Hosea 9

1 “Do not rejoice, O Israel, do not be joyful like the peoples, For you have gone whoring from your God, You have loved a wage near all floors of grain.

۱ ای اسرائیل مثل قوم‌ها شادی و وجد منمازیرا از خدای خود زنا نمودی و در همه خرمنها اجرت را دوست داشتی.

2 Floor and winepress do not feed them, And new wine fails in her,

۲ خرمنها وچرخشتها ایشان را پرورش نخواهد داد و شیره در آن ضایع خواهد شد.

3 They do not abide in the land of YHWH, And Ephraim has turned back [to] Egypt, And they eat an unclean thing in Asshur.

۳ در زمین خداوند ساکن نخواهند شد بلکه افرایم به مصر خواهد برگشت و ایشان در آشور چیزهای نجس خواهند خورد.

4 They do not pour out wine to YHWH, Nor are they sweet to Him, Their sacrifices [are] as bread of mourners to them, All eating it are unclean: For their bread [is] for themselves, It does not come into the house of YHWH.

۴ برای خداوند شراب نخواهند ریخت و مقبول او نخواهند شد. قربانی های ایشان مثل خوراک ماتمیان خواهد بود و هرکه از آنها بخورد نجس خواهد شد، زیرا خوراک ایشان برای اشتهای ایشان است. پس آن در خانه خداوند داخل نخواهد شد.

5 What do you do at the day appointed? And at the day of YHWH’s festival?

۵ پس در ایام مواسم و در ایام عیدهای خداوند چه خواهید کرد؟

6 For behold, they have gone because of destruction, Egypt gathers them, Moph buries them, The desirable things of their silver, Nettles possess them—a thorn [is] in their tents.

۶ زیرا اینک از ترس هلاکت رفته‌اند، اما مصر ایشان را جمع خواهدکرد و موف ایشان را دفن خواهد نمود. مکانهای نفیسه نقره ایشان را خارها به تصرف خواهندگرفت و در منازل ایشان شوکها خواهد بود.

7 The days of inspection have come in, The days of repayment have come in, Israel knows! The prophet [is] a fool, Mad [is] the man of the spirit, Because of the abundance of your iniquity, And great [is] the hatred.

۷ ایام عقوبت می‌آید. ایام مکافات می‌رسد و اسرائیل این را خواهند دانست. نبی احمق گردید و صاحب روح دیوانه شد به‌سبب کثرت گناه وفراوانی بغض تو.

8 Ephraim is looking [away] from My God, The prophet! A snare of a fowler [is] over all his ways, Hatred [is] in the house of his God.

۸ افرایم از جانب خدای من دیده بان بود. دام صیاد بر تمامی طریقهای انبیاگسترده شد. در خانه خدای ایشان عداوت است.

9 They have gone deep—have done corruptly, As [in] the days of Gibeah, He remembers their iniquity, He inspects their sins.

۹ مثل ایام جبعه فساد را به نهایت رسانیده‌اند، پس عصیان ایشان را بیاد می‌آورد و گناه ایشان رامکافات خواهد داد.

10 As grapes in a wilderness I found Israel, As the first-fruit in a fig tree, at its beginning, I have seen your fathers, They have gone in [to] Ba‘al-Peor, And are separated to a shameful thing, And have become abominable like their love.

۱۰ اسرائیل را مثل انگورها در بیابان یافتم. پدران شما را مثل نوبر انجیر در ابتدای موسمش دیدم. اما ایشان به بعل فغور رفتند و خویشتن رابرای رسوایی نذیره ساختند و مانند معشوقه خود مکروه شدند.

11 Ephraim [is] as a bird, their glory flies away, without birth, and without womb, and without conception.

۱۱ جلال افرایم مثل مرغ می‌پرد. زاییدن و حامله شدن و در رحم قرارگرفتن نخواهد شد.

12 For though they nourish their sons, I have made them childless—without man, Surely also, woe to them when I turn aside from them.

۱۲ و اگر فرزندان را بپرورانندایشان را بی‌اولاد خواهم ساخت به حدی که انسانی نخواهد ماند. وای بر ایشان حینی که من نیز از ایشان دور شوم.

13 Ephraim! When I have looked to the rock, Is planted in comeliness, And Ephraim [is] to bring out his sons to a slayer.

۱۳ افرایم حینی که او رابرگزیدم مثل صور در مرتع نیکو مغروس بود، اماافرایم پسران خود را برای قاتل بیرون خواهدآورد.

14 Give to them, YHWH—what do You give? Give to them miscarrying womb, and dry breasts.

۱۴ ‌ای خداوند به ایشان بده. چه بدهی؟ رحم سقط کننده و پستانهای خشک به ایشان بده.

15 All their evil [is] in Gilgal, Surely there I have hated them, Because of the evil of their doings, Out of My house I drive them, I no longer love them, All their heads [are] apostates.

۱۵ تمامی شرارت ایشان در جلجال است زیراکه در آنجا از ایشان نفرت داشتم. پس ایشان را به‌سبب اعمال زشت ایشان از خانه خود خواهم راند و ایشان را دیگر دوست نخواهم داشت چونکه جمیع سروران ایشان فتنه انگیزند.

16 Ephraim has been struck, Their root has dried up, they do not yield fruit, Indeed, though they bring forth, I have put to death the desired of their womb.

۱۶ افرایم خشک شده است و ریشه ایشان خشک گردیده، میوه نمی آورند و اگر نیز بزایند نتایج مرغوب رحم ایشان را خواهم کشت.

17 My God rejects them, Because they have not listened to Him, And they are wanderers among nations!”

۱۷ خدای من ایشان را ترک خواهد نمود چونکه او را نشنیدند، پس در میان امت‌ها آواره خواهند شد.
