Hosea 9
1 “Do not rejoice, O Israel, do not be joyful like the peoples, For you have gone whoring from your God, You have loved a wage near all floors of grain.
Aza dia fatra-pifaly loatra, toy ny firenena hafa, ry Isiraely; Fa ianao efa nijangajanga niala tamin’ Andriamanitrao sady efa tia tangy teny am-pamoloana rehetra;
2 Floor and winepress do not feed them, And new wine fails in her,
Ny famoloana sy ny fanantazana tsy hahavelona azy, ary hahadiso fanantenana azy ny ranom-boaloboka.
3 They do not abide in the land of YHWH, And Ephraim has turned back [to] Egypt, And they eat an unclean thing in Asshur.
Tsy honina ao amin’ ny tanin’ i Jehovah izy; Fa Efraima hiverina ho any Egypta ary hihinana zava-padina any Asyria.
4 They do not pour out wine to YHWH, Nor are they sweet to Him, Their sacrifices [are] as bread of mourners to them, All eating it are unclean: For their bread [is] for themselves, It does not come into the house of YHWH.
Tsy hanidina divay ho fanatitra ho an’ i Jehovah izy, ary tsy hankasitrahany; Ny zavatra vonoiny hatao fanatitra dia ho toy ny fahan-kanina ho an’ ny mpisaona aminy: Izay rehetra homana izany dia voaloto; Fa ny haniny dia ho an’ ny tenany ihany, fa tsy ho tafiditra ao an-tranon’ i Jehovah.
5 What do you do at the day appointed? And at the day of YHWH’s festival?
Hanao ahoana kosa re ianareo, raha mby amin’ ny fotoam-pivavahana sy amin’ ny andro firavoravoana voatendrin’ i Jehovah?
6 For behold, they have gone because of destruction, Egypt gathers them, Moph buries them, The desirable things of their silver, Nettles possess them—a thorn [is] in their tents.
Fa he! lasa izy noho ny fandringanana; Egypta no hanangona azy, Memfisa no handevina azy; Ny fana-bolafotsiny mahafinaritra dia ho lasan’ ny amiana, tsilo no ho ao an-dainy.
7 The days of inspection have come in, The days of repayment have come in, Israel knows! The prophet [is] a fool, Mad [is] the man of the spirit, Because of the abundance of your iniquity, And great [is] the hatred.
Tonga ireo andro famaliana, tonga ireo andro fanodiavana Ho fantatr’ Isiraely fa adala ny mpaminany, ary very saina ny olona tsindriam-panahy noho ny hamaroan’ ny helokao sy ny habetsahan’ ny fanoherana.
8 Ephraim is looking [away] from My God, The prophet! A snare of a fowler [is] over all his ways, Hatred [is] in the house of his God.
Efraima dia mizaha, nefa tsy avy amin’ Andriamanitro; Ny mpaminany dia fandriky ny mpamandri-borona eny amin’ ny alehany rehetra sy fanoherana ao an-tranon’ Andriamaniny.
9 They have gone deep—have done corruptly, As [in] the days of Gibeah, He remembers their iniquity, He inspects their sins.
Fatra-panao ratsy toy ny tamin’ ny andro tany Gibea izy; Ka dia hotsarovana ny helony, ary hovaliana ny fahotany.
10 As grapes in a wilderness I found Israel, As the first-fruit in a fig tree, at its beginning, I have seen your fathers, They have gone in [to] Ba‘al-Peor, And are separated to a shameful thing, And have become abominable like their love.
Tahaka ny fahitana voaloboka any an-efitra no nahitako ny Isiraely, toy ny fahitana aviavy mialin-taona no nahitako ny razanareo; Nefa ireny dia tonga tany Bala-peora ka nanolo-tena ho amin’ ilay mampahamenatra, ka dia tonga fahavetavetana tahaka an’ ilay tiany ihany izy.
11 Ephraim [is] as a bird, their glory flies away, without birth, and without womb, and without conception.
Ny amin’ i Efraima, hihelina toy ny voro-manidina ny voninahiny, ka tsy hisy hiteraka, na hanan’ anaka, na ho torontoronina.
12 For though they nourish their sons, I have made them childless—without man, Surely also, woe to them when I turn aside from them.
Na dia misy mitaiza zanaka aza izy, dia hofoanako ihany ireny, ka tsy hisy miangana; Eny, hahita loza koa izy amin’ ny handaozako azy!
13 Ephraim! When I have looked to the rock, Is planted in comeliness, And Ephraim [is] to bring out his sons to a slayer.
Efraima, raha araka ny hitako, dia voavoly ao amin’ ny tany mahafinaritra tahaka an’ i Tyro, nefa tsy maintsy mamoaka ny zanany ho amin’ ny mpamono izy.
14 Give to them, YHWH—what do You give? Give to them miscarrying womb, and dry breasts.
Jehovah ô, omeo azy ― inona no homenao azy? Omeo azy ny kibo tsy mahazo zaza sy ny nono ritra.
15 All their evil [is] in Gilgal, Surely there I have hated them, Because of the evil of their doings, Out of My house I drive them, I no longer love them, All their heads [are] apostates.
Ao Gilgala ny fahotany rehetra, eny, tao no vao nankahalako azy; Noho ny faharatsian’ ny ataony dia horoahiko hiala ao an-tranoko izy; Tsy ho tia azy intsony Aho, mpiodina avokoa ny mpanapaka azy.
16 Ephraim has been struck, Their root has dried up, they do not yield fruit, Indeed, though they bring forth, I have put to death the desired of their womb.
Voaratra Efraima, maina ny fakany, ka tsy hamoa izy; Eny, na dia miteraka aza izy, dia hovonoiko ny zanany mahafinaritra azy.
17 My God rejects them, Because they have not listened to Him, And they are wanderers among nations!”
Harian’ Andriamanitro izy, satria tsy nihaino Azy; Ka dia ho tonga mpirenireny any amin’ ny jentilisa izy.
