Genesis 5
1 This [is] an account of the generations of Adam. In the day of God’s creating man, in the likeness of God He has made him;

2 a male and a female He has created them, and He blesses them, and calls their name Man, in the day of their being created.

3 And Adam lives one hundred and thirty years [[or two hundred and thirty years]], and begets [a son] in his likeness, according to his image, and calls his name Seth.

4 And the days of Adam after his begetting Seth are eight hundred years [[or seven hundred years]], and he begets sons and daughters.
Seezi bwe yamala okuzaalibwa, Adamu n’amala emyaka lunaana, n’azaaliramu abaana aboobulenzi n’aboobuwala.
5 And all the days of Adam which he lived are nine hundred and thirty years, and he dies.

6 And Seth lives one hundred and five years [[or two hundred and five years]], and begets Enos.
Seezi bwe yaweza emyaka kikumi mu etaano n’azaala Enosi.
7 And Seth lives after his begetting Enos eight hundred and seven years [[or seven hundred and seven years]], and begets sons and daughters.
Seezi bwe yamala okuzaala Enosi n’awangaala emyaka emirala lunaana mu musanvu n’azaaliramu abaana aboobulenzi n’aboobuwala.
8 And all the days of Seth are nine hundred and twelve years, and he dies.
Bwe gityo emyaka gyonna egya Seezi ne giba lwenda mu kkumi n’ebiri n’alyoka afa.
9 And Enos lives ninety years [[or one hundred and ninety years]], and begets Cainan.
Enosi bwe yaweza emyaka kyenda n’azaala Kenani.
10 And Enos lives after his begetting Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years [[or seven hundred and fifteen years]], and begets sons and daughters.
Enosi bwe yamala okuzaala Kenani n’awangaala emyaka emirala lunaana mu kkumi n’etaano, omwo n’azaaliramu abaana aboobulenzi n’aboobuwala.
11 And all the days of Enos are nine hundred and five years, and he dies.

12 And Cainan lives seventy years [[or one hundred and seventy years]], and begets Mahalaleel.
Kenani bwe yaweza emyaka nsanvu n’azaala Makalaleri.
13 And Cainan lives after his begetting Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years [[or seven hundred and forty years]], and begets sons and daughters.
Kenani n’awangaala emyaka emirala lunaana mu ana, n’azaaliramu abaana aboobulenzi n’aboobuwala.
14 And all the days of Cainan are nine hundred and ten years, and he dies.
Emyaka gyonna Kenani gye yamala ne giba lwenda mu kkumi.
15 And Mahalaleel lives sixty-five years [[or one hundred and sixty-five years]], and begets Jared.
Makalaleri bwe yaweza emyaka nkaaga mu etaano n’azaala Yaredi.
16 And Mahalaleel lives after his begetting Jared eight hundred and thirty years [[or seven hundred and thirty years]], and begets sons and daughters.
Bwe yamala okuzaala Yaredi n’awangaala emyaka emirala lunaana mu asatu n’azaaliramu abaana abalala aboobulenzi n’aboobuwala.
17 And all the days of Mahalaleel are eight hundred and ninety-five years, and he dies.

18 And Jared lives one hundred and sixty-two years, and begets Enoch.

19 And Jared lives after his begetting Enoch eight hundred years, and begets sons and daughters.

20 And all the days of Jared are nine hundred and sixty-two years, and he dies.

21 And Enoch lives sixty-five years [[or one hundred and sixty-five years]], and begets Methuselah.
Enoka bwe yaweza emyaka nkaaga mu etaano n’azaala Mesuseera.
22 And Enoch habitually walks with God after his begetting Methuselah three hundred years [[or two hundred years]], and begets sons and daughters.
Enoka n’atambulira wamu ne Katonda, okumala emyaka ebikumi bisatu nga Mesuseera amaze okuzaalibwa, n’azaala abaana abalala aboobulenzi n’aboobuwala.
23 And all the days of Enoch are three hundred and sixty-five years.

24 And Enoch habitually walks with God, and he is not, for God has taken him.
Enoka yatambula ne Katonda, n’ataddamu kulabika, kubanga Katonda yamutwala.
25 And Methuselah lives one hundred and eighty-seven years, and begets Lamech.
Mesuseera bwe yali nga yaakamala emyaka kikumi mu kinaana mu musanvu n’azaala Lameka.
26 And Methuselah lives after his begetting Lamech seven hundred and eighty-two years, and begets sons and daughters.
Bwe yamala okuzaala Lameka n’awangaala emyaka emirala lusanvu mu kinaana mu ebiri, n’azaala abaana abalala aboobulenzi n’aboobuwala.
27 And all the days of Methuselah are nine hundred and sixty-nine years, and he dies.
Bwe gityo emyaka gyonna Mesuseera gye yamala ne giba lwenda mu nkaaga mu mwenda; n’afa.
28 And Lamech lives one hundred and eighty-two years [[or one hundred and eighty-eight years]], and begets a son,
Lameka bwe yali nga wa myaka kikumi mu kinaana mu ebiri n’azaala omwana owoobulenzi
29 and calls his name Noah, saying, “This [one] comforts us concerning our work, and concerning the labor of our hands, because of the ground which YHWH has cursed.”
n’amutuuma Nuuwa, ng’agamba nti, “Okuva mu ttaka Mukama lye yakolimira, ono yalituweezaweeza mu mulimu gwaffe, ne mu kutegana kw’emikono gyaffe.”
30 And Lamech lives after his begetting Noah five hundred and ninety-five years [[or five hundred and sixty-five years]], and begets sons and daughters.
Lameka n’awangaala emyaka emirala bitaano mu kyenda mu etaano ng’amaze okuzaala Nuuwa, mu gyo n’azaaliramu abaana abalala aboobulenzi n’aboobuwala.
31 And all the days of Lamech are seven hundred and seventy-seven years [[or seven hundred and fifty-three years]], and he dies.
Bwe gityo emyaka gyonna Lameka gye yawangaala ne giba lusanvu mu nsanvu mu musanvu.
32 And Noah is a son of five hundred years, and Noah begets Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
Nuuwa bwe yaweza emyaka ebikumi bitaano n’azaala Seemu, ne Kaamu ne Yafeesi.
