Hosea 9
1 “Do not rejoice, O Israel, do not be joyful like the peoples, For you have gone whoring from your God, You have loved a wage near all floors of grain.
Israel te na Pathen taeng lamloh na cukhalh uh cangpai cangtilhmuen tom ah a paang na lungnah uh dongah ni pilnam bangla omngaihnah la na ko a hoe uh pawh.
2 Floor and winepress do not feed them, And new wine fails in her,
Cangtilhmuen neh va-am loh amih te luem puei pawt vetih a khuiah misur thai loh a vaitah ni.
3 They do not abide in the land of YHWH, And Ephraim has turned back [to] Egypt, And they eat an unclean thing in Asshur.
BOEIPA kah khohmuen ah kho a sak uh pawt vaengah tah Ephraim te Egypt la mael vetih Assyria ah rhalawt hno a caak uh ni.
4 They do not pour out wine to YHWH, Nor are they sweet to Him, Their sacrifices [are] as bread of mourners to them, All eating it are unclean: For their bread [is] for themselves, It does not come into the house of YHWH.
BOEIPA taengah misurtui bueih uh pawt vetih a taengah a lungtui uh mahpawh. Amih kah hmueih te amamih taengah tamsa buh bangla om ni. A hinglu te BOEIPA im la a kun pawt dongah aka ca boeih khaw a buh neh poeih uh ni.
5 What do you do at the day appointed? And at the day of YHWH’s festival?
Tingtunnah hnin neh BOEIPA kah khotue hnin ah balae na saii uh eh?
6 For behold, they have gone because of destruction, Egypt gathers them, Moph buries them, The desirable things of their silver, Nettles possess them—a thorn [is] in their tents.
rhoelrhanah lamloh cet uh mai cakhaw ne, amih te Egypt loh a coi vetih Memphis loh amah la a up ni. Amih kah cak te dohui loh a nulnah uh vetih amamih khaw a dap khuiah ni mutlo hling loh a huet eh.
7 The days of inspection have come in, The days of repayment have come in, Israel knows! The prophet [is] a fool, Mad [is] the man of the spirit, Because of the abundance of your iniquity, And great [is] the hatred.
Cawhnah hnin a pha coeng, sahnah hnin a pha coeng. Tonghma ang neh mueihla hlang kah a pavai Israel loh ming saeh. Namah thaesainah loh cungkuem tih na muennah khaw yet.
8 Ephraim is looking [away] from My God, The prophet! A snare of a fowler [is] over all his ways, Hatred [is] in the house of his God.
Ka Pathen neh Ephraim aka tawt tonghma khaw a longpuei boeih ah sayuep kah pael a om pah tih a Pathen im ah muennah om.
9 They have gone deep—have done corruptly, As [in] the days of Gibeah, He remembers their iniquity, He inspects their sins.
Gibeah tue bangla muelh paci uh amih kah tholhnah a cawh pah vaengah amamih kathaesainah a poek bitni.
10 As grapes in a wilderness I found Israel, As the first-fruit in a fig tree, at its beginning, I have seen your fathers, They have gone in [to] Ba‘al-Peor, And are separated to a shameful thing, And have become abominable like their love.
Israel khaw khosoek kah misur bangla ka hmuh. Thaibu dongkah thaihloe a moe vaengkah bangla ka hmuh. Na pa rhoek khaw Baalpeor la a caeh uh dongah ni yahpohnah dongah a cue uh akhaw sarhingkoi te a lungnah bangla om uh.
11 Ephraim [is] as a bird, their glory flies away, without birth, and without womb, and without conception.
Ephraim loh amih kah thangpomnah te cacun khui lamloh, bungko lamloh, rhumpum lamloh vaa bangla a ding puei ni.
12 For though they nourish their sons, I have made them childless—without man, Surely also, woe to them when I turn aside from them.
A ca rhoek te pantai uh mai bal cakhaw hlang te a pum la ka cakol sak ni. Amih taeng lamloh ka nong vaengah amih aih te anunae!
13 Ephraim! When I have looked to the rock, Is planted in comeliness, And Ephraim [is] to bring out his sons to a slayer.
Ephraim te Tyre taengah tolkhoeng dongkah a phung bangla ka hmuh dae Ephraim he a ca rhoek aka ngawn pah taengah khuen ham om.
14 Give to them, YHWH—what do You give? Give to them miscarrying womb, and dry breasts.
Aw BOEIPA amih te pae dae. Balae tih amih te cakol bung neh rhangsuk aka rhae te a paek khaw na paek eh?
15 All their evil [is] in Gilgal, Surely there I have hated them, Because of the evil of their doings, Out of My house I drive them, I no longer love them, All their heads [are] apostates.
Amih kah boethae loh Gilgal ah khaw cungkuem coeng. Amih kah khoboe thaenah dongah ni amih te hnap ka thiinah. Amih te ka im lamloh ka haek vetih amih lungnah ham ka khoep mahpawh. A mangpa boeih khaw a thinthah uh.
16 Ephraim has been struck, Their root has dried up, they do not yield fruit, Indeed, though they bring forth, I have put to death the desired of their womb.
Ephraim te a ngawn tih a yung a koh dongah a thaih a cuen kolla om mahpawt nim? Amih bungko kah ngailaemnah te cun uh mai sitoe cakhaw ka duek sak ni.
17 My God rejects them, Because they have not listened to Him, And they are wanderers among nations!”
A ol te a hnatun uh pawt dongah amih te ka Pathen loh a hnawt vetih namtom taengah aka poeng la om uh ni.
