Genesis 36
1 And these [are] the generations of Esau, who [is] Edom.
ഏദോം എന്ന ഏശാവിനെ സംബന്ധിച്ച വിവരണം ഇതാണ്:
2 Esau has taken his wives from the daughters of Canaan: Adah daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Aholibamah daughter of Anah, daughter of Zibeon the Hivite,
ഏശാവ് രണ്ട് കനാന്യസ്ത്രീകളെ വിവാഹംചെയ്തു: ഹിത്യനായ ഏലോന്റെ പുത്രി ആദായും അനായുടെ പുത്രിയും ഹിവ്യനായ സിബെയോന്റെ കൊച്ചുമകളുമായ ഒഹൊലീബാമയുമാണവർ.
3 and Bashemath daughter of Ishmael, sister of Nebajoth.
കൂടാതെ, യിശ്മായേലിന്റെ മകളും നെബായോത്തിന്റെ സഹോദരിയുമായ ബാസമത്തിനെയും ഭാര്യയായി സ്വീകരിച്ചു.
4 And Adah bears to Esau, Eliphaz; and Bashemath has borne Reuel;
ആദാ ഏശാവിന് എലീഫാസിനെയും ബാസമത്ത് രെയൂവേലിനെയും
5 and Aholibamah has borne Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah. These [are] sons of Esau, who were born to him in the land of Canaan.
ഒഹൊലീബാമ യെയൂശ്, യലാം, കോരഹ് എന്നിവരെയും പ്രസവിച്ചു. ഇവരാണ് ഏശാവിനു കനാനിൽവെച്ചു ജനിച്ച പുത്രന്മാർ.
6 And Esau takes his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his house, and his livestock, and all his beasts, and all his substance which he has acquired in the land of Canaan, and goes into the country from the face of his brother Jacob;
ഏശാവു തന്റെ ഭാര്യമാരെയും പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും കുടുംബത്തിലുള്ള സകല അംഗങ്ങളെയും ആടുമാടുകളെയും തനിക്കുള്ള മറ്റു മൃഗങ്ങളെയും കനാനിൽവെച്ചു സമ്പാദിച്ച സകലവസ്തുക്കളും കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ട് തന്റെ സഹോദരനായ യാക്കോബിന്റെ അടുക്കൽനിന്ന് കുറച്ച് അകലെയുള്ള ഒരു ദേശത്തേക്കു യാത്രയായി.
7 for their substance was more abundant than to dwell together, and the land of their sojournings was not able to bear them because of their livestock;
അവർക്ക് ഒരുമിച്ചു ജീവിക്കാൻ സാധ്യമല്ലാത്തവിധം അത്യധികമായ സ്വത്തുക്കൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവരുടെ ആടുമാടുകൾനിമിത്തം, അവർ ജീവിച്ചിരുന്ന ദേശത്തിന് അവരെ പോറ്റാൻ കഴിയാതെയായി.
8 and Esau dwells in Mount Seir: Esau is Edom.
അതുകൊണ്ട് ഏദോം എന്നു പേരുള്ള ഏശാവ് മലമ്പ്രദേശമായ സേയീരിൽ താമസം ഉറപ്പിച്ചു.
9 And these [are] the generations of Esau, father of Edom, in Mount Seir.
മലമ്പ്രദേശമായ സേയീരിലെ ഏദോമ്യരുടെ പിതാവായ ഏശാവിന്റെ വംശപാരമ്പര്യം ഇതാണ്.
10 These [are] the names of the sons of Esau: Eliphaz son of Adah, wife of Esau; Reuel son of Bashemath, wife of Esau.
ഏശാവിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരുടെ പേരുകൾ: ഏശാവിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ ആദായുടെ മകൻ എലീഫാസ്; മറ്റൊരു ഭാര്യയായ ബാസമത്തിന്റെ മകനായ രെയൂവേൽ.
11 And the sons of Eliphaz are Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz;
എലീഫാസിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: തേമാൻ, ഓമാർ, സെഫോ, ഗഥാം, കെനസ്.
12 and Timnath has been concubine to Eliphaz son of Esau, and she bears to Eliphaz, Amalek; these [are] sons of Adah wife of Esau.
ഏശാവിന്റെ മകനായ എലീഫാസിന് തിമ്ന എന്നു പേരുള്ള ഒരു വെപ്പാട്ടി ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവൾ എലീഫാസിന് അമാലേക്കിനെ പ്രസവിച്ചു. ഇവരായിരുന്നു ഏശാവിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ ആദായുടെ പൗത്രന്മാർ.
13 And these [are] sons of Reuel: Nahath and Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah; these were sons of Bashemath wife of Esau.
രെയൂവേലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: നഹത്ത്, സേരഹ്, ശമ്മാ, മിസ്സാ. ഇവരായിരുന്നു ഏശാവിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ ബാസമത്തിന്റെ പൗത്രന്മാർ.
14 And these have been the sons of Aholibamah daughter of Anah, daughter of Zibeon, wife of Esau; and she bears to Esau, Jeush and Jaalam and Korah.
