Hebrews 7
1 For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of God Most High, who met Abraham turning back from the striking of the kings, and blessed him,
ஸா²லமஸ்ய ராஜா ஸர்வ்வோபரிஸ்த²ஸ்யேஸ்²வரஸ்ய யாஜகஸ்²ச ஸந் யோ ந்ரு’பதீநாம்’ மாரணாத் ப்ரத்யாக³தம் இப்³ராஹீமம்’ ஸாக்ஷாத்க்ரு’த்யாஸி²ஷம்’ க³தி³தவாந்,
2 to whom also Abraham divided a tenth of all (first, indeed, being interpreted, “King of righteousness,” and then also, “King of Salem,” which is, King of Peace),
யஸ்மை சேப்³ராஹீம் ஸர்வ்வத்³ரவ்யாணாம்’ த³ஸ²மாம்’ஸ²ம்’ த³த்தவாந் ஸ மல்கீஷேத³க் ஸ்வநாம்நோ(அ)ர்தே²ந ப்ரத²மதோ த⁴ர்ம்மராஜ: பஸ்²சாத் ஸா²லமஸ்ய ராஜார்த²த: ஸா²ந்திராஜோ ப⁴வதி|
3 without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, and having been like the Son of God, remains a priest continually.
அபரம்’ தஸ்ய பிதா மாதா வம்’ஸ²ஸ்ய நிர்ணய ஆயுஷ ஆரம்போ⁴ ஜீவநஸ்ய ஸே²ஷஸ்²சைதேஷாம் அபா⁴வோ ப⁴வதி, இத்த²ம்’ ஸ ஈஸ்²வரபுத்ரஸ்ய ஸத்³ரு’ஸீ²க்ரு’த: , ஸ த்வநந்தகாலம்’ யாவத்³ யாஜகஸ்திஷ்ட²தி|
4 And see how great this one [is], to whom Abraham the patriarch also gave a tenth out of the best of the spoils,
அதஏவாஸ்மாகம்’ பூர்வ்வபுருஷ இப்³ராஹீம் யஸ்மை லுடி²தத்³ரவ்யாணாம்’ த³ஸ²மாம்’ஸ²ம்’ த³த்தவாந் ஸ கீத்³ரு’க் மஹாந் தத்³ ஆலோசயத|
5 and those, indeed, out of the sons of Levi receiving the priesthood, have a command to take tithes from the people according to the Law, that is, their brothers, even though they came forth out of the loins of Abraham;
யாஜகத்வப்ராப்தா லேவே: ஸந்தாநா வ்யவஸ்தா²நுஸாரேண லோகேப்⁴யோ(அ)ர்த²த இப்³ராஹீமோ ஜாதேப்⁴ய: ஸ்வீயப்⁴ராத்ரு’ப்⁴யோ த³ஸ²மாம்’ஸ²க்³ரஹணஸ்யாதே³ஸ²ம்’ லப்³த⁴வந்த: |
6 and he who was not reckoned by genealogy of them, received tithes from Abraham, and he has blessed him having the promises,
கிந்த்வஸௌ யத்³யபி தேஷாம்’ வம்’ஸா²த் நோத்பந்நஸ்ததா²பீப்³ராஹீமோ த³ஸ²மாம்’ஸ²ம்’ க்³ரு’ஹீதவாந் ப்ரதிஜ்ஞாநாம் அதி⁴காரிணம் ஆஸி²ஷம்’ க³தி³தவாம்’ஸ்²ச|
7 and apart from all controversy, the less is blessed by the better—
அபரம்’ ய: ஸ்²ரேயாந் ஸ க்ஷுத்³ரதராயாஸி²ஷம்’ த³தா³தீத்யத்ர கோ(அ)பி ஸந்தே³ஹோ நாஸ்தி|
8 and here, indeed, men who die receive tithes, and there [he] who is testified to that he was living,
அபரம் இதா³நீம்’ யே த³ஸ²மாம்’ஸ²ம்’ க்³ரு’ஹ்லந்தி தே ம்ரு’த்யோரதீ⁴நா மாநவா: கிந்து ததா³நீம்’ யோ க்³ரு’ஹீதவாந் ஸ ஜீவதீதிப்ரமாணப்ராப்த: |
9 and so to speak, through Abraham even Levi who is receiving tithes, has paid tithes,
அபரம்’ த³ஸ²மாம்’ஸ²க்³ராஹீ லேவிரபீப்³ராஹீம்த்³வாரா த³ஸ²மாம்’ஸ²ம்’ த³த்தவாந் ஏதத³பி கத²யிதும்’ ஸ²க்யதே|
10 for he was yet in the loins of the father when Melchizedek met him.
