< Hebrews 4 >

1 We may fear, then, lest a promise being left of entering into His rest, anyone of you may seem to have come short,
Lino Lesa walatulayeti tukatambule kupumwina nkwalikwamba, twela kuba bantu bacetuka kwambeti kapatakaba muntu naba umo eshakalilwe kutambula kupumwina uko nkwalalaya.
2 for we also are having good news proclaimed, even as they, but the word heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard,
Pakwinga nenjafwe tulanyumfu Mulumbe Waina mbuli naboyo ncebalonyumfwa. Mulumbe ngobalanyumfwa paliya ncewalensa, pakwinga balanyumfowa baliya kutambula mu lushomo sobwe.
3 for we enter into the rest—we who believed, as He said, “So I swore in My anger, They will [not] enter into My rest”; and yet the works were done from the foundation of the world,
Neco afwe otwashoma Lesa tulakutambulunga kupumwina nkwalatulaya. Cili mbuli mwine ncalambeti, “Ee, ndalakalala ne kulumbileti, ‘Nteti bakengile mucishi ncendalikuyanda kubapeti bakapumwinemo.’” Lesa walambeco nambi calikubeti ncito yakendi ya kulenga cishi yalikuba yapwa.
4 for He spoke in a certain place concerning the seventh [day] thus: “And God rested in the seventh day from all His works”;
Pakwinga mu Mabala napamo palembweti, “Lesa mpwalapwisha ncito yakendi yonse walapumwina pa busuba bwa busanu ne bubili.”
5 and in this [place] again, “They will [not] enter into My rest”;
Kayi pa makani opelawa Lesa walambeti, “Nteti bakengilepo mu musena wakendi wa kupumwinamo.”
6 since then, it remains for some to enter into it, and those who first heard good news did not enter in because of unbelief—
Lesa walabambeti nabambi nibakengile mu mumusena wa kupumwininamo. Nomba abo balatanguna kunyumfwa Mulumbe Waina baliya kwingilamo cebo ca kukana kushoma ncalamba Lesa.
7 again He limits a certain day, “Today,” in David saying, after so long a time, as it has been said, “Today, if you may hear His voice, you may not harden your hearts,”
Ecebo Lesa ncalabambila bushiku nabumbi ubo mbwalakungeti “Lelo”. Ebushiku mbwalikwamba Lesa kupitila muli Dafeti, mpopalapita byaka bingi mpwalamba mu Mabala awa ngotulambapo kendi alambangeti, “Na lelo munyumfwe liswi lya Lesa, kamutayumisha myoyo”
8 for if Joshua had given them rest, He would not have spoken after these things concerning another day;
Na Yoswa nalacikonsha kwingisha bantu mu kupumwina nkwalalaya Lesa, nshinga Lesa nalabula kwambapo sha busuba nabumbi.
9 there remains, then, a Sabbath rest to the people of God,
Pacebo ico, bushiku bwa kupumwina kwa bantu ba Lesa mpobucili, mbuli Lesa ncalapumwina pa busuba bwa busanu ne bubili.
10 for he who entered into His rest, he also rested from his works, as God from His own.
Pakwinga muntu lengili mukupumwina kwa Lesa ekwambeti lapumwini ku ncito shakendi mbuli Lesa ncalapumwina mpwalapwisha ncito shakendi.
11 May we be diligent, then, to enter into that rest, that no one may fall in the same example of the unbelief,
Neco katwelekeshani cangofu kukutambula kupumwina uko, kutineti kapataba muntu naba umo eshakalilwe kukutambula cebo ca kukana kushoma.
12 for the Word of God is living, and working, and sharper—beyond every two-edged sword—and piercing as far as [the] division of soul and spirit, of joints and also marrows, and a discerner of thoughts and intents of the heart;
Pakwinga Maswi a Lesa nayumi kayi akute ngofu. Alumata kupita cibeshi calumata konse konse. Akute kutimbula pakati ne kushika pekala buyumi ne mushimu, kayi ne pekala mafupa ne mikolofupa. Kayi Maswi a Lesa akute kuyubulula bintu mbyebakute kuyeya ne mbyebasuni bantu.
13 and there is not a created thing hidden before Him, but all things [are] naked and open to His eyes—with whom is our reckoning.
Paliya cintu ncela kwalilwa Lesa kucibona, ukute kubibona bilengwa byonse mbuli ncebibele pakwinga byonse bili pantangalala, ni kulyendiye nkotwela kucanika ne mulandu wa bintu mbyotwali kwinsa.
14 Having, then, a great Chief Priest having passed through the heavens—Jesus the Son of God—may we hold fast the profession,
Neco katupitilishani kwitatisha mwangofu lushomo lwetu, pakwinga tukute Shimulumbo Mukulene wapita bonse, uyo walakengila kwilu kuli Lesa. Uyu ni Yesu Mwanendi Lesa.
15 for we do not have a Chief Priest unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but [One] tempted in all things in like manner, [yet] without sin;
Shimulumbo Mukulene ngotukute nteyo wela kubula kutunyumfwila nkumbo otwalefuka sobwe. Shimulumbo wetu walasunkwa munshila shonse mbuli ncetulasunkwanga, nsombi nendi paliya bwipishi mbwalensa.
16 we may come near, then, with freedom, to the throne of grace, that we may receive kindness, and find grace—for seasonable help.
Neco katubani bashinisha kayi katuseng'enani pepi ku cipuna ca Bwami bwa Lesa uko kuli kwina moyo, nkweshakatunyumfwile nkumbo ne kutubonesha kwina moyo pa cindi ncetulayandanga lunyamfo.
