Genesis 46
1 And Israel journeys, and all that he has, and comes to Beer-Sheba, and sacrifices sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac;
Israel se puso en marcha con todo lo que tenía, y llegó a Bersabee, donde ofreció sacrificios al Dios de su padre Isaac.
2 and God speaks to Israel in visions of the night and says, “Jacob, Jacob”; and he says, “Here I [am].”
Y habló Dios a Israel en visión nocturna y le dijo: ¡Jacob, Jacob!” Él respondió: “Heme aquí.”
3 And He says, “I [am] God, God of your father, do not be afraid of going down to Egypt, for I set you there for a great nation;
Y dijo: “Yo soy Dios, el Dios de tu padre; no temas bajar a Egipto, porque allí te haré padre de una gran nación.
4 I go down with you to Egypt, and I also certainly bring you up, and Joseph puts his hand on your eyes.”
Yo bajaré contigo a Egipto; y Yo te subiré también; y José pondrá su mano sobre tus ojos.”
5 And Jacob rises from Beer-Sheba, and the sons of Israel carry away their father Jacob, and their infants, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh has sent to carry him,
Luego partió Jacob de Bersabee, y los hijos de Israel pusieron a Jacob su padre, y a sus niños y a sus mujeres, en los carros que el Faraón había enviado para transportarlo.
6 and they take their livestock, and their goods which they have acquired in the land of Canaan, and come into Egypt—Jacob, and all his seed with him,
Lleváronse también sus ganados y la hacienda que habían adquirido en el país de Canaán, y fueron a Egipto: Jacob y con él toda sus descendencia.
7 his sons, and his sons’ sons with him, his daughters, and his sons’ daughters, indeed, all his seed he brought with him into Egypt.
Llevó consigo a Egipto a sus hijos y a los hijos de sus hijos, a sus hijas y a las hijas de sus hijos y a toda su familia.
8 And these [are] the names of the sons of Israel who are coming into Egypt: Jacob and his sons, Jacob’s firstborn, Reuben.
Estos son los nombres de los hijos de Israel que llegaron a Egipto: Jacob y sus hijos: el primogénito de Jacob: Rubén.
9 And sons of Reuben: Enoch, and Phallu, and Hezron, and Carmi.
Y los hijos de Rubén: Enoc, Falú, Hesrón, Carmí.
10 And sons of Simeon: Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul son of the Canaanite.
Los hijos de Simeón: Jemuel, Jamín, Ohad, Jaquín, Sóhar y Saúl, hijo de la cananea.
11 And sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
Los hijos de Leví: Gersón, Caat y Merarí.
12 And sons of Judah: Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Perez, and Zerah (and Er and Onan die in the land of Canaan). And sons of Perez are Hezron and Hamul.
Los hijos de Judá: Er, Onán, Selá, Fares y Zara; pero habían muerto ya Er y Onán en el país de Canaán. Hijos de Fares: Hesrón y Hamul.
13 And sons of Issachar: Tola, and Phuvah, and Job, and Shimron.
Los hijos de Isacar: Tolá, Fuá, Job y Simrón.
14 And sons of Zebulun: Sered, and Elon, and Jahleel.
Los hijos de Zabulón: Séred, Elón y Jahleel.
15 These [are] sons of Leah whom she bore to Jacob in Padan-Aram, and his daughter Dinah; all the persons of his sons and his daughters [are] thirty-three.
Estos son los hijos que Lía dio a Jacob en Mesopotamia, con Diná, su hija. Todas las almas de sus hijos y de sus hijas fueron treinta y tres.
16 And sons of Gad: Ziphion, and Haggi, Shuni, and Ezbon, Eri, and Arodi, and Areli.
Los hijos de Gad: Sifión, Haguí, Suní, Esbón, Erí, Arodí y Arelí.
17 And sons of Asher: Jimnah, and Ishuah, and Isui, and Beriah, and their sister Serah. And sons of Beriah: Heber and Malchiel.
Los hijos de Aser: Jimná, Isuá, Isuí, Beriá y Sera, hermana de ellos. Hijos de Beriá: Héber y Malquiel.
18 These [are] sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to his daughter Leah, and she bears these to Jacob—sixteen persons.
