Isaiah 1

1 The visions of Isaiah son of Amoz, that he has seen concerning Judah and Jerusalem, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, Hezekiah, kings of Judah.

ಯೆಹೂದ ದೇಶದ ಅರಸರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಉಜ್ಜೀಯ, ಯೋತಾಮ, ಆಹಾಜ, ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯ ಇವರ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೂದ ಮತ್ತು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಆಮೋಚನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಶಾಯನಿಗೆ ಆದ ದರ್ಶನವು.

2 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth, For YHWH has spoken: “I have nourished and brought up sons, And they transgressed against Me.

ಆಕಾಶಗಳೇ, ಕೇಳಿರಿ. ಭೂಮಿಯೇ, ಕಿವಿಗೊಡು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ: “ನಾನು ಸಾಕಿ ಸಲಹಿದ ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ತಿರುಗಿಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

3 An ox has known its owner, And a donkey the crib of its master, Israel has not known, My people have not understood.”

ಎತ್ತು ತನ್ನ ಯಜಮಾನನನ್ನು, ಕತ್ತೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದಿರುವುವು. ಆದರೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿಲ್ಲ. ನನ್ನ ಜನರಿಗೂ ತಿಳಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.”

4 Oh, sinning nation, a people heavy [with] iniquity, A seed of evildoers, sons—corrupters! They have forsaken YHWH, They have despised the Holy One of Israel, They have gone away backward.

ಅಯ್ಯೋ ಪಾಪಿಷ್ಠ ಜನಾಂಗವೇ, ದುಷ್ಟತನದ ಭಾರವನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತಿರುವ ಪ್ರಜೆಯೇ! ದುಷ್ಟ ಸಂತತಿಯೇ, ಭ್ರಷ್ಟರಾದ ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ! ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಅವರು ತೊರೆದುಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧರನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಅವರಿಂದ ದೂರವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

5 Why are you struck anymore? You add apostasy! Every head has become diseased, and every heart [is] sick.

ನೀವು ಹೆಚ್ಚೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ತಿರುಗಿಬಿದ್ದು ಏಕೆ ನೀವು ಇನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆಯಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೀರಿ? ತಲೆಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ಗಾಯವಾಗಿದೆ, ಹೃದಯವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬಾಧಿತವಾಗಿದೆ.

6 From the sole of the foot—to the head, There is no soundness in it, Wound, and bruise, and fresh striking! They have not been closed nor bound, Nor have they softened with ointment.

ಅಂಗಾಲಿನಿಂದ ನಡುನೆತ್ತಿಯವರೆಗೂ ಬಾಸುಂಡೆ, ಪೆಟ್ಟು, ಮಾಗದ ಗಾಯಗಳೇ ಹೊರತು ಏನೂ ಸೌಖ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತೊಳೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಕಟ್ಟಿಲ್ಲ, ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಸವರಿ ಮೃದು ಮಾಡಿಲ್ಲ.

7 Your land [is] a desolation, your cities burned with fire, Your ground—strangers are consuming it before you, And a desolation as overthrown by strangers!

ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇಶವು ಹಾಳಾಗಿದೆ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಟ್ಟುಹೋಗಿವೆ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೊಲಗಳನ್ನು ಪರರು ನಿಮ್ಮೆದುರಿಗೆ ನುಂಗಿಬಿಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅದು ಇತರ ಜನರಿಂದ ಕೆಡವಿಬಿದ್ದು ಹಾಳಾಗಿದೆ.

8 And the daughter of Zion has been left, As a shelter in a vineyard, As a lodge in a place of cucumbers—as a city besieged.

ಚೀಯೋನ್ ಪುತ್ರಿಯು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿ ತೋಟದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮನೆಯ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ, ಸೌತೆಕಾಯಿಯ ಹೊಲದ ಗುಡಿಸಿಲಿನ ಹಾಗೂ ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿರುವ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಇದೆ.

9 Unless YHWH of Hosts had left a remnant to us, Shortly—we had been as Sodom, We had been like to Gomorrah!

ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಮಗೆ ಮಿಕ್ಕಿದ್ದರಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪವನ್ನಾದರೂ ಉಳಿಸದೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದರೆ, ನಾವು ಸೊದೋಮಿನಂತೆ ಆಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆವು, ಗೊಮೋರಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮಾನವಾಗಿಯೂ ಇರುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆವು.

