Hebrews 11
1 Now faith is [the] substance of things hoped for, [the] proof of matters not being seen,
௧விசுவாசமானது நம்பப்படுகிறவைகளின் உறுதியும், காணப்படாதவைகளின் நிச்சயமுமாக இருக்கிறது.
2 for by this, the elders were well-attested.
௨அதினாலே முன்னோர்கள் நற்சாட்சி பெற்றார்கள்.
3 By faith we understand the ages to have been prepared by a saying of God, in regard to the things seen having not come out of things appearing. (aiōn g165)
௩விசுவாசத்தினாலே நாம் உலகங்கள் தேவனுடைய வார்த்தையாலே உண்டாக்கப்பட்டது என்றும், இவ்விதமாக, காணப்படுகிறவைகள் காணப்படுகிறவைகளால் உண்டாகவில்லை என்றும் அறிந்திருக்கிறோம். (aiōn g165)
4 By faith Abel offered a better sacrifice to God than Cain, through which he was testified to be righteous, God testifying of his gifts, and through it, he being dead, yet speaks.
௪விசுவாசத்தினாலே ஆபேல் காயீனுடைய பலியைவிட மேன்மையான பலியை தேவனுக்குச் செலுத்தினான்; அதினாலே அவன் நீதிமான் என்று சாட்சிபெற்றான்; அவனுடைய காணிக்கைகளைப்பற்றி தேவனே சாட்சிகொடுத்தார்; அவன் மரித்தும் இன்னும் பேசுகிறான்.
5 By faith Enoch was translated—not to see death, and was not found, because God translated him; for before his translation he had been testified to—that he had pleased God well,
௫விசுவாசத்தினாலே ஏனோக்கு மரணமடையாமல் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளப்பட்டான்; தேவன் அவனை எடுத்துக்கொண்டதினால், அவன் காணப்படாமல் போனான்; அவன் தேவனுக்குப் பிரியமானவன் என்று அவன் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளப்படுவதற்கு முன்பே சாட்சிபெற்றான்.
6 and apart from faith it is impossible to please [Him], for it is required of him who is coming to God to believe that He exists and [that] He becomes a rewarder to those seeking Him.
௬விசுவாசம் இல்லாமல் தேவனுக்குப் பிரியமாக இருப்பது முடியாதகாரியம்; ஏனென்றால், தேவனிடம் சேருகிறவன் அவர் இருக்கிறார் என்றும், அவர் தம்மைத் தேடுகிறவர்களுக்குப் பலன் கொடுக்கிறவர் என்றும் விசுவாசிக்கவேண்டும்.
7 By faith Noah, having been divinely warned concerning the things not yet seen, having feared, prepared an ark to the salvation of his house, through which he condemned the world, and he became heir of the righteousness according to faith.
௭விசுவாசத்தினாலே நோவா அவனுடைய நாட்களிலே பார்க்காதவைகளைப்பற்றி தேவ எச்சரிப்பைப் பெற்று, பயபக்தியுள்ளவனாக, தன் குடும்பத்தை இரட்சிப்பதற்குக் கப்பலை உண்டாக்கினான்; அதினாலே அவன் உலகம் தண்டனைக்குரியது என்று முடிவுசெய்து, விசுவாசத்தினால் உண்டாகும் நீதிக்கு வாரிசானான்.
8 By faith Abraham, being called, obeyed, to go forth into the place that he was about to receive for an inheritance, and he went forth, not knowing to where he goes.
௮விசுவாசத்தினாலே ஆபிரகாம் தான் உரிமைப்பங்காகப் பெறப்போகிற இடத்திற்குப் போக அழைக்கப்பட்டபோது, கீழ்ப்படிந்து, தான் போகும் இடம் எதுவென்று தெரியாமல் புறப்பட்டுப்போனான்.
9 By faith he sojourned in the land of the promise as a strange country, having dwelt in dwelling places with Isaac and Jacob, fellow-heirs of the same promise,
௯விசுவாசத்தினாலே அவன் வாக்குத்தத்தம்பண்ணப்பட்ட தேசத்திலே அந்நியனைப்போல வாழ்ந்து, அந்த வாக்குத்தத்தத்திற்கு உடன் வாரிசாகிய ஈசாக்கோடும் யாக்கோபோடும் கூடாரங்களிலே குடியிருந்தான்;
10 for he was looking for the city having the foundations, whose craftsman and constructor [is] God.