Estos son los hijos de Silfá, la cual Labán dio a su hija Lía, y ella dio estos a Jacob: diez y seis almas.
19 Sons of Rachel, Jacob’s wife: Joseph and Benjamin.
Los hijos de Raquel, mujer de Jacob: José y Benjamín.
20 And born to Joseph in the land of Egypt (whom Asenath daughter of Poti-Pherah, priest of On, has borne to him) [are] Manasseh and Ephraim.
Nacieron a José en tierra de Egipto Manasés y Efraím, de Asenat, hija de Putifar, sacerdote de On.
21 And sons of Benjamin: Belah, and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Naaman, Ehi, and Rosh, Muppim, and Huppim, and Ard.
Los hijos de Benjamín: Bela, Béquer, Asbel, Gerá, Naamán, Ehí, Ros, Mupim, Hupim y Ard.
22 These [are] sons of Rachel, who were born to Jacob; all the persons [are] fourteen.
Estos son los hijos de Raquel, que nacieron de Jacob. En total catorce almas.
23 And sons of Dan: Hushim.
Los hijos de Dan: Husim.
24 And sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shillem.
Los hijos de Neftalí: Jahzeel, Guní, Jéser y Silem.
25 These [are] sons of Bilhah, whom Laban gave to his daughter Rachel; and she bears these to Jacob—all the persons [are] seven.
Estos son los hijos de Bilhá, la cual Labán dio a su hija Raquel; y de ella nacieron estos a Jacob, en total siete almas.
26 All the persons who are coming to Jacob to Egypt, coming out of his thigh, apart from the wives of Jacob’s sons, all the persons [are] sixty-six.
Toda la familia de Jacob, que vino a Egipto, descendientes suyos sin contar las mujeres de los hijos de Jacob, todas estas almas eran sesenta y seis.
27 And the sons of Joseph who have been born to him in Egypt [are] two persons. All the persons of the house of Jacob who are coming into Egypt [are] seventy.
Los hijos de José, que le habían nacido en Egipto, eran dos. Todas las almas de la casa de Jacob, que vinieron a Egipto, eran setenta.
28 And Judah he has sent before him to Joseph, to direct before him to Goshen, and they come into the land of Goshen;
Envió (Jacob) a Judá delante suyo adonde estaba José para que este preparara su llegada a Gosen; y así llegaron a la tierra de Gosen.
29 and Joseph harnesses his chariot, and goes up to meet his father Israel, to Goshen, and appears to him, and falls on his neck, and weeps on his neck again;
Entretanto, José había enganchado su carroza y subido a recibir a Israel, su padre, en Gosen; y cuando lo vio se arrojó a su cuello y lloró largo tiempo sobre su cuello.
30 and Israel says to Joseph, “Let me die this time, after my seeing your face, for you [are] yet alive.”
Y dijo Israel a José: “Ahora puedo morir, ya que he visto tu rostro, pues tú vives todavía.”
31 And Joseph says to his brothers, and to the house of his father, “I go up, and declare to Pharaoh, and say to him, My brothers, and the house of my father who [are] in the land of Canaan have come to me;
Y dijo José a sus hermanos y a la casa de su padre: “Iré a dar parte al Faraón, diciendo: Han venido a mí mis hermanos y la casa de mi padre, que estaban en el país de Canaán.
32 and the men [are] feeders of a flock, for they have been men of livestock; and their flock, and their herd, and all that they have, they have brought.
Son pastores de ovejas, pues poseen rebaños, y han traído sus ovejas y sus ganados y todo lo que tienen.
33 And it has come to pass, when Pharaoh calls for you and has said, What [are] your works?
Y cuando el Faraón os llamare y preguntare: ¿Cuál es vuestra ocupación?
34 That you have said, Your servants have been men of livestock from our youth, even until now, both we and our fathers, in order that you may dwell in the land of Goshen, for the abomination of the Egyptians is everyone feeding a flock.”
responderéis: Criadores de ganado han sido tus siervos desde nuestra infancia hasta ahora, tanto nosotros como nuestros padres. Así podréis habitar en la tierra de Gosen; porque los egipcios detestan a todo pastor de ovejas.”