10 Hear the word of YHWH, you rulers of Sodom, Give ear to the Law of our God, you people of Gomorrah,

ಸೊದೋಮಿನ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳೇ, ನೀವು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ. ಗೊಮೋರದ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳೇ! ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರ ನಿಯಮಕ್ಕೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಿರಿ.

11 “Why the abundance of your sacrifices to Me?” says YHWH, “I have been satiated [with] burnt-offerings of rams, And fat of fatlings; And blood of bullocks, and lambs, And I have not desired male goats.

“ನೀವು ಲೆಕ್ಕವಿಲ್ಲದಷ್ಟು ಯಜ್ಞಗಳನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶವೇನು?” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನುಡಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. “ಟಗರುಗಳ ದಹನಬಲಿಗಳು, ಪುಷ್ಟಪಶುಗಳ ಕೊಬ್ಬು ಇದೆಲ್ಲಾ ನನಗೆ ಬೇಸರ. ಹೋರಿ, ಕುರಿ, ಹೋತಗಳ ರಕ್ತಕ್ಕೆ, ನಾನು ಸಂತೋಷಪಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

12 When you come to appear before Me, Who has required this of your hand, To trample My courts?

ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬರುತ್ತೀರಲ್ಲಾ, ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಕಾರಗಳನ್ನು ತುಳಿಯಲು ಯಾರು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡರು.

13 Do not add to bring in a vain present, Incense—it [is] an abomination to Me, New moon, and Sabbath, calling of convocation! Do not render iniquity—and a restraint!

ಇನ್ನು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾದ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ತರಬೇಡಿರಿ! ನಿಮ್ಮ ಧೂಪವು ನನಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯ. ಅಮಾವಾಸ್ಯೆಗಳು, ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನಗಳು, ಸಭೆಗಳು ಕೂಡುವುದು ಇವು ಬೇಡ. ದುಷ್ಟತನದಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ ವಿಶೇಷ ಕೂಟವನ್ನು ಸಹ ಸಹಿಸಲಾರೆನು.

14 My soul has hated your new moons and your set seasons, They have been on Me for a burden, I have been weary of bearing.

ನಿಮ್ಮ ಅಮಾವಾಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ನೇಮಕವಾದ ಹಬ್ಬಗಳನ್ನೂ ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವು ದ್ವೇಷಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಅವು ನನಗೆ ಭಾರ, ಸಹಿಸಲು ಬೇಸರ.

15 And in your spreading forth your hands, I hide My eyes from you, Also when you increase prayer, I do not hear, Your hands have been full of blood.

ನೀವು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಲು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನು ಚಾಚುವಾಗ, ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಮರೆಮಾಡುವೆನು; ಹೌದು, ನೀವು ಬಹು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರೂ ನಾನು ಕೇಳೆನು. “ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗಳು ರಕ್ತದಿಂದ ತೊಯ್ದಿವೆ!

16 Wash yourselves, make yourselves pure, Turn aside the evil of your doings, from before My eyes, Cease to do evil, learn to do good.

“ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತೊಳೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಶುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣೆದುರಿನಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದುಷ್ಟಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿರಿ. ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿಬಿಡಿರಿ.

17 Seek judgment, make the oppressed blessed, Judge the fatherless, strive [for] the widow.

ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲು ಕಲಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿರಿ. ಹಿಂಸೆಪಡುವವರನ್ನು ಉಪಚರಿಸಿರಿ. ಅನಾಥರಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸಿರಿ. ವಿಧವೆಯರ ಪರವಾಗಿ ವಾದಿಸಿರಿ.

18 Now come, and we settle this,” says YHWH, “If your sins are as scarlet, they will be white as snow, If they are red as crimson, they will be as wool!

“ಈಗ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ, ನಾವು ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ವಾದಿಸೋಣ,” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. “ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಾಪಗಳು ಕಡುಕೆಂಪಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಹಿಮದಂತೆ ಬೆಳ್ಳಗಾಗುವುವು. ರಕ್ತದಂತೆ ಕಡುಕೆಂಪಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಉಣ್ಣೆಯಂತೆ ಆಗುವುವು.

19 If you are willing, and have listened, The good of the land you consume,

ನೀವು ಒಪ್ಪಿ ವಿಧೇಯರಾದರೆ ದೇಶದ ಸತ್ಫಲವನ್ನು ಸವಿಯುವಿರಿ.

