Isaiah 19
1 The burden of Egypt. Behold, YHWH is riding on a swift thick cloud, And He has entered Egypt, And the idols of Egypt have been moved at His presence, And the heart of Egypt melts in its midst.
La carga de Egipto. “He aquí que el Señor cabalga sobre una nube veloz y llega a Egipto. Los ídolos de Egipto temblarán ante su presencia, y el corazón de Egipto se derretirá en su interior.
2 And I armed Egyptians against Egyptians, And they fought, each against his brother, And each against his neighbor, City against city, kingdom against kingdom.
Yo incitaré a los egipcios contra los egipcios, y lucharán cada uno contra su hermano, y cada uno contra su vecino; ciudad contra ciudad, y reino contra reino.
3 And the spirit of Egypt has been emptied out in its midst. And I swallow up its counsel, And they have sought to the idols, And to the charmers, And to those having familiar spirits, And to the wizards.
El espíritu de los egipcios fracasará dentro de ellos. Destruiré su consejo. Buscarán a los ídolos, a los encantadores, a los que tienen espíritus familiares y a los magos.
4 And I have delivered the Egyptians Into the hand of a hard lord, And a strong king rules over them, A declaration of the Lord, YHWH of Hosts.
Entregaré a los egipcios en manos de un señor cruel. Un rey feroz los gobernará”, dice el Señor, Yahvé de los Ejércitos.
5 And waters have failed from the sea, And a river is desolated and dried up.
Las aguas del mar faltarán, y el río se perderá y se secará.
6 And they have turned away the flowings, Brooks of the bulwark have been weak and dried up, Reed and flag have withered.
Los ríos se ensuciarán. Los arroyos de Egipto disminuirán y se secarán. Los juncos y las banderas se marchitarán.
7 Exposed things by the brook, by the edge of the brook, And every sown thing of the brook, has withered, It has been driven away, and is not.
Las praderas junto al Nilo, junto al borde del Nilo, y todos los campos sembrados del Nilo, se secarán, serán expulsados y ya no existirán.
8 And the fishers have lamented, And all casting a hook into the brook have mourned, And those spreading dragnets on the face of the waters have languished.
Los pescadores se lamentarán, y todos los que pescan en el Nilo se lamentarán, y los que tienden redes en las aguas languidecerán.
9 And makers of fine flax have been ashamed, And weavers of networks.
Además, los que trabajan el lino peinado y los que tejen telas blancas se confundirán.
10 And its foundations have been struck, All making wages [are] afflicted in soul.
Las columnas se romperán en pedazos. Todos los que trabajan por cuenta ajena tendrán el alma afligida.
11 Only, the princes of Zoan [are] fools, The counsel of the wise ones of the counselors of Pharaoh has become brutish. How do you say to Pharaoh, “I am a son of the wise, a son of kings of antiquity?”
Los príncipes de Zoán son completamente necios. El consejo de los más sabios consejeros del Faraón se ha vuelto estúpido. ¿Cómo dices al Faraón: “Yo soy hijo de sabios, hijo de reyes antiguos”?
12 Where [are] they now, your wise ones? Indeed, let them now tell [it] to you, And they know what YHWH of Hosts has counseled against Egypt!
¿Dónde están, pues, tus sabios? Deja que ellos te lo digan ahora; y que sepan lo que el Señor de los Ejércitos ha dispuesto respecto a Egipto.
13 Princes of Zoan have been foolish, Princes of Noph have been lifted up, And they have caused Egypt to err, The chief of her tribes.
Los príncipes de Zoán se han vuelto necios. Los príncipes de Menfis están engañados. Ellos han hecho que Egipto se extravíe, los que son la piedra angular de sus tribus.
14 YHWH has mingled in her midst A spirit of perverseness, And they have caused Egypt to err in all its work, As a drunkard errs in his vomit.
El Señor ha mezclado un espíritu de perversidad en medio de ella, y han hecho que Egipto se extravíe en todas sus obras, como un borracho que se tambalea en su vómito.
15 And there is no work to Egypt, That head or tail, branch or reed, may do.
No habrá obra alguna para Egipto, que pueda hacer cabeza o cola, rama de palma o junco.
16 In that day Egypt is like women, And it has mourned, and been afraid, Because of the waving of the hand of YHWH of Hosts, That He is waving over it.
En aquel día los egipcios serán como mujeres. Temerán y se estremecerán a causa del temblor de la mano de Yahvé de los Ejércitos, que sacude sobre ellos.
17 And the land of Judah has been to Egypt for a cause of staggering, Everyone who mentions it, fears for himself, Because of the counsel of YHWH of Hosts, That He is counseling against it.
La tierra de Judá se convertirá en un terror para Egipto. Todo aquel a quien se le mencione tendrá miedo, a causa de los planes del Señor de los Ejércitos, que él determina contra ella.
18 In that day there are five cities in the land of Egypt, Speaking the lip of Canaan, And swearing to YHWH of Hosts, “The city of destruction,” is said of one.
En ese día, habrá cinco ciudades en la tierra de Egipto que hablen la lengua de Canaán y juren a Yahvé de los Ejércitos. Una se llamará “La ciudad de la destrucción”.
19 In that day there is an altar to YHWH In the midst of the land of Egypt, And a standing pillar to YHWH near its border,
En ese día, habrá un altar a Yahvé en medio de la tierra de Egipto, y una columna a Yahvé en su frontera.
20 And it has been for a sign and for a testimony, To YHWH of Hosts in the land of Egypt, For they cry to YHWH from the face of oppressors, And He sends a Savior to them, Even a great one, and has delivered them.
Será para señal y para testimonio del Señor de los Ejércitos en la tierra de Egipto; porque clamarán al Señor a causa de los opresores, y él les enviará un salvador y un defensor, y los librará.
21 And YHWH has been known to Egypt, And the Egyptians have known YHWH in that day, And done sacrifice and present, And vowed a vow to YHWH, and completed [it].
Yahvé será conocido en Egipto, y los egipcios conocerán a Yahvé en ese día. Sí, adorarán con sacrificios y ofrendas, y harán un voto a Yahvé, y lo cumplirán.
22 And YHWH has struck Egypt, striking and healing, And they have turned back to YHWH, And He has accepted their plea, And has healed them.
Yahvé golpeará a Egipto, golpeando y sanando. Volverán a Yahvé, y él se dejará implorar por ellos, y los sanará.
23 In that day a highway is out of Egypt to Asshur, And the Assyrians have come into Egypt, And the Egyptians into Asshur, And the Egyptians have served with the Assyrians.
En aquel día habrá una carretera de Egipto a Asiria, y el asirio entrará en Egipto, y el egipcio en Asiria; y los egipcios adorarán con los asirios.
24 In that day Israel is third, With Egypt, and with Asshur, A blessing in the heart of the earth.
En ese día, Israel será el tercero con Egipto y con Asiria, una bendición dentro de la tierra;
25 In that YHWH of Hosts blessed it, saying, “Blessed [is] My people—Egypt, And the work of My hands—Asshur, And My inheritance—Israel!”
porque el Señor de los Ejércitos los ha bendecido, diciendo: “Bendito sea Egipto, mi pueblo, Asiria, obra de mis manos, e Israel, mi herencia.”