ഏശാവിന്റെ ഭാര്യയും സിബെയോന്റെ കൊച്ചുമകളും അനായുടെ മകളുമായ ഒഹൊലീബാമ ഏശാവിനു പ്രസവിച്ച പുത്രന്മാർ: യെയൂശ്, യലാം, കോരഹ്.
15 These [are] chiefs of the sons of Esau: sons of Eliphaz, firstborn of Esau: Chief Teman, Chief Omar, Chief Zepho, Chief Kenaz,
ഏശാവിന്റെ പിൻഗാമികളിൽ പ്രധാനികൾ ഇവരാണ്: ഏശാവിന്റെ ആദ്യജാതനായ എലീഫാസിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: പ്രധാനികളായ തേമാൻ, ഓമാർ, സെഫോ, കെനസ്,
16 Chief Korah, Chief Gatam, Chief Amalek; these [are] chiefs of Eliphaz, in the land of Edom; these [are] sons of Adah.
കോരഹ്, ഗത്ഥാം, അമാലേക്ക്. ഏദോമിൽവെച്ച് എലീഫാസിൽനിന്ന് ഉത്ഭവിച്ച പ്രധാനികൾ ഇവരായിരുന്നു; ഇവർ ആദായുടെ പൗത്രന്മാരാണ്.
17 And these [are] sons of Reuel son of Esau: Chief Nahath, Chief Zerah, Chief Shammah, Chief Mizzah; these [are] chiefs of Reuel, in the land of Edom; these [are] sons of Bashemath wife of Esau.
ഏശാവിന്റെ മകനായ രെയൂവേലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: പ്രധാനികളായ നഹത്ത്, സേരഹ്, ശമ്മാ, മിസ്സാ. ഏദോമിൽവെച്ച് രെയൂവേലിൽനിന്ന് ഉത്ഭവിച്ച പ്രധാനികൾ ഇവരാകുന്നു. ഇവർ ഏശാവിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ ബാസമത്തിന്റെ പൗത്രന്മാരാണ്.
18 And these [are] sons of Aholibamah wife of Esau: Chief Jeush, Chief Jaalam, Chief Korah; these [are] chiefs of Aholibamah daughter of Anah, wife of Esau.
ഏശാവിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ ഒഹൊലീബാമയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ: പ്രധാനികളായ യെയൂശ്, യലാം, കോരഹ്, ഏശാവിന്റെ ഭാര്യയും അനായുടെ മകളുമായ ഒഹൊലീബാമയിൽനിന്നു ജനിച്ച പ്രധാനികൾ ഇവരത്രേ.
19 These [are] sons of Esau (who [is] Edom), and these their chiefs.
ഏദോം എന്ന ഏശാവിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ ഇവരാകുന്നു; അവരുടെ പ്രധാനികളും ഇവരാണ്.
20 These [are] sons of Seir the Horite, the inhabitants of the land: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah,
ഹോര്യനായ സേയീരിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായി ആ പ്രദേശത്തു ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നവർ ഇവരാകുന്നു: ലോതാൻ, ശോബാൽ, സിബെയോൻ, അനാ,
21 and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan; these [are] chiefs of the Horites, sons of Seir, in the land of Edom.
ദീശോൻ, ഏസെർ, ദീശാൻ. ഏദോമിലെ സേയീരിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ ഇവർ ഹോര്യരുടെ പ്രധാനികൾ ആകുന്നു.
22 And the sons of Lotan are Hori and Heman; and a sister of Lotan [is] Timna.
ലോതാന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ഹോരി, ഹോമാം; തിമ്നാ ലോതാന്റെ സഹോദരി ആയിരുന്നു.
23 And these [are] sons of Shobal: Alvan and Manahath, and Ebal, Shepho and Onam.
ശോബാലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: അല്വാൻ, മനഹത്ത്, ഏബാൽ, ശെഫോ, ഓനാം.
24 And these [are] sons of Zibeon, both Ajah and Anah: it [is] Anah that has found the Imim in the wilderness, in his feeding the donkeys of his father Zibeon.
സിബെയോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: അയ്യാ, അനാ. തന്റെ പിതാവായ സിബെയോന്റെ കഴുതകളെ മേയിക്കുമ്പോൾ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ ചൂടുള്ള നീരുറവകൾ കണ്ടെത്തിയത് ഇതേ അനാ ആയിരുന്നു.
25 And these [are] sons of Anah: Dishon, and Aholibamah daughter of Anah.
അനാവിന്റെ മക്കൾ: മകൻ ദീശോനും മകൾ ഒഹൊലീബാമയും.
26 And these [are] sons of Dishon: Hemdan, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.
ദീശോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ഹെമ്ദാൻ, എശ്ബാൻ, യിത്രാൻ, കെരാൻ.
27 These [are] sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Zaavan, and Akan.
ഏസെരിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ബിൽഹാൻ, സാവാൻ, അക്കാൻ.
28 These [are] sons of Dishan: Uz and Aran.
ദീശോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ഊസ്, അരാൻ.