௧0ஏனென்றால், தேவனே கட்டி உண்டாக்கின அஸ்திபாரங்கள் உள்ள நகரத்திற்கு அவன் காத்திருந்தான்.
11 And by faith Sarah, herself barren, received power to conceive seed even after the time of life, seeing she judged Him who promised faithful;
௧௧விசுவாசத்தினாலே சாராளும் வாக்குத்தத்தம்பண்ணினவர் உண்மையுள்ளவர் என்று எண்ணி, கர்ப்பந்தரிக்கப் பெலன் பெற்று, வயதானவளாக இருந்தும் குழந்தைப் பெற்றாள்.
12 for this reason, also, from one—and that of one who had become dead—were begotten as the stars of the sky in multitude, and innumerable as the sand that [is] by the seashore.
௧௨எனவே, சரீரம் செத்தவன் என்று நினைக்கப்படும் ஒருவனாலே, வானத்தில் உள்ள அதிகமான நட்சத்திரங்களைப்போலவும் கடற்கரையில் உள்ள எண்ணமுடியாத மணலைப்போலவும் அதிக மக்கள் பிறந்தார்கள்.
13 All these died in faith, having not received the promises, but having seen them from afar, and having been persuaded, and having greeted [them], and having confessed that they are strangers and sojourners on the earth,
௧௩இவர்கள் எல்லோரும், வாக்குத்தத்தம்பண்ணப்பட்டவைகளைப் பெறாமல், தூரத்திலே அவைகளைப் பார்த்து, நம்பி, அணைத்துக்கொண்டு, பூமியின்மேல் தங்களை அந்நியர்களும், பரதேசிகளும் என்று அறிக்கையிட்டு விசுவாசத்தோடு மரித்தார்கள்.
14 for those saying such things make apparent that they seek a country;
௧௪இப்படி அறிக்கையிடுகிறவர்கள் சொந்த தேசத்தை தேடிப்போகிறோம் என்று தெரியப்படுத்துகிறார்கள்.
15 and if, indeed, they had been mindful of that from which they came forth, they might have had an opportunity to return,
௧௫தாங்கள் விட்டுவந்த தேசத்தை நினைத்தார்கள் என்றால், அதற்குத் திரும்பிப்போவதற்கு அவர்களுக்கு நேரம் கிடைத்திருக்குமே.
16 but now they long for better, that is, heavenly, for this reason God is not ashamed of them, to be called their God, for He prepared a city for them.
௧௬அதையல்ல, அதைவிட மேன்மையான பரமதேசத்தையே விரும்பினார்கள்; ஆகவே, தேவன் அவர்களுடைய தேவன் என்று சொல்லப்பட வெட்கப்படுவது இல்லை; அவர்களுக்கு ஒரு நகரத்தை ஆயத்தம்பண்ணினாரே.
17 By faith Abraham has offered up Isaac, being tried, even the [one] having received the promises offered up his only begotten,
௧௭மேலும் விசுவாசத்தினாலே ஆபிரகாம் தான் சோதிக்கப்பட்டபோது ஈசாக்கைப் பலியாக ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தான்.
18 of whom it was said, “In Isaac will your Seed be called,”
௧௮ஈசாக்கிடம் உன் வம்சம் விளங்கும் என்று அவனிடம் சொல்லப்பட்டிருந்ததே; இப்படிப்பட்ட வாக்குத்தத்தங்களைப் பெற்றவன், மரித்தோரிலிருந்து உயிரோடு எழுப்ப தேவன் வல்லவராக இருக்கிறார் என்று நினைத்து,
19 reckoning that God is even able to raise up out of the dead, from where also in a figurative sense he received [him].
௧௯தன்னுடைய ஒரே மகனைப் பலியாக ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தான்; மரித்தோரிலிருந்து அவனை ஒப்பனையாகத் திரும்பவும் பெற்றுக்கொண்டான்.
