Genesis 46
1 And Israel journeys, and all that he has, and comes to Beer-Sheba, and sacrifices sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac;
੧ਤਦ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਕੂਚ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਏਰਸ਼ਬਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਲਈ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈਆਂ।
2 and God speaks to Israel in visions of the night and says, “Jacob, Jacob”; and he says, “Here I [am].”
੨ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦਰਸ਼ਣ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਯਾਕੂਬ! ਯਾਕੂਬ! ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਹਾਂ।
3 And He says, “I [am] God, God of your father, do not be afraid of going down to Egypt, for I set you there for a great nation;
੩ਉਸ ਆਖਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹਾਂ।
4 I go down with you to Egypt, and I also certainly bring you up, and Joseph puts his hand on your eyes.”
੪ਮਿਸਰ ਵੱਲ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਨਾ ਡਰ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਕੌਮ ਬਣਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਚ-ਮੁੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਫੇਰ ਲੈ ਆਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਬੰਦ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
5 And Jacob rises from Beer-Sheba, and the sons of Israel carry away their father Jacob, and their infants, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh has sent to carry him,
੫ਯਾਕੂਬ ਬਏਰਸ਼ਬਾ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਠਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਛੋਟੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਪਤਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੱਡਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੈ ਚੱਲੇ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਭੇਜੇ ਸਨ।
6 and they take their livestock, and their goods which they have acquired in the land of Canaan, and come into Egypt—Jacob, and all his seed with him,
੬ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਸ਼ੂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਸਮਾਨ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਮਾਇਆ ਸੀ, ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਵੰਸ਼ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਇਆ
7 his sons, and his sons’ sons with him, his daughters, and his sons’ daughters, indeed, all his seed he brought with him into Egypt.
੭ਅਰਥਾਤ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ-ਧੀਆਂ, ਪੋਤੇ-ਪੋਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਵੰਸ਼ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਇਆ।
8 And these [are] the names of the sons of Israel who are coming into Egypt: Jacob and his sons, Jacob’s firstborn, Reuben.
੮ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਇਹ ਹਨ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਏ: ਯਾਕੂਬ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲੌਠਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਰਊਬੇਨ।
9 And sons of Reuben: Enoch, and Phallu, and Hezron, and Carmi.
੯ਰਊਬੇਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ: ਹਨੋਕ, ਪੱਲੂ, ਹਸਰੋਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਰਮੀ।
10 And sons of Simeon: Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul son of the Canaanite.
੧੦ਸ਼ਿਮਓਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ: ਯਮੂਏਲ, ਯਾਮੀਨ, ਓਹਦ, ਯਾਕੀਨ, ਸੋਹਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਊਲ ਜੋ ਕਨਾਨੀ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ।
11 And sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
੧੧ਲੇਵੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ: ਗੇਰਸ਼ੋਨ, ਕਹਾਥ ਅਤੇ ਮਰਾਰੀ।
12 And sons of Judah: Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Perez, and Zerah (and Er and Onan die in the land of Canaan). And sons of Perez are Hezron and Hamul.
੧੨ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ: ਏਰ, ਓਨਾਨ, ਸ਼ੇਲਾਹ, ਪਰਸ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਰਹ। ਪਰ ਏਰ ਅਤੇ ਓਨਾਨ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਰ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਫਰਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹਸਰੋਨ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਮੂਲ ਸਨ।
13 And sons of Issachar: Tola, and Phuvah, and Job, and Shimron.
੧੩ਯਿੱਸਾਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ: ਤੋਲਾ, ਪੁੱਵਾਹ, ਯੋਬ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਮਰੋਨ।
14 And sons of Zebulun: Sered, and Elon, and Jahleel.
੧੪ਜ਼ਬੂਲੁਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ: ਸਰਦ, ਏਲੋਨ ਅਤੇ ਯਹਲਏਲ।
15 These [are] sons of Leah whom she bore to Jacob in Padan-Aram, and his daughter Dinah; all the persons of his sons and his daughters [are] thirty-three.
੧੫ਲੇਆਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਇਹ ਸਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਧੀ ਦੀਨਾਹ ਸਮੇਤ ਪਦਨ ਅਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਧੀਆਂ ਤੇਂਤੀ ਸਨ।
16 And sons of Gad: Ziphion, and Haggi, Shuni, and Ezbon, Eri, and Arodi, and Areli.
੧੬ਗਾਦ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ: ਸਿਫਯੋਨ, ਹੱਗੀ, ਸੂਨੀ, ਅਸਬੋਨ, ਏਰੀ, ਅਰੋਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਏਲੀ ਸਨ।
17 And sons of Asher: Jimnah, and Ishuah, and Isui, and Beriah, and their sister Serah. And sons of Beriah: Heber and Malchiel.
੧੭ਆਸ਼ੇਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ: ਯਿਮਨਾਹ, ਯਿਸ਼ਵਾਹ, ਯਿਸ਼ਵੀ, ਬਰੀਆਹ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਭੈਣ। ਬਰੀਆਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੇਬਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਲਕੀਏਲ ਸਨ।
18 These [are] sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to his daughter Leah, and she bears these to Jacob—sixteen persons.
