< Genesis 46 >
1 And Israel journeys, and all that he has, and comes to Beer-Sheba, and sacrifices sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac;
Tedy bral se Izrael se vším, což měl; a přišed do Bersabé, obětoval oběti Bohu otce svého Izáka.
2 and God speaks to Israel in visions of the night and says, “Jacob, Jacob”; and he says, “Here I [am].”
I mluvil Bůh Izraelovi u vidění nočním, řka: Jákobe, Jákobe! Kterýžto odpověděl: Aj, teď jsem.
3 And He says, “I [am] God, God of your father, do not be afraid of going down to Egypt, for I set you there for a great nation;
4 I go down with you to Egypt, and I also certainly bring you up, and Joseph puts his hand on your eyes.”
Já sstoupím s tebou do Egypta, a já tě také i zase přivedu; a Jozef položí ruku svou na oči tvé.
5 And Jacob rises from Beer-Sheba, and the sons of Israel carry away their father Jacob, and their infants, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh has sent to carry him,
6 and they take their livestock, and their goods which they have acquired in the land of Canaan, and come into Egypt—Jacob, and all his seed with him,
7 his sons, and his sons’ sons with him, his daughters, and his sons’ daughters, indeed, all his seed he brought with him into Egypt.
Syny i vnuky, dcery i vnučky své, a všecku rodinu svou uvedl s sebou do Egypta.
8 And these [are] the names of the sons of Israel who are coming into Egypt: Jacob and his sons, Jacob’s firstborn, Reuben.

Synové Asser: Jemna, Jesua, Jesui, Beria, a Serach sestra jejich. Synové pak Beriovi: Heber a Melchiel.
18 These [are] sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to his daughter Leah, and she bears these to Jacob—sixteen persons.
To jsou synové Zelfy, kterouž Lában dal Líe dceři své; a ty porodila Jákobovi, šestnácte duší.
19 Sons of Rachel, Jacob’s wife: Joseph and Benjamin.
Synové pak Ráchel, manželky Jákobovy: Jozef a Beniamin.
20 And born to Joseph in the land of Egypt (whom Asenath daughter of Poti-Pherah, priest of On, has borne to him) [are] Manasseh and Ephraim.
A Jozefovi narodili se v zemi Egyptské z Asenat, dcery Putifera knížete On, Manasses a Efraim.
21 And sons of Benjamin: Belah, and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Naaman, Ehi, and Rosh, Muppim, and Huppim, and Ard.
Ale synové Beniaminovi: Béla, Becher, Asbel, Gera, Náman, Echi, Roz, Mufim, Chuppim a Ared.
22 These [are] sons of Rachel, who were born to Jacob; all the persons [are] fourteen.
Tiť jsou synové Ráchel, kteréž porodila Jákobovi; všech duší čtrnáct.
23 And sons of Dan: Hushim.
A syn Danův: Chusim.
24 And sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shillem.
Synové pak Neftalím: Jaziel, Guni, Jezer a Sallem.
25 These [are] sons of Bilhah, whom Laban gave to his daughter Rachel; and she bears these to Jacob—all the persons [are] seven.
Ti jsou synové Bály, kterouž Lában dal Ráchel dceři své, a ty porodila Jákobovi; všech duší sedm.
26 All the persons who are coming to Jacob to Egypt, coming out of his thigh, apart from the wives of Jacob’s sons, all the persons [are] sixty-six.
27 And the sons of Joseph who have been born to him in Egypt [are] two persons. All the persons of the house of Jacob who are coming into Egypt [are] seventy.
28 And Judah he has sent before him to Joseph, to direct before him to Goshen, and they come into the land of Goshen;
Poslal pak Judu napřed k Jozefovi, aby oznámil jemu prvé, než přišel do Gesen. A tak přišli do země Gesen.
29 and Joseph harnesses his chariot, and goes up to meet his father Israel, to Goshen, and appears to him, and falls on his neck, and weeps on his neck again;
Jozef pak zapřáh do svého vozu, vyjel vstříc Izraelovi otci svému do Gesen; a jakž ho Jákob uzřel, padl na jeho šíji, a plakal dlouho na šíji jeho.
30 and Israel says to Joseph, “Let me die this time, after my seeing your face, for you [are] yet alive.”
31 And Joseph says to his brothers, and to the house of his father, “I go up, and declare to Pharaoh, and say to him, My brothers, and the house of my father who [are] in the land of Canaan have come to me;
Jozef pak řekl bratřím svým a domu otce svého: Pojedu a zvěstuji Faraonovi, a dím jemu: Bratří moji a dům otce mého, kteříž bydlili v zemi Kananejské, přišli ke mně.
32 and the men [are] feeders of a flock, for they have been men of livestock; and their flock, and their herd, and all that they have, they have brought.
33 And it has come to pass, when Pharaoh calls for you and has said, What [are] your works?
A když by povolal vás Farao, a řekl: Jaký jest obchod váš?
34 That you have said, Your servants have been men of livestock from our youth, even until now, both we and our fathers, in order that you may dwell in the land of Goshen, for the abomination of the Egyptians is everyone feeding a flock.”