யதோ யதா³ மல்கீஷேத³க் தஸ்ய பிதரம்’ ஸாக்ஷாத் க்ரு’தவாந் ததா³நீம்’ ஸ லேவி: பிதுருரஸ்யாஸீத்|
11 If indeed, then, perfection were through the Levitical priesthood—for the people under it had received law—what further need, according to the order of Melchizedek, for another priest to arise, and not to be called according to the order of Aaron?
அபரம்’ யஸ்ய ஸம்ப³ந்தே⁴ லோகா வ்யவஸ்தா²ம்’ லப்³த⁴வந்தஸ்தேந லேவீயயாஜகவர்கே³ண யதி³ ஸித்³தி⁴: ஸமப⁴விஷ்யத் தர்ஹி ஹாரோணஸ்ய ஸ்²ரேண்யா மத்⁴யாத்³ யாஜகம்’ ந நிரூப்யேஸ்²வரேண மல்கீஷேத³க: ஸ்²ரேண்யா மத்⁴யாத்³ அபரஸ்யைகஸ்ய யாஜகஸ்யோத்தா²பநம்’ குத ஆவஸ்²யகம் அப⁴விஷ்யத்?
12 For the priesthood being changed, of necessity also, a change comes of the Law,
யதோ யாஜகவர்க³ஸ்ய விநிமயேந ஸுதராம்’ வ்யவஸ்தா²யா அபி விநிமயோ ஜாயதே|
13 for He of whom these things are said in another tribe has had part, of whom no one gave attendance at the altar,
அபரஞ்ச தத்³ வாக்யம்’ யஸ்யோத்³தே³ஸ்²யம்’ ஸோ(அ)பரேண வம்’ஸே²ந ஸம்’யுக்தா(அ)ஸ்தி தஸ்ய வம்’ஸ²ஸ்ய ச கோ(அ)பி கதா³பி வேத்³யா: கர்ம்ம ந க்ரு’தவாந்|
14 for [it is] evident that out of Judah has arisen our Lord, in regard to which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood.
வஸ்துதஸ்து யம்’ வம்’ஸ²மதி⁴ மூஸா யாஜகத்வஸ்யைகாம்’ கதா²மபி ந கதி²தவாந் தஸ்மிந் யிஹூதா³வம்’ஸே²(அ)ஸ்மாகம்’ ப்ரபு⁴ ர்ஜந்ம க்³ரு’ஹீதவாந் இதி ஸுஸ்பஷ்டம்’|
15 And it is yet more abundantly most evident, if according to the likeness of Melchizedek there arises another priest,
தஸ்ய ஸ்பஷ்டதரம் அபரம்’ ப்ரமாணமித³ம்’ யத் மல்கீஷேத³க: ஸாத்³ரு’ஸ்²யவதாபரேண தாத்³ரு’ஸே²ந யாஜகேநோதே³தவ்யம்’,
16 who did not come according to the law of a fleshly command, but according to the power of an endless life,
யஸ்ய நிரூபணம்’ ஸ²ரீரஸம்ப³ந்தீ⁴யவிதி⁴யுக்தயா வ்யவஸ்தா²யா ந ப⁴வதி கிந்த்வக்ஷயஜீவநயுக்தயா ஸ²க்த்யா ப⁴வதி|
17 for He testifies, “You [are] a priest—throughout the age, according to the order of Melchizedek”; (aiōn g165)
யத ஈஸ்²வர இத³ம்’ ஸாக்ஷ்யம்’ த³த்தவாந், யதா², "த்வம்’ மக்லீஷேத³க: ஸ்²ரேண்யாம்’ யாஜகோ(அ)ஸி ஸதா³தந: | " (aiōn g165)
18 for an annulling indeed comes of the command going before because of its weakness, and unprofitableness
அநேநாக்³ரவர்த்திநோ விதே⁴ து³ர்ப்³ப³லதாயா நிஷ்ப²லதாயாஸ்²ச ஹேதோரர்த²தோ வ்யவஸ்த²யா கிமபி ஸித்³த⁴ம்’ ந ஜாதமிதிஹேதோஸ்தஸ்ய லோபோ ப⁴வதி|
19 (for nothing did the Law perfect), and the bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God.