20 By faith, concerning coming things, Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau.
௨0விசுவாசத்தினாலே ஈசாக்கு வருகின்ற காரியங்களைக்குறித்து யாக்கோபையும் ஏசாவையும் ஆசீர்வதித்தான்.
21 By faith Jacob, dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph and worshiped on the top of his staff.
௨௧விசுவாசத்தினாலே யாக்கோபு தன் மரணகாலத்தில் யோசேப்பினுடைய குமாரர்கள் இருவரையும் ஆசீர்வதித்து, தன் கோலின் முனையிலே சாய்ந்து தொழுதுகொண்டான்.
22 By faith Joseph, dying, made mention concerning the outgoing of the sons of Israel, and gave command concerning his bones.
௨௨விசுவாசத்தினாலே யோசேப்பு இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் எகிப்து தேசத்தைவிட்டுப் புறப்படுவார்கள் என்பதைப்பற்றித் தன்னுடைய கடைசிகாலத்தில் பேசி, தன் எலும்புகளைத் தங்களோடு எடுத்துக்கொண்டுபோகக் கட்டளைக் கொடுத்தான்.
23 By faith Moses, having been born, was hid three months by his parents, because they saw the child beautiful, and were not afraid of the decree of the king.
௨௩மோசே பிறந்தபோது அவனுடைய பெற்றோர் அவனை அழகான குழந்தையென்று கண்டு, விசுவாசத்தினாலே, ராஜாவினுடைய கட்டளைக்குப் பயப்படாமல் அவனை மூன்று மாதங்கள் ஒளித்து வைத்தார்கள்.
24 By faith Moses, having become great, refused to be called a son of the daughter of Pharaoh,
௨௪விசுவாசத்தினாலே மோசே தான் பெரியவனானபோது பார்வோனுடைய குமாரத்தியின் மகன் என்று சொல்லப்படுவதை வெறுத்து,
25 having chosen rather to be afflicted with the people of God, than to have sin’s pleasure for a season,
௨௫நிலையில்லாத பாவசந்தோஷங்களை அனுபவிப்பதைவிட தேவனுடைய மக்களோடு துன்பத்தை அனுபவிப்பதையே தெரிந்துகொண்டு,
26 having reckoned the reproach of the Christ greater wealth than the treasures in Egypt, for he looked to the repayment of reward.
௨௬இனிவரும் பலன்மேல் நோக்கமாக இருந்து, எகிப்தில் உள்ள பொக்கிஷங்களைவிட கிறிஸ்துவுக்காக வரும் நிந்தையை அதிக பாக்கியம் என்று நினைத்தான்.
27 By faith he left Egypt behind, having not been afraid of the wrath of the king, for as seeing the Invisible One—he endured.
௨௭விசுவாசத்தினாலே அவன் கண்ணுக்குத் தெரியாதவரைக் காண்கிறதுபோல உறுதியாக இருந்து, ராஜாவின் கோபத்திற்குப் பயப்படாமல் எகிப்தைவிட்டுப் போனான்.
28 By faith he kept the Passover, and the sprinkling of the blood, so that He who is destroying the firstborn might not touch them.
௨௮விசுவாசத்தினாலே, தலைப்பிள்ளைகளைக் கொல்லுகிறவன் இஸ்ரவேலரைத் தொடாமல் இருக்க, அவன் பஸ்காவையும் இரத்தம் பூசுதலாகிய நியமத்தையும் ஆசரித்தான்.
29 By faith they passed through the Red Sea as through dry land, which having made an attempt [to cross], the Egyptians were swallowed up.
௨௯விசுவாசத்தினாலே அவர்கள் செங்கடலை உலர்ந்த தரையைக் கடந்துபோவதைப்போலக் கடந்துபோனார்கள்; எகிப்தியரும் அப்படிக்கடந்துபோகத் துணிந்து மூழ்கிப்போனார்கள்.
30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell, having been surrounded for seven days.
௩0விசுவாசத்தினாலே எரிகோ பட்டணத்தின் மதில்கள் ஏழுநாட்கள் சுற்றிவரப்பட்டு விழுந்தது.
