< Isaiah 24 >

1 Behold, YHWH is emptying the earth, And is making it desolate, And has overturned [it on] its face, And has scattered its inhabitants.
Khenah, Angraeng mah long hae tidoeh om ai ah suek moe, amrosak sut boeh; a krang amtuenghaih doeh amrosak ueloe, athung ih kaminawk to amhetsak phang tih.
2 And it has been—as a people so a priest, As the servant so his master, As the maidservant so her mistress, As the buyer so the seller, As the lender so the borrower, As the usurer so he who is lifting [it] on himself.
Kamtang khaeah oh baktih toengah, qaima khaeah doeh om tih; tamna khaeah oh baktih toengah angraeng khaeah doeh om tih; tamna nongpata khaeah oh baktih toengah, angraeng nongpata khaeah doeh om tih; hmuen qan kami khaeah oh baktih toengah, hmuen zaw kami khaeah doeh om tih; coi han hmuen paek kami khaeah oh baktih toengah, hmuen coi kami khaeah doeh om tih; phoisa coi han paek kami khaeah oh baktih toengah, phoisa coi kami khaeah doeh om tih.
3 The earth is utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled, For YHWH has spoken this word:
Long loe tidoeh om mak ai, kong rawk ueloe, amro tih, tiah Angraeng mah thuih boeh.
4 The earth has mourned, faded, The world has languished, faded, They have languished—the high place of the people of the earth.
Long loe zaek moe, azaem ving boeh, long loe thazok moe, azaem ving boeh; long ah kaom amoek kaminawk loe thazok o boeh.
5 And the earth has been defiled under its inhabitants, Because they have transgressed laws, They have changed a statute, They have made void a perpetual covenant.
Long kaminawk loe Sithaw patukhaih lok to aek o, a sak o han koi kaalok to pakhraih o moe, dungzan kacak lokmaihaih to a phraek o boeh pongah, long hae amhnong o sak boeh.
6 Therefore a curse has consumed the earth, And the inhabitants in it become desolate, Therefore inhabitants of the earth have been consumed, And few men have been left.
To pongah tangoenghaih mah long hae paaeh boeh, athung ah kaom kaminawk nuiah amrohaih to phak boeh; to pongah long ah kaom kaminawk loe hmai mah kangh moe, kami zetta khue ni anghmat boeh.
7 The new wine has mourned, the vine languished, All the joyful of heart have sighed.
Misurtui kangtha loe atui kang ving boeh moe, misurkung doeh zaek boih boeh; poeknawmhaih boih doeh palungsethaih hoiah ni anghah o boeh.
8 The joy of tambourines has ceased, The noise of exulting ones has ceased, The joy of a harp has ceased.
Atuen kamding satuem lok doeh dip boeh, anghoehaih hoiah hang kaminawk ih lok doeh dip boih boeh moe, anghoehaih katoeng lok doeh dip boeh.
9 They do not drink wine with a song, Strong drink is bitter to those drinking it.
Laasak hoiah misurtui to nae o ai boeh; mu loe nae kaminawk hanah kakhaa tui ah om pae tih.
10 It was broken down—a city of emptiness, Every house has been shut from [its] entrance.
Anghmang kathok vangpui loe amro boeh; mi doeh imthung ah akun han ai ah, thok to takraeng o boih boeh.
11 In out-places [is] a cry over the wine, All joy has been darkened, The joy of the land has been removed.
Misurtui om ai boeh pongah loklamnawk ah hang o; anghoehaihnawk boih khoving ah angcoeng boeh moe, prae thungah anghoehaih to boeng boeh.
12 Desolation [is] left in the city, And the gate is struck [with] ruin.
Vangpui loe angqai krang boeh moe, vangpui ih khongkha doeh boh pae o phaeng boeh.
13 When thus it is in the heart of the land, In the midst of the peoples, As the surrounding of the olive, As gleanings when harvest has been finished,
Olive thing kanghuen baktih, misurthaih pakhrik pacoengah kanghmat athaih to akhuih baktiah, prae thung ih kaminawk salakah om tih.
14 They lift up their voice, They sing of the excellence of YHWH, They have cried aloud from the sea.
Nihcae loe hang o ueloe, anghoehaih hoiah laa to sah o tih; tuipui bang hoiah lensawk Angraeng saphawhaih laa to sah o tih.
15 Therefore honor YHWH in prosperity, In islands of the sea, the Name of YHWH, God of Israel.
To pongah ni angyae bangah Angraeng to pakoeh oh loe, tuipui thung ih praenawk ah Israel Angraeng Sithaw ih ahmin to saphaw oh.
16 From the skirt of the earth we heard songs, The desire of the righteous. And I say, “Leanness [is] to me, Leanness [is] to me, woe [is] to me.” Treacherous dealers dealt treacherously, Indeed, treachery, treacherous dealers dealt treacherously.
Katoeng kami nuiah lensawkhaih to om nasoe, tiah long boenghaih ahmuen hoi laasakhaih lok to ka thaih o. Toe kai mah, Kai loe amro boeh, amro boeh! Khosak ka bing boeh! Aling thaih kaminawk mah aling boeh! Ue, aling thaih kaminawk mah ang ling o tangtang boeh, tiah ka naa.
17 Fear, and a snare, and a trap, [Are] on you, O inhabitant of the earth.
Aw long kaminawk, nangcae loe tasoehhaih, tangqom hoi thaang mah ang zing o boeh.
18 And it has come to pass, He who is fleeing from the noise of the fear falls into the snare, And he who is coming up from the midst of the snare, Is captured by the trap, For windows have been opened on high, And foundations of the earth are shaken.
Zithaih lok pongah kacawn kami loe tangqom thungah krah tih; tangqom thung hoi tacawt tahang kami loe thaang pongah aman tih; van ih tui khongkhanawk to paongh o boeh pongah, long angdoethaih ahmuen doeh anghuen boeh.
19 The earth has been utterly broken down, The earth has been utterly broken, The earth has been utterly moved.
Long loe koih phom boeh; long loe amro boeh pongah, anghuenh parai boeh.
20 The earth staggers greatly as a drunkard, And it has been moved as a lodge, And its transgression has been heavy on it, And it has fallen, and does not add to rise.
Long loe mu paqui kami baktiah ahnuk ahma amhae moe, takhi mah hmuh ih buk baktiah oh; lok tahngai ai zae sakhaih to kazit hmuen ah a phawh moe, angthawk let thaih han ai ah, amtim tih.
21 And it has come to pass in that day, YHWH lays a charge on the host of the high place in the high place, And on the kings of the earth on the earth.
To na niah Angraeng mah, van nui ih thacak misatuh kaminawk to thuitaek ueloe, long nuiah kaom siangpahrangnawk doeh thuitaek tih.
22 And they have been gathered—A gathering of bound ones in a pit, And they have been shut up in a prison, And after a multitude of days are inspected.
Thongkrah kaminawk loe long thung ih thongim ah nawnto amkhueng o baktih toengah, amkhueng o tih; thongim thungah pakhrah o ueloe, ani akra parai pacoengah thuitaekhaih to om tih.
23 And the moon has been confounded, And the sun has been ashamed, For YHWH of Hosts has reigned In Mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, And before His elderly—glory!
Khrah loe anghmang sut ueloe, ni doeh azathaih tong tih; misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng mah Zion mae hoiah Jerusalem vangpui uk naah loe, angmah ih kacoehtanawk hmaa ah lensawkhaih hoiah om o tih boeh.
