Hebrews 1

1 In many parts and many ways, God, having spoken long ago to the fathers by the prophets,

לפני שנים רבות דיבר אלוהים אל אבותינו באמצעות הנביאים בדרכים שונות, וסיפר להם, שלב אחרי שלב, על תוכניותיו.

2 in these last days speaks to us in [His] Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom He also made the ages; (aiōn g165)

אך עתה, באחרית הימים, דיבר אלינו אלוהים באמצעות בנו, אשר בידו הפקיד את הכול ועל־ידו ברא את העולם ואת כל אשר בו. (aiōn g165)

3 who being the brightness of the glory, and the impress of His subsistence, bearing up also all things by the saying of His might—having made a cleansing of our sins through Himself, sat down at the right hand of the Greatness in the highest,

בן־האלוהים מקרין את זוהר כבוד האלוהים; הוא צלם תכונותיו של אלוהים, ובכוח דברו הוא נושא את העולם כולו. לאחר שהקריב את עצמו למעננו, כדי לטהר אותנו מחטאינו, עלה בן האלוהים למרומים וישב לימין האלוהים.

4 having become so much better than the messengers, as He inherited a more excellent name than them.

בזאת הוכיח שהוא בעל חשיבות גדולה מכל המלאכים, ואלוהים אישר עובדה זאת כשהעניק לו את השם:”בן־אלוהים“– שם שלא הוענק לאף מלאך!

5 For to which of the messengers did He ever say, “You are My Son—today I have begotten You?” And again, “I will be to Him for a Father, and He will be to Me for a Son?”

לאיזה מלאך אמר אלוהים אי־פעם:”בני אתה, אני היום ילדתיך“?, או”אני אהיה לו לאב והוא יהיה לי לבן“?

6 And when again He may bring the firstborn into the world, He says, “And let them worship Him—all messengers of God”;

כשהציג אלוהים לפני העולם את בנו בכורו, את ישוע המשיח, אמר:”השתחוו לו כל־מלאכי אלוהים“.

7 and to the messengers, indeed, He says, “The [One] who is making His messengers spirits, and His ministers a flame of fire”;

ועל המלאכים אלוהים אומר:”עושה מלאכיו רוחות, משרתיו אש לוהט“.

8 but to the Son: “Your throne, O God, [is] throughout the age of the age; The scepter of righteousness [is the] scepter of Your kingdom; (aiōn g165)

אך לבנו הוא אומר:”כסאך, אלוהים, עולם ועד, שבט מישר שבט מלכותך. (aiōn g165)

9 You loved righteousness, and hated lawlessness; Because of this He anointed You—God, Your God—With oil of gladness above Your partners”;

אהבת צדק ותשנא רשע, על כן משחך אלהים אלהיך שמן ששון מחבריך“.

10 and, “You, LORD, founded the earth at the beginning, And the heavens are a work of Your hands.

גם במקום אחר אנו מוצאים רמז לעליונותו של הבן:”אתה, אדוני, לפנים הארץ יסדת, ומעשה ידיך שמים.

11 These will perish, but You remain, And all will become old as a garment,

המה יאבדו, ואתה תעמד; וכולם כבגד יבלו.

12 And You will roll them together as a mantle, and they will be changed, But You are the same, and Your years will not fail.”

כלבוש תחליפם, ויחלפו. ואתה הוא ושנותיך לא יתמו“.

13 And to which of the messengers did He ever say, “Sit at My right hand, Until I may make Your enemies Your footstool?”

האם אמר אלוהים אי־פעם לאחד המלאכים את אשר אמר לבנו:”שב לימיני עד אשית ‎ א‎וֹיְבֶיךָ הֲד‎וֹם לרגליך“?

14 Are they not all spirits of service—being sent forth for ministry because of those about to inherit salvation?

לא! כי המלאכים הם רק רוחות שרת, אשר נשלחו לעזור ולהשגיח על העתידים להיוושע.
