Hebrews 6
1 For this reason, having left the word of the beginning of the Christ, we may advance to perfection, not laying again a foundation of conversion from dead works, and of faith on God,
Ngakho kasiyekeleni imfundiso elula ngoKhristu siqhubeke siye ekukhuleni. Kasingasibeki futhi isisekelo sokuphenduka ezenzweni eziholela ekufeni, lezokukholwa kuNkulunkulu,
2 of the teaching of immersions, also of laying on of hands, also of [the] resurrection of the dead, and of continuous judgment, (aiōnios g166)
lemfundiso ngemibhaphathizo, lokubekwa kwezandla, lokuvuka kwabafileyo kanye lokwahlulelwa okulaphakade. (aiōnios g166)
3 and this we will do, if God may permit,
Njalo nxa uNkulunkulu evuma sizakwenza njalo.
4 for [it is] impossible for those once enlightened, having also tasted of the heavenly gift, and having become partakers of the Holy Spirit,
Akwenzakali kulabo asebake bakhanyiselwa, asebenambithe isipho sasezulwini, asebehlanganyele kuMoya oNgcwele,
asebenambithe ubumnandi belizwi likaNkulunkulu kanye lamandla esikhathi esizayo, (aiōn g165)
6 and having fallen away, to renew [them] again to conversion, having crucified to themselves the Son of God again, and exposed to public shame.
njalo nxa behlamuka ukuba babuyiselwe ekuphendukeni ngoba ekulahlekelweni kwabo bayayibethela futhi esiphambanweni iNdodana kaNkulunkulu beyethesa ihlazo phambi kwabantu bonke.
7 For the earth, having drunk in the rain coming on it many times, and is bringing forth herbs fit for those because of whom it is also dressed, partakes of blessing from God,
Umhlabathi onatha izulu elihlezi lisina phezu kwawo loveza isilimo esilusizo kulabo abawulimayo uthola isibusiso sikaNkulunkulu.
8 but that which is bearing thorns and briers [is] disapproved of, and near to cursing, whose end [is] for burning;
Kodwa umhlabathi oveza ameva lokhula kawulasizo njalo usengozini yokuqalekiswa. Ekucineni uzatshiswa.
9 but we are persuaded, concerning you, beloved, the things that are better, and accompanying salvation, though even thus we speak,
Kodwa lanxa sikhuluma kanje bazalwane abathandekayo, silethemba lezinto ezingcono ngani, izinto ezilokwenza lokusindiswa.
10 for God is not unrighteous to forget your work, and the labor of love that you showed to His Name, having ministered to the holy ones and ministering;
UNkulunkulu ulungile, kasoke awukhohlwe umsebenzi wenu lothando elamtshengisa lona njengoba lasiza abantu bakhe njalo liyaqhubeka libasiza.
11 and we desire each one of you to show the same diligence, to the full assurance of the hope to the end,
Sifuna omunye lomunye wenu abonakalise ukukhuthala lokhu kuze kube sekupheleni ukuze ithemba lenu liqiniseke.
12 that you may not become slothful, but followers of those who through faith and patient endurance are inheriting the promises.
Kasifuni ukuba libe ngamavila kodwa ukuba lilingisele labo okwathi ngokukholwa langokubekezela bathola ilifa lalokhu okwakuthenjisiwe.
13 For God, having made promise to Abraham, seeing He was not able to swear by [any] greater, swore by Himself,
Lapho uNkulunkulu esenza isithembiso sakhe ku-Abhrahama, njengoba wayengekho omkhulu ayengafunga ngaye, wafunga ngaye yena ngokwakhe
14 saying, “Blessing I will indeed bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you”;
esithi, “Ngempela ngizakubusisa njalo ngikuphe inzalo enengi.”
15 and so, having patiently endured, he obtained the promise;
Ngakho emva kokulinda ngokubekezela, u-Abhrahama wathola okwakuthenjisiwe.
16 for men swear by the greater, and the oath [is] for confirmation of the end of all their controversy,
Abantu bafunga ngomunye omkhulu kulabo njalo isifungo siqinisa lokho okutshiwoyo siqede lokuphikisana konke.
17 in which God, more abundantly willing to show to the heirs of the promise the immutability of His counsel, interposed by an oath,
Njengoba uNkulunkulu wathanda ukuba enze ukungaguquki kwesimo senhloso yakhe kube sobala kuzindlalifa zalokho okwathenjiswayo, wakuqinisa ngesifungo.
18 that through two immutable things, in which [it is] impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong comfort, having fled for refuge, to lay hold on the hope being set before [us],
UNkulunkulu wenza lokhu ukuze kuthi ngezinto ezimbili ezingaguqulekiyo, uNkulunkulu angeke aqambe amanga ngazo, thina esibaleke sabambelela ethembeni esiliphiwayo sikhuthazeke kakhulu.
19 which we have, as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and entering into that within the veil,
Silethemba leli njengensika yemiphefumulo yethu, eliqinileyo njalo eligxilileyo. Lingena endaweni engcwele yangaphakathi ngemva kwamakhetheni