੧੮ਇਹ ਜਿਲਫਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਬਾਨ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਧੀ ਲੇਆਹ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਲਈ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੋਲ਼ਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
19 Sons of Rachel, Jacob’s wife: Joseph and Benjamin.
੧੯ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਰਾਖ਼ੇਲ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਸਨ।
20 And born to Joseph in the land of Egypt (whom Asenath daughter of Poti-Pherah, priest of On, has borne to him) [are] Manasseh and Ephraim.
੨੦ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਤੋਂ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਊਨ ਦੇ ਜਾਜਕ ਪੋਟੀ-ਫ਼ਰਾ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਆਸਨਥ ਨੇ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਅਤੇ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
21 And sons of Benjamin: Belah, and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Naaman, Ehi, and Rosh, Muppim, and Huppim, and Ard.
੨੧ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ: ਬਲਾ, ਬਕਰ, ਅਸ਼ਬੇਲ, ਗੇਰਾ, ਨਅਮਾਨ, ਏਹੀ, ਰੋਸ਼, ਮੁੱਫੀਮ, ਹੁੱਪੀਮ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਦ ਸਨ।
22 These [are] sons of Rachel, who were born to Jacob; all the persons [are] fourteen.
੨੨ਇਹ ਰਾਖ਼ੇਲ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ, ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਲਈ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਚੌਦਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਸਨ।
23 And sons of Dan: Hushim.
੨੩ਦਾਨ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੁਸ਼ੀਮ ਸੀ।
24 And sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shillem.
੨੪ਨਫ਼ਤਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ: ਯਹਸਏਲ, ਗੂਨੀ, ਯੇਸਰ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਿੱਲੇਮ ਸਨ।
25 These [are] sons of Bilhah, whom Laban gave to his daughter Rachel; and she bears these to Jacob—all the persons [are] seven.
੨੫ਇਹ ਬਿਲਹਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਬਾਨ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਧੀ ਰਾਖ਼ੇਲ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੱਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
26 All the persons who are coming to Jacob to Egypt, coming out of his thigh, apart from the wives of Jacob’s sons, all the persons [are] sixty-six.
੨੬ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦੇ ਨਿੱਜ ਵੰਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਏ, ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਛਿਆਹਠ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਸਨ।
27 And the sons of Joseph who have been born to him in Egypt [are] two persons. All the persons of the house of Jacob who are coming into Egypt [are] seventy.
੨੭ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੰਮੇ ਦੋ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਤੋਂ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਏ ਸਨ, ਸੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਸਨ।
28 And Judah he has sent before him to Joseph, to direct before him to Goshen, and they come into the land of Goshen;
੨੮ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੱਗੇ-ਅੱਗੇ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗੋਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਵਿਖਾਵੇ, ਅਤੇ ਓਹ ਗੋਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਏ।
29 and Joseph harnesses his chariot, and goes up to meet his father Israel, to Goshen, and appears to him, and falls on his neck, and weeps on his neck again;
੨੯ਤਦ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਰਥ ਜੋੜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਗੋਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗਲ਼ ਲੱਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੇਰ ਤੱਕ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗਲ਼ ਨਾਲ ਲੱਗ ਕੇ ਰੋਇਆ।
30 and Israel says to Joseph, “Let me die this time, after my seeing your face, for you [are] yet alive.”
੩੦ਫੇਰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੇ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੁਣ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਵੇਖ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਅਜੇ ਜੀਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
31 And Joseph says to his brothers, and to the house of his father, “I go up, and declare to Pharaoh, and say to him, My brothers, and the house of my father who [are] in the land of Canaan have come to me;
੩੧ਤਦ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਕੋਲ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਦੇਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਾਂਗਾ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਘਰਾਣਾ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ, ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
32 and the men [are] feeders of a flock, for they have been men of livestock; and their flock, and their herd, and all that they have, they have brought.
੩੨ਓਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਜੜੀ ਹਨ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਓਹ ਪਸ਼ੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਲਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਓਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਇੱਜੜ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਗ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਏ ਹਨ।
33 And it has come to pass, when Pharaoh calls for you and has said, What [are] your works?
੩੩ਜਦ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਏ ਅਤੇ ਪੁੱਛੇ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੀ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ?
34 That you have said, Your servants have been men of livestock from our youth, even until now, both we and our fathers, in order that you may dwell in the land of Goshen, for the abomination of the Egyptians is everyone feeding a flock.”
੩੪ਤਦ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਆਖਣਾ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦਾਸ ਜਵਾਨੀ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਪਸ਼ੂ ਪਾਲਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਅਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਓ ਦਾਦੇ ਵੀ ਤਦ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਗੋਸ਼ਨ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸ ਜਾਓਗੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮਿਸਰੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਜੜੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਘਿਰਣਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