29 These [are] chiefs of the Horite: Chief Lotan, Chief Shobal, Chief Zibeon, Chief Anah,
ഹോര്യപ്രധാനികൾ ഇവരായിരുന്നു: ലോതാൻ, ശോബാൽ, സിബെയോൻ, അനാ,
30 Chief Dishon, Chief Ezer, Chief Dishan: these [are] chiefs of the Horite in reference to their chiefs in the land of Seir.
ദീശോൻ, ഏസെർ, ദീശാൻ. ഇവർ സേയീർദേശത്ത് തങ്ങളുടെ വിഭാഗങ്ങൾ അനുസരിച്ച് ഹോര്യപ്രധാനികൾ ആയിരുന്നു.
31 And these [are] the kings who have reigned in the land of Edom before the reigning of a king over the sons of Israel.
ഇസ്രായേലിൽ രാജഭരണം വരുന്നതിനുമുമ്പ് ഏദോമിൽ ഭരണം നടത്തിയിരുന്ന രാജാക്കന്മാർ ഇവരാണ്:
32 And Bela son of Beor reigns in Edom, and the name of his city [is] Dinhabah;
ബെയോരിന്റെ മകനായ ബേല ഏദോമിലെ രാജാവായി. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ നഗരത്തിനു ദിൻഹാബാഹ് എന്നു പേരുണ്ടായി.
33 and Bela dies, and Jobab son of Zerah from Bozrah reigns in his stead;
ബേലയുടെ മരണശേഷം ബൊസ്രാക്കാരനായ സേരഹിന്റെ മകൻ യോബാബ് രാജാവിന്റെ അനന്തരാവകാശിയായിത്തീർന്നു.
34 and Jobab dies, and Husham from the land of the Temanite reigns in his stead.
യോബാബിന്റെ മരണശേഷം തേമാന്യരുടെ ദേശത്തുനിന്നുള്ള ഹൂശാം രാജാവായി.
35 And Husham dies, and Hadad son of Bedad reigns in his stead (who strikes Midian in the field of Moab), and the name of his city [is] Avith;
ഹൂശാമിന്റെ മരണശേഷം ബേദാദിന്റെ മകനും മോവാബുദേശത്തുവെച്ച് മിദ്യാനെ തോൽപ്പിച്ചവനുമായ ഹദദ് രാജാവായി. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ നഗരത്തിന് അവീത്ത് എന്നു പേരായി.
36 and Hadad dies, and Samlah of Masrekah reigns in his stead;
ഹദദിന്റെ മരണശേഷം മസ്രേക്കക്കാരനായ സമ്ളാ അദ്ദേഹത്തിനുപകരം രാജാവായി.
37 and Samlah dies, and Saul from Rehoboth of the River reigns in his stead;
സമ്ളാ മരിച്ചപ്പോൾ നദീതീരത്തുള്ള രെഹോബോത്തിലെ നിവാസിയായ ശാവൂൽ രാജാവായി.
38 and Saul dies, and Ba‘al-hanan son of Achbor reigns in his stead;
ശാവൂലിന്റെ മരണശേഷം അക്ബോരിന്റെ മകനായ ബാൽ-ഹാനാൻ രാജാവായി.
39 and Ba‘al-hanan son of Achbor dies, and Hadar reigns in his stead, and the name of his city [is] Pau; and his wife’s name [is] Mehetabel daughter of Matred, daughter of Me-zahab.
അക്ബോരിന്റെ മകനായ ബാൽ-ഹാനാൻ മരിച്ചശേഷം ഹദദ് രാജാവായി. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ നഗരത്തിനു പാവൂ എന്നു പേരിട്ടു. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഭാര്യയുടെ പേര് മെഹേതബേൽ എന്നായിരുന്നു; അവൾ മേ-സാഹാബിന്റെ മകളായ മത്രേദിന്റെ മകൾ ആയിരുന്നു.
40 And these [are] the names of the chiefs of Esau, according to their families, according to their places, by their names: Chief Timnah, Chief Alvah, Chief Jetheth,
ഏശാവിൽനിന്ന് ഉത്ഭവിച്ച പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെ വംശങ്ങളും പ്രദേശങ്ങളും അനുസരിച്ചുള്ള പേരുകൾ ഇവയാകുന്നു: തിമ്നാ, അല്വാ, യെഥേത്ത്,
41 Chief Aholibamah, Chief Elah, Chief Pinon,
ഒഹൊലീബാമാ, ഏലാ, പീനോൻ,
42 Chief Kenaz, Chief Teman, Chief Mibzar,
കെനസ്, തേമാൻ, മിബ്സാർ,
43 Chief Magdiel, Chief Iram: these [are] chiefs of Edom, in reference to their dwellings, in the land of their possession; he [is] Esau father of Edom.
മഗ്ദീയേൽ, ഈരാം. തങ്ങൾ കൈവശപ്പെടുത്തിയ ദേശത്ത്, തങ്ങളുടെ വാസസ്ഥലങ്ങളുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ ഇവരായിരുന്നു ഏദോമ്യപ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ. ഏശാവുതന്നെ ആയിരുന്നു ഏദോമ്യരുടെ പിതാവ്.