20 And if you refuse, and have rebelled, You are consumed [by] the sword,” For the mouth of YHWH has spoken.

ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿ ತಿರುಗಿಬಿದ್ದರೆ, ಖಡ್ಗದ ಬಾಯಿಗೆ ತುತ್ತಾಗುವಿರಿ,” ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ ಇದನ್ನು ನುಡಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

21 How has a faithful city become a harlot? I have filled it [with] judgment, Righteousness lodges in it—now murderers.

ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತಿಕೆಯ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರದ ಪಟ್ಟಣವಾಗಿದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ! ಅದು ನ್ಯಾಯದಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿ ನೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ಕೊಲೆಗಾರರಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದೆ.

22 Your silver has become dross, Your drink defiled with water.

ನಿನ್ನ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯು ಕಂದಾಯಿತು. ನಿನ್ನ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವು ನೀರಿನಿಂದ ಬೆರಕೆಯಾಯಿತು.

23 Your princes [are] apostates, and companions of thieves, Everyone loving a bribe, and pursuing rewards, They do not judge the fatherless, And the plea of the widow does not come to them.

ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳು ಎದುರುಬೀಳುವವರೂ, ಕಳ್ಳರ ಜೊತೆಗಾರರೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನೂ ಲಂಚ ಪ್ರಿಯನೂ, ಬಹುಮಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುವವನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಅವರು ಅನಾಥರಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸರು, ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ವಿಧವೆಯರ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವು ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

24 Therefore—a declaration of the Lord—YHWH of Hosts, the Mighty One of Israel: “Oh, I relieve Myself from My adversaries, And avenge Myself against My enemies,

ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತರಾದ ದೇವರೂ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಿಯೂ ಆದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ, “ಆಹಾ! ನನ್ನ ವೈರಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ನನ್ನ ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ಹೊರಹಾಕುತ್ತೇನೆ ಮತ್ತು ನನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಸೇಡು ತೀರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.

25 And I turn back My hand on you, And I refine your dross as purity, And I turn aside all your tin,

ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ಮಲಿನವನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಿವಾರಿಸಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಲ್ಮಷವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕುವೆನು.

26 And I give back your judges as at the first, And your counselors as in the beginning, After this you are called, A city of righteousness—a faithful city.”

ನಿನ್ನ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಂಚಿನ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ಆಲೋಚನಾಪರರನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ತಿರುಗಿ ಒದಗಿಸಿ ಕೊಡುವೆನು. ತರುವಾಯ ನೀನು ನೀತಿಯುಳ್ಳ ಪಟ್ಟಣವೆಂದೂ, ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತಿಕೆಯ ಪಟ್ಟಣವೆಂದೂ ಎನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆ.”

27 Zion is redeemed in judgment, And her captivity in righteousness.

ಚೀಯೋನ್ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪಿನಿಂದಲೂ, ನೀತಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪ ಹೊಂದಿದ ಆಕೆಯ ಜನರೂ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗುವರು.

28 And the destruction of transgressors and sinners [is] together, And those forsaking YHWH are consumed.

ಆದರೆ ದ್ರೋಹಿಗಳೂ, ಪಾಪಿಗಳೂ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ನಾಶವಾಗುವರು ಮತ್ತು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ತೊರೆದವರು ನಿರ್ಮೂಲವಾಗುವರು.

29 For [men] are ashamed because of the oaks That you have desired, And you are confounded because of the gardens That you have chosen.

“ನೀವು ಇಷ್ಟಪಟ್ಟ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಏಲಾ ಮರಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ನಾಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರಿ. ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ವನಗಳ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಲಜ್ಜೆಪಡುವಿರಿ.

30 For you are as an oak whose leaf is fading, And as a garden that has no water.

ನೀವು ಬಾಡಿದ ಎಲೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಏಲಾ ಮರದಂತೆಯೂ, ನೀರಿಲ್ಲದ ತೋಟದಂತೆಯೂ ಇರುವಿರಿ.

31 And the strong has been for tow, And his work for a spark, And both of them have burned together, And there is none quenching!

ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿನ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠನೇ ಸೆಣಬಿನ ನಾರು, ಅವನ ಕೆಲಸ, ಅವೆರಡೂ ಸೇರಿ ಯಾರೂ ಆರಿಸಲಾಗದಂತೆ ಅವು ಸುಟ್ಟುಹೋಗುವುವು.”