யயா ச வயம் ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய நிகடவர்த்திநோ ப⁴வாம ஏதாத்³ரு’ஸீ² ஸ்²ரேஷ்ட²ப்ரத்யாஸா² ஸம்’ஸ்தா²ப்யதே|
20 And inasmuch as [it is] not apart from oath
அபரம்’ யீஸு²: ஸ²பத²ம்’ விநா ந நியுக்தஸ்தஸ்மாத³பி ஸ ஸ்²ரேஷ்ட²நியமஸ்ய மத்⁴யஸ்தோ² ஜாத: |
21 (for those indeed apart from oath have become priests, and He [became priest] with an oath through Him who is saying to Him, “The LORD swore, and will not regret, You [are] a priest throughout the age, according to the order of Melchizedek”), (aiōn g165)
யதஸ்தே ஸ²பத²ம்’ விநா யாஜகா ஜாதா: கிந்த்வஸௌ ஸ²பதே²ந ஜாத: யத: ஸ இத³முக்த: , யதா²,
22 by so much also has Jesus become guarantee of a better covenant,
"பரமேஸ² இத³ம்’ ஸே²பே ந ச தஸ்மாந்நிவர்த்ஸ்யதே| த்வம்’ மல்கீஷேத³க: ஸ்²ரேண்யாம்’ யாஜகோ(அ)ஸி ஸதா³தந: | " (aiōn g165)
23 and those indeed are many who have become priests, because by death they are hindered from remaining;
தே ச ப³ஹவோ யாஜகா அப⁴வந் யதஸ்தே ம்ரு’த்யுநா நித்யஸ்தா²யித்வாத் நிவாரிதா: ,
கிந்த்வஸாவநந்தகாலம்’ யாவத் திஷ்ட²தி தஸ்மாத் தஸ்ய யாஜகத்வம்’ ந பரிவர்த்தநீயம்’| (aiōn g165)
25 from where also He is able to save to the very end, those coming through Him to God—ever living to make intercession for them.
ததோ ஹேதோ ர்யே மாநவாஸ்தேநேஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸந்நிதி⁴ம்’ க³ச்ச²ந்தி தாந் ஸ ஸே²ஷம்’ யாவத் பரித்ராதும்’ ஸ²க்நோதி யதஸ்தேஷாம்’ க்ரு’தே ப்ரார்த²நாம்’ கர்த்தும்’ ஸ ஸததம்’ ஜீவதி|
26 For also such a Chief Priest was fitting for us—holy, innocent, undefiled, separate from the sinners, and having become higher than the heavens,
அபரம் அஸ்மாகம்’ தாத்³ரு’ஸ²மஹாயாஜகஸ்ய ப்ரயோஜநமாஸீத்³ ய: பவித்ரோ (அ)ஹிம்’ஸகோ நிஷ்கலங்க: பாபிப்⁴யோ பி⁴ந்ந: ஸ்வர்கா³த³ப்யுச்சீக்ரு’தஸ்²ச ஸ்யாத்|
27 who has no daily necessity, as the chief priests, to first offer up sacrifice for His own sins, then for those of the people; for this He did once, having offered up Himself;
அபரம்’ மஹாயாஜகாநாம்’ யதா² ததா² தஸ்ய ப்ரதிதி³நம்’ ப்ரத²மம்’ ஸ்வபாபாநாம்’ க்ரு’தே தத: பரம்’ லோகாநாம்’ பாபாநாம்’ க்ரு’தே ப³லிதா³நஸ்ய ப்ரயோஜநம்’ நாஸ்தி யத ஆத்மப³லிதா³நம்’ க்ரு’த்வா தத்³ ஏகக்ரு’த்வஸ்தேந ஸம்பாதி³தம்’|
28 for the Law appoints men [as] chief priests, having weakness, but the word of the oath that [is] after the Law [appoints] the Son having been perfected throughout the age. (aiōn g165)
யதோ வ்யவஸ்த²யா யே மஹாயாஜகா நிரூப்யந்தே தே தௌ³ர்ப்³ப³ல்யயுக்தா மாநவா: கிந்து வ்யவஸ்தா²த: பரம்’ ஸ²பத²யுக்தேந வாக்யேந யோ மஹாயாஜகோ நிரூபித: ஸோ (அ)நந்தகாலார்த²ம்’ ஸித்³த⁴: புத்ர ஏவ| (aiōn g165)