31 By faith Rahab the prostitute did not perish with those who disbelieved, having received the spies with peace.
௩௧விசுவாசத்தினாலே ராகாப் என்னும் வேசி வேவுகாரர்களைச் சமாதானத்தோடு ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு, கீழ்ப்படியாதவர்களோடு சேர்ந்து அழிந்துபோகாமல் இருந்தாள்.
32 And what yet will I say? For the time will fail me recounting about Gideon, also Barak, and Samson, and Jephthah, also David, and Samuel, and the prophets,
௩௨பின்னும் நான் என்ன சொல்லுவேன்? கிதியோன், பாராக், சிம்சோன், யெப்தா, தாவீது, சாமுவேல் என்பவர்களையும், தீர்க்கதரிசிகளையும்குறித்து நான் விபரம் சொல்லவேண்டுமென்றால் காலம்போதாது.
33 who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped mouths of lions,
௩௩விசுவாசத்தினாலே அவர்கள் ராஜ்யங்களை ஜெயித்தார்கள், நீதியை நடப்பித்தார்கள், வாக்குத்தத்தங்களைப் பெற்றார்கள், சிங்கங்களின் வாய்களை அடைத்தார்கள்,
34 quenched the power of fire, escaped the mouth of the sword, were made powerful out of weakness, became strong in battle, caused armies of the foreigners to give way;
௩௪அக்கினியின் கோபத்தை அணைத்தார்கள், பட்டயக்கருக்குக்குத் தப்பினார்கள், பலவீனத்தில் பலன் கொண்டார்கள்; யுத்தத்தில் வல்லவர்களானார்கள், அந்நியர்களுடைய படைகளை முறியடித்தார்கள்.
35 women received their dead by a resurrection, and others were tortured, not accepting the redemption, that they might receive a better resurrection,
௩௫பெண்கள் சாகக்கொடுத்த தங்களுடையவர்களை உயிரோடு எழுந்திருக்கப் பெற்றார்கள்; வேறுசிலர் மேன்மையான உயிர்த்தெழுதலை அடைவதற்கு, விடுதலைபெறச் சம்மதிக்காமல், வாதிக்கப்பட்டார்கள்;
36 and others received trial of mockings and scourgings, and yet of bonds and imprisonment;
௩௬வேறுசிலர் நிந்தைகளையும், அடிகளையும், கட்டுகளையும், சிறைக்காவலையும் அனுபவித்தார்கள்;
37 they were stoned, they were sawn apart, they were tried; they died in the killing of the sword; they went around in sheepskins, in goatskins—being destitute, afflicted, injuriously treated,
௩௭கல்லெறியப்பட்டார்கள், வாளால் அறுக்கப்பட்டார்கள், பரீட்சைப் பார்க்கப்பட்டார்கள், பட்டயத்தினாலே வெட்டப்பட்டு மரித்தார்கள், செம்மறியாட்டுத் தோல்களையும் வெள்ளாட்டுத் தோல்களையும் போர்த்துக்கொண்டு திரிந்து, குறைவையும், உபத்திரவத்தையும், துன்பத்தையும் அனுபவித்தார்கள்;
38 of whom the world was not worthy; wandering in deserts, and mountains, and caves, and the holes of the earth;
௩௮உலகம் அவர்களுக்குத் தகுதியாக இருக்கவில்லை; அவர்கள் வனாந்திரங்களிலும், மலைகளிலும், குகைகளிலும், பூமியின் வெடிப்புகளிலும், சிதறி அலைந்தார்கள்.
39 and all these, having been testified to through faith, did not receive the promise,
௩௯இவர்கள் எல்லோரும் விசுவாசத்தினாலே நற்சாட்சிபெற்றும், வாக்குத்தத்தம் பண்ணப்பட்டதை பெற்றுக்கொள்ளாமற்போனார்கள்.
40 God, having provided something better for us, that apart from us they might not be made perfect.
௪0நாம் இல்லாமல் அவர்கள் பூரணர்களாகாதபடி விசேஷித்த நன்மையானதை தேவன் நமக்காக முன்னதாகவே நியமித்திருந்தார்.
