< Hosea 10 >
1 “Israel [is] an empty vine, He makes fruit like to himself, According to the abundance of his fruit, He has multiplied for the altars, According to the goodness of his land, They have made good standing-pillars.
Vahe nandrevake t’Israele, niregorego o voa’eo, ie nitombo o famokara’eo, le nampitomboe’e ka o kitreli’eo; mira ami’ty havokara’ i tane’ey ty nampisomontie’e o samposampo’eo.
2 Their heart has been divided, now they are guilty, He breaks down their altars, He destroys their standing-pillars.
Fa mizara ty arofo’ iareo; fa hivave hakeo iereo; ho hatsafe’e o kitreli’ iareoo, ho rotsahe’e o samposampo’eo.
3 For now they say: We have no king, Because we have not feared YHWH, And the king—what does he do for us?
Hanao ty hoe iereo te aniany, Tsy amam-panjàka zahay, ami’ty tsy fañeveña’ay am’ Iehovà; fa ho nanao inoñe ho antika ty mpanjaka?
4 They have spoken words, To swear falsehood in making a covenant, And flourished as a poisonous herb has judgment, on the furrows of a field.
Mivolambolañe avao iereo, manao fanta vìlañe naho mifañìna; aa le hitiry hoe lombiry am-bavahalin-tete’ iareo ty zaka.
5 For the inhabitants of Samaria fear the calves of Beth-Aven, Surely its people have mourned on account of it, And its priests leap about on account of it, Because of its glory, for it has removed from it,
Mihondrahondra o mpimone’ i Someroneo ty amo bania’ i Bet’aveneo; handala i baniay ondatio, naho o mpisoroñe nañonjoñe azeo, ty amy enge’ey, fa niakatse añe izay.
6 Also, it is carried to Asshur, a present to a warlike king, Ephraim receives shame, And Israel is ashamed of its own counsel.
Ie hasese mb’e Asore añe ho ravoravo am’ Iarebe mpanjaka; ho salareñe t’i Efraime, vaho ho meñatse t’Israele ty amo fañòha’eo.
7 Samaria is cut off! Its king [is] as wrath on the face of the waters.
I Somerone: fa naitoañe i mpanjaka’ey, manahake ty vore mihafoñ’ ambone rano eo.
8 And high places of Aven have been destroyed, the sin of Israel. Thorn and bramble go up on their altars, And they have said to hills, Cover us, And to heights, Fall on us.
Ho rotsaheñe o kitreli’ i Aveneo, ty hakeo’ Israele; hitiry amo kitreli’e iabio ty fatike naho ty hisatse, le hanoeñe ty hoe o vohitseo, Lembefo zahay; naho o haboañeo, Mitraboha ama’ay.
9 From the days of Gibeah you have sinned, O Israel, There they have stood, Battle does not overtake them in Gibeah, Because of sons of perverseness.
Ry Israele, fa nandilatse hirik’añ’andro’ i Gibà irehe; nijihetse ey avao iereo; Tsy nahafivohotse ondaty mirengevoke e Gibà ao i hotakotakey.
10 When I desire, then I bind them, And peoples have gathered against them, When they bind themselves to their two iniquities.
Ho liloveko an-tsatriko; vaho hifanontoñe haname iareo o kilakila’ ondatio, le ho rohizeñe ty amy hakeo roe zay iereo.
11 And Ephraim [is] a trained heifer—loving to thresh, And I have passed over on the goodness of its neck, I cause [one] to ride Ephraim, Judah plows, Jacob harrows for him.
Kiloa finolake t’i Efraime, tea’e ty mandisañe; le nampiariako ambone’ i hàto’e fanjàkay ty ana-joka, hitariha’ i Efraime, hitan-dasarý t’Iehodà, vaho ho bonabonahe’ Iakobe o boko’eo.
12 Sow for yourselves in righteousness, Reap according to loving-kindness, Till for yourselves tillage of knowledge, To seek YHWH, Until He comes and shows righteousness to you.
Mitongisa havantañañe, mitataha fiferenaiñañe; bonabonaho o moka’ areoo; fa tondroke ty fipaiañe Iehovà, ampara’ t’ie totsake eo hampidoañe havañonañe ama’ areo.
13 You have plowed wickedness, Perversity you have reaped, You have eaten the fruit of lying, For you have trusted in your way, In the abundance of your might.
Navae’ areo ty halò-tsereke, nitatahe’ areo ty hakeo, ho kamae’ areo ty vokam-pandañirañe, amy te niatoa’o o sata’oo, naho ty hatsifotofoto’ o fanalolahi’oo.
14 And a tumult rises among your people, And all your fortresses are spoiled, As the spoiling of Shalman of Beth-Arbel, In a day of battle, Mother against sons dashed in pieces.
Aa le hitroatse añivo’ ondati’oo ty fifandragaragàñe; fonga ho rotsake o rova fatratseo, manahake ty nandrotsaha’ i Salmane i Bet’arbele, tañ’andro’ i hotakotakey; dinemoke rekets’ an-drene’e o ana’eo.
15 Thus has Beth-El done to you, Because of the evil of your wickedness, In the dawn a king of Israel is utterly cut off!”
Hambañe amy zay ty hanoa’ i Betele o halò-tsere’ areoo; ho vata’e aitoañe ty mpanjaka’ Israele te maraindray.
