Hosea 9
1 “Do not rejoice, O Israel, do not be joyful like the peoples, For you have gone whoring from your God, You have loved a wage near all floors of grain.
੧ਹੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ, ਅਨੰਦ ਨਾ ਹੋ, ਉੱਮਤਾਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਨਾ ਮਨਾ! ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਵਿਭਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ, ਅੰਨ ਦੇ ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਪਿੜ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਵੇਸਵਾਗਿਰੀ ਦੀ ਕਮਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ!
2 Floor and winepress do not feed them, And new wine fails in her,
੨ਪਿੜ ਅਤੇ ਚੁਬੱਚਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਪਾਲੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਨਵੀਂ ਮੈਅ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਥੁੜ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
3 They do not abide in the land of YHWH, And Ephraim has turned back [to] Egypt, And they eat an unclean thing in Asshur.
੩ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਵੱਸਣਗੇ, ਪਰ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਮਿਸਰ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਖਾਣਗੇ।
4 They do not pour out wine to YHWH, Nor are they sweet to Him, Their sacrifices [are] as bread of mourners to them, All eating it are unclean: For their bread [is] for themselves, It does not come into the house of YHWH.
੪ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਲਈ ਮੈਅ ਨਾ ਡੋਲ੍ਹਣਗੇ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਸੰਦ ਨਾ ਆਉਣਗੇ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਸੋਗ ਵਾਲੀ ਰੋਟੀ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਹੋਣਗੇ, ਸਾਰੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਖਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਲੀਤ ਹੋਣਗੇ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੋਟੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਭੁੱਖ ਲਈ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ, ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਆਵੇਗੀ।
5 What do you do at the day appointed? And at the day of YHWH’s festival?
੫ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਰਬਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਲਈ, ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਰਬ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਲਈ ਕੀ ਕਰੋਗੇ?
6 For behold, they have gone because of destruction, Egypt gathers them, Moph buries them, The desirable things of their silver, Nettles possess them—a thorn [is] in their tents.
੬ਵੇਖੋ ਤਾਂ, ਉਹ ਬਰਬਾਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ, ਪਰ ਮਿਸਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਮੋਫ਼ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਫ਼ਨ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਬਿੱਛੂ ਬੂਟੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਕਰ ਲਵੇਗੀ, ਕੰਡੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਤੰਬੂਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਣਗੇ।
7 The days of inspection have come in, The days of repayment have come in, Israel knows! The prophet [is] a fool, Mad [is] the man of the spirit, Because of the abundance of your iniquity, And great [is] the hatred.
੭ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਆ ਗਏ, ਬਦਲੇ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਆ ਗਏ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਇਹ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣੇਗਾ, ਨਬੀ ਮੂਰਖ ਹੈ, ਰੂਹ ਵਾਲਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਪਾਗਲ ਹੈ, ਤੇਰੀ ਬਦੀ ਦੀ ਵਾਫ਼ਰੀ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ, ਤੇਰੀ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣੀ ਦੇ ਵਾਧੇ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ।
8 Ephraim is looking [away] from My God, The prophet! A snare of a fowler [is] over all his ways, Hatred [is] in the house of his God.
੮ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਾਲ ਪਹਿਰੇਦਾਰ ਹੈ, ਹੁਣ ਰਿਹਾ ਨਬੀ, - ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਚਿੜ੍ਹੀਮਾਰ ਦਾ ਜਾਲ਼ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣੀ ਹੈ।
9 They have gone deep—have done corruptly, As [in] the days of Gibeah, He remembers their iniquity, He inspects their sins.
੯ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਜ ਕੇ ਖ਼ਰਾਬ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਗਿਬਆਹ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਉਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਉਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਲਵੇਗਾ।
10 As grapes in a wilderness I found Israel, As the first-fruit in a fig tree, at its beginning, I have seen your fathers, They have gone in [to] Ba‘al-Peor, And are separated to a shameful thing, And have become abominable like their love.
੧੦ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੰਗੂਰਾਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਪਾਇਆ, ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੰਜ਼ੀਰ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਫਲ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਰੁੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੇਖਿਆ, ਉਹ ਬਆਲ ਪਓਰ ਨੂੰ ਗਏ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਮ ਲਈ ਅਰਪਣ ਕੀਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨਮੋਹਣੇ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਘਿਣਾਉਣੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
11 Ephraim [is] as a bird, their glory flies away, without birth, and without womb, and without conception.
੧੧ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਦਾ ਪਰਤਾਪ ਪੰਛੀ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਉੱਡ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, - ਨਾ ਜਣਨ, ਨਾ ਹਮਲ, ਨਾ ਗਰਭ!
12 For though they nourish their sons, I have made them childless—without man, Surely also, woe to them when I turn aside from them.
੧੨ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਬੱਚੇ ਪਾਲਣ, ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਔਂਤਰਾ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਇੱਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਆਦਮੀ ਨਾ ਰਹੇ, ਅਤੇ ਹਾਏ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਵਾਂਗਾ!
13 Ephraim! When I have looked to the rock, Is planted in comeliness, And Ephraim [is] to bring out his sons to a slayer.
੧੩ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਸੂਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ, ਚੰਗੇ ਥਾਂ ਲਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਢਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਲਈ ਬਾਹਰ ਲੈ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ!
14 Give to them, YHWH—what do You give? Give to them miscarrying womb, and dry breasts.
੧੪ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ! ਤੂੰ ਕੀ ਦੇਵੇਂਗਾ? ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਰਭਪਾਤ ਵਾਲੀ ਕੁੱਖ ਅਤੇ ਸੁੱਕੀਆਂ ਛਾਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ!
15 All their evil [is] in Gilgal, Surely there I have hated them, Because of the evil of their doings, Out of My house I drive them, I no longer love them, All their heads [are] apostates.
੧੫ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਗਿਲਗਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ, ਉੱਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਘਿਣ ਕੀਤੀ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਬੁਰੀਆਂ ਕਰਤੂਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਵਨ ਤੋਂ ਧੱਕ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਫੇਰ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹਾਕਮ ਬਾਗੀ ਹਨ।
16 Ephraim has been struck, Their root has dried up, they do not yield fruit, Indeed, though they bring forth, I have put to death the desired of their womb.
੧੬ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ, ਉਹ ਦੀ ਜੜ੍ਹ ਸੁੱਕ ਗਈ, ਉਹ ਫਲ ਨਾ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ, ਜੇ ਉਹ ਜਣਨ ਵੀ, ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਾਡਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
17 My God rejects them, Because they have not listened to Him, And they are wanderers among nations!”
੧੭ਮੇਰਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਦ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣਦੇ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਵਾਰਾ ਫਿਰਨਗੇ।
