Genesis 7
1 And YHWH says to Noah, “Come, you and all your house, into the Ark, for I have seen you [are] righteous before Me in this generation;
Et l'Éternel dit à Noé: Entre dans l'arche, toi et toute ta maison; car je t'ai vu juste devant moi dans cette génération.
2 you take seven pairs from all the clean beasts to yourself, a male and its female; and of the beasts which are not clean—two, a male and its female;
De tous les animaux purs tu en prendras par groupes de sept, un mâle et sa femelle; et des animaux qui ne sont pas purs, par paire, un mâle et sa femelle;
3 also, seven pairs from [each] bird of the heavens, a male and a female, to keep alive seed on the face of all the earth;
et des oiseaux des deux aussi par groupes de sept, mâle et femelle, afin de faire revivre la race sur la face de toute la terre.
4 for after seven more days I am sending rain on the earth [for] forty days and forty nights, and have wiped away all the substance that I have made from off the face of the ground.”
Car encore sept jours, et je ferai pleuvoir sur la terre quarante jours et quarante nuits et j'exterminerai tous les êtres que j'ai faits, de la face de la terre.
5 And Noah does according to all that YHWH has commanded him.
Et Noé exécuta tous les ordres que l'Éternel lui donna.
6 And Noah [is] a son of six hundred years, and the flood of waters has been on the earth.
Or Noé était âgé de six cents ans, quand le déluge d'eaux fut sur la terre.
7 And Noah goes—and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him—into the Ark, out of the presence of the waters of the flood;
Alors Noé et ses fils et sa femme et les femmes de ses fils avec lui entrèrent dans l'arche en face des eaux du déluge.
8 from the clean beast, and from the beast that [is] not clean, and from the bird, and of everything that is creeping on the ground,
Des animaux purs et des animaux qui ne sont pas purs, et des oiseaux et de tout ce qui se meut sur la terre,
9 they have come to Noah two by two into the Ark, a male and a female, as God has commanded Noah.
il entra paire par paire auprès de Noé dans l'arche, un mâle et une femelle conformément à l'ordre que Dieu avait donné à Noé.
10 And it comes to pass, after seven days, that waters of the flood have been on the earth.
Et sept jours après les eaux du déluge couvraient la terre.
11 In the six hundredth year of the life of Noah, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on this day all [the] fountains of the great deep have been broken up, and the network of the heavens has been opened,
La six centième année de la vie de Noé, le second mois, le dix-septième jour du mois, en ce jour-là toutes les sources du grand abîme firent éruption, et les écluses des cieux s'ouvrirent,
12 and the shower is on the earth [for] forty days and forty nights.
et il y eut pluie sur la terre quarante jours et quarante nuits.
13 On this very same day Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, went into the Ark—
Ce jour-là même Noé et Sem et Cham et Japheth, fils de Noé, et la femme de Noé, et les trois femmes de ses fils avec eux entrèrent dans l'arche,
14 they, and every living creature after its kind, and every beast after its kind, and every creeping thing that is creeping on the earth after its kind, and every bird after its kind (every bird, every wing).
eux et tous les animaux selon leurs espèces, et tous les bestiaux selon leurs espèces, et tous les reptiles qui rampent sur la terre selon leurs espèces, et tous les volatiles selon leurs espèces, tout oiseau, tout ce qui est ailé.
15 And they come to Noah, into the Ark, two by two of all the flesh in which [is] a living spirit;
Et de toute chair ayant esprit de vie il en vint paire par paire auprès de Noé dans l'arche,
16 and they that are coming in, male and female of all flesh, have come in as God has commanded him, and YHWH closes [it] for him.
et ceux qui entraient étaient mâle et femelle de toute chair selon l'ordre que Dieu lui avait donné, et l'Éternel ferma sur lui.
17 And the flood is on the earth [for] forty days, and the waters multiply and lift up the Ark, and it is raised up from off the earth;
Et le déluge se forma pendant quarante jours et quarante nuits, et les eaux crûrent et soulevèrent l'arche qui se trouva élevée au-dessus de la terre.
18 and the waters are mighty and multiply exceedingly on the earth; and the Ark goes on the face of the waters.
Et les eaux devinrent très grosses et très grandes sur la terre, et l'arche voguait à la surface des eaux.
19 And the waters have been very, very mighty on the earth, and all the high mountains are covered which [are] under the whole heavens;
Et les eaux grossirent de plus en plus sur la terre et recouvrirent toutes les hautes montagnes qui sont sous le ciel entier.
20 the waters prevailed from above the mountains, and cover [them] fifteen cubits;
Jusqu'à quinze coudées au-dessus les eaux montèrent et les montagnes furent couvertes.
21 and all flesh expires that is moving on the earth, among bird, and among livestock, and among beast, and among every teeming thing which is teeming on the earth, and all mankind;
Alors périt toute chair, tout ce qui se meut sur la terre en oiseaux, en bétail et en animaux et en reptiles rampant sur la terre et tous les hommes;
22 all in whose nostrils [is] breath of a living spirit—of all that [is] in the dry land—have died.
tout ce qui avait dans ses narine un souffle d'esprit de vie, tout ce qui était sur la terre sèche, mourut.
23 And all the substance that is on the face of the ground is wiped away—from man to beast, to creeping thing, and to bird of the heavens; indeed, they are wiped away from the earth, and only Noah is left, and those who [are] with him in the Ark;
Et ainsi furent détruits tous les êtres qui étaient sur la face de la terre, de l'homme aux animaux, aux reptiles et aux oiseaux des cieux; et ils furent exterminés de la terre. Et il ne survécut que Noé et ce qui était avec lui dans l'arche.
24 and the waters are mighty on the earth [for] one hundred and fifty days.
Et la hauteur des eaux se maintint sur la terre pendant cent cinquante jours.
