< Genesis 5 >

1 This [is] an account of the generations of Adam. In the day of God’s creating man, in the likeness of God He has made him;
Hic est liber generationis Adam. In die, qua creavit Deus hominem, ad similitudinem Dei fecit illum.
2 a male and a female He has created them, and He blesses them, and calls their name Man, in the day of their being created.
Masculum et feminam creavit eos, et benedixit illis: et vocavit nomen eorum Adam, in die quo creati sunt.
3 And Adam lives one hundred and thirty years [[or two hundred and thirty years]], and begets [a son] in his likeness, according to his image, and calls his name Seth.
Vixit autem Adam centum triginta annis: et genuit ad imaginem et similitudinem suam, vocavitque nomen eius Seth.
4 And the days of Adam after his begetting Seth are eight hundred years [[or seven hundred years]], and he begets sons and daughters.
Et facti sunt dies Adam, postquam genuit Seth, octingenti anni: genuitque filios et filias.
5 And all the days of Adam which he lived are nine hundred and thirty years, and he dies.
Et factum est omne tempus quod vixit Adam, anni nongenti triginta, et mortuus est.
6 And Seth lives one hundred and five years [[or two hundred and five years]], and begets Enos.
Vixit quoque Seth centum quinque annis, et genuit Enos.
7 And Seth lives after his begetting Enos eight hundred and seven years [[or seven hundred and seven years]], and begets sons and daughters.
Vixitque Seth postquam genuit Enos, octingentis septem annis, genuitque filios et filias.
8 And all the days of Seth are nine hundred and twelve years, and he dies.
Et facti sunt omnes dies Seth nongentorum duodecim annorum, et mortuus est.
9 And Enos lives ninety years [[or one hundred and ninety years]], and begets Cainan.
Vixit vero Enos nonaginta annis, et genuit Cainan.
10 And Enos lives after his begetting Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years [[or seven hundred and fifteen years]], and begets sons and daughters.
Post cuius ortum vixit octingentis quindecim annis, et genuit filios, et filias.
11 And all the days of Enos are nine hundred and five years, and he dies.
Factique sunt omnes dies Enos nongenti quinque anni, et mortuus est.
12 And Cainan lives seventy years [[or one hundred and seventy years]], and begets Mahalaleel.
Vixit quoque Cainan septuaginta annis, et genuit Malaleel.
13 And Cainan lives after his begetting Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years [[or seven hundred and forty years]], and begets sons and daughters.
Et vixit Cainan, postquam genuit Malaleel, octingentis quadraginta annis, genuitque filios et filias.
14 And all the days of Cainan are nine hundred and ten years, and he dies.
Et facti sunt omnes dies Cainan nongenti decem anni, et mortuus est.
15 And Mahalaleel lives sixty-five years [[or one hundred and sixty-five years]], and begets Jared.
Vixit autem Malaleel sexaginta quinque annis, et genuit Iared.
16 And Mahalaleel lives after his begetting Jared eight hundred and thirty years [[or seven hundred and thirty years]], and begets sons and daughters.
Et vixit Malaleel postquam genuit Iared, octingentis triginta annis: et genuit filios et filias.
17 And all the days of Mahalaleel are eight hundred and ninety-five years, and he dies.
Et facti sunt omnes dies Malaleel octingenti nonaginta quinque anni, et mortuus est.
18 And Jared lives one hundred and sixty-two years, and begets Enoch.
Vixitque Iared centum sexaginta duobus annis, et genuit Henoch.
19 And Jared lives after his begetting Enoch eight hundred years, and begets sons and daughters.
Et vixit Iared, postquam genuit Henoch, octingentis annis, et genuit filios et filias.
20 And all the days of Jared are nine hundred and sixty-two years, and he dies.
Et facti sunt omnes dies Iared nongenti sexaginta duo anni, et mortuus est.
21 And Enoch lives sixty-five years [[or one hundred and sixty-five years]], and begets Methuselah.
Porro Henoch vixit sexaginta quinque annis, et genuit Mathusalam.
22 And Enoch habitually walks with God after his begetting Methuselah three hundred years [[or two hundred years]], and begets sons and daughters.
Et ambulavit Henoch cum Deo: et vixit, postquam genuit Mathusalam, trecentis annis, et genuit filios et filias.
23 And all the days of Enoch are three hundred and sixty-five years.
Et facti sunt omnes dies Henoch trecenti sexaginta quinque anni.
24 And Enoch habitually walks with God, and he is not, for God has taken him.
Ambulavitque cum Deo, et non apparuit: quia tulit eum Deus.
25 And Methuselah lives one hundred and eighty-seven years, and begets Lamech.
Vixit quoque Mathusala centum octoginta septem annis, et genuit Lamech.
26 And Methuselah lives after his begetting Lamech seven hundred and eighty-two years, and begets sons and daughters.
Et vixit Mathusala, postquam genuit Lamech, septingentis octoginta duobus annis, et genuit filios et filias.
27 And all the days of Methuselah are nine hundred and sixty-nine years, and he dies.
Et facti sunt omnes dies Mathusala nongenti sexaginta novem anni, et mortuus est.
28 And Lamech lives one hundred and eighty-two years [[or one hundred and eighty-eight years]], and begets a son,
Vixit autem Lamech centum octoginta duobus annis, et genuit filium:
29 and calls his name Noah, saying, “This [one] comforts us concerning our work, and concerning the labor of our hands, because of the ground which YHWH has cursed.”
vocavitque nomen eius Noe, dicens: Iste consolabitur nos ab operibus et laboribus manuum nostrarum in terra, cui maledixit Dominus.
30 And Lamech lives after his begetting Noah five hundred and ninety-five years [[or five hundred and sixty-five years]], and begets sons and daughters.
Vixitque Lamech, postquam genuit Noe, quingentis nonaginta quinque annis, et genuit filios et filias.
31 And all the days of Lamech are seven hundred and seventy-seven years [[or seven hundred and fifty-three years]], and he dies.
Et facti sunt omnes dies Lamech, septingenti septuaginta septem anni, et mortuus est.
32 And Noah is a son of five hundred years, and Noah begets Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
Noe vero cum quingentorum esset annorum, genuit Sem, Cham, et Iapheth.
