma ihe ha na-eke nʼukwu, ma karama mmanụ isi ụtọ, ma ọgwụ dị iche iche;
21 Of the seals, and of the nose-rings,
22 Of the costly apparel, and of the mantles, And of the coverings, and of the purses,
23 Of the mirrors, and of the linen garments, And of the hoods, and of the veils,
24 And it has been, instead of spice is muck, And instead of a girdle, a rope, And instead of curled work, baldness, And instead of a stomacher a girdle of sackcloth.
Nʼọnọdụ ụda ọma, ha ga-esi ure ure; nʼọnọdụ ihe ike nʼukwu, ha ga-ekekwasị onwe ha eriri; nʼọnọdụ agịrị isi e doziri edozi, ha agaghị enwe ọ bụladị otu agịrị isi; nʼọnọdụ akwa ọcha, ọ bụ akwa mkpe ka ha ga-eyi; nʼọnọdụ ịma mma, anụ ahụ ha ga-achakpọsị.
25 For instead of glory, your men fall by sword, And your might in battle.
Ndị ikom unu ka a ga-eji mma agha gbuo, ndị bụ dike ka a ga-egbu nʼagha.
26 And her openings have lamented and mourned, Indeed, she has been emptied, she sits on the earth!”
Ọnụ ụzọ ama niile nke Zayọn ga-eti mkpu akwa ruokwa ụjụ. Ọ ga-atọgbọrọ nʼefu. Ọ ga-anọdụ nʼala.
