Genesis 29
1 And Jacob lifts up his feet, and goes toward the land of the sons of the east;
১পাছত যাকোবে যাত্ৰা কৰি কৰি পূৱদেশীয় লোকসকলৰ দেশ পালেগৈ।
2 and he looks, and behold, a well in the field, and behold, there [are] three droves of a flock crouching by it, for they water the droves from that well, and the great stone [is] on the mouth of the well.
২তাত তেওঁ চাৰিওফালে চাই পথাৰৰ মাজত এটা নাদ দেখা পালে। সেই নাদটোৰ ওচৰত তিনি জাক মেৰ-ছাগ শুই আছিল। ৰখীয়াবোৰে সেই নাদৰ পৰা জাকবোৰক পানী খুৱায়। নাদটোৰ মুখত এটা ডাঙৰ শিল আছিল।
3 (When all the droves have been gathered there, and they have rolled the stone from off the mouth of the well, and have watered the flock, then they have turned back the stone on the mouth of the well to its place.)
৩যেতিয়া মেৰ-ছাগৰ জাকবোৰ আহি তাৰ কাষত গোট খায়, তেতিয়া ৰখীয়াবোৰে নাদৰ মুখৰ পৰা শিলটো আঁতৰাই মেৰ-ছাগবোৰক পানী খুৱায় আৰু তাৰ পাছত পুণৰায় নাদৰ মুখত শিলটো আগৰ দৰে থৈ দিয়ে।
4 And Jacob says to them, “My brothers, where [are] you from?” And they say, “We [are] from Haran.”
৪যাকোবে তেওঁলোকক সুধিলে “হে ভাইসকল, আপোনালোক ক’ৰ মানুহ?” তেওঁলোকে ক’লে “আমি হাৰণৰ মানুহ।”
5 And he says to them, “Have you known Laban, son of Nahor?” And they say, “We have known.”
৫যাকোবে তেওঁলোকক সুধিলে, “আপোনালোকে নাহোৰৰ পো-নাতি লাবনক চিনি পাইনে?” তেওঁলোকে ক’লে, “হয়, আমি চিনি পাওঁ।”
6 And he says to them, “Does he have peace?” And they say, “Peace; and behold, his daughter Rachel is coming with the flock.”
৬তেওঁ তেওঁলোকক সুধিলে, “তেওঁ ভালে আছেনে?” তেওঁলোকে ক’লে, “হয়, তেওঁ ভালে আছে; সৌৱা চাওঁক, তেওঁৰ জীয়েক ৰাহেলে মেৰ-ছাগৰ জাক লৈ আহিছে।”
7 And he says, “Behold, the day [is] still great, [it is] not time for the livestock to be gathered; water the flock, and go, delight yourselves.”
৭যাকোবে ক’লে, “চোৱা, বেলি পৰিবলৈ এতিয়াও বহুত দেৰি আছে; পশুবোৰ এঠাইত গোট খোৱাৰ সময় এতিয়াও হোৱা নাই। আপোনালোকে মেৰ-ছাগবোৰক পানী খুৱাই আকৌ চৰাবলৈ লৈ যাওঁক।”
8 And they say, “We are not able, until all the droves be gathered together, and they have rolled away the stone from the mouth of the well, and we have watered the flock.”
৮কিন্তু তেওঁলোকে ক’লে, “আটাইবোৰ পশুৰ জাক একেলগে গোট নাখায় মানে আমি সেইবোৰক পানী খুৱাব নোৱাৰোঁ; পাছত নাদৰ মুখৰ পৰা শিলটো আতৰোৱা হব আৰু তেতিয়াহে আমি মেৰ-ছাগবোৰক পানী খুৱাব পাৰিম।”
9 He is yet speaking with them, and Rachel has come with the flock which her father has, for she [is] shepherdess;
৯যাকোবে তেওঁলোকৰ সৈতে কথাবাৰ্তা হৈ থাকোঁতেই, ৰাহেলে নিজৰ পিতৃৰ মেৰ-ছাগবোৰক লৈ সেই ঠাই পালেহি; কিয়নো তেওঁ সেই জাকবোৰক চৰাইছিল।
10 and it comes to pass, when Jacob has seen Rachel, daughter of his mother’s brother Laban, and the flock of his mother’s brother Laban, that Jacob comes near and rolls the stone from off the mouth of the well, and waters the flock of his mother’s brother Laban.
১০যাকোবে নিজৰ মোমায়েক লাবনৰ জীয়েক ৰাহেল আৰু তেওঁৰ মেৰ-ছাগবোৰক দেখি ওচৰ চাপি গ’ল। তেওঁ নাদৰ মুখৰ পৰা শিলচটা আঁতৰাই দি মেৰ-ছাগৰ জাকক পানী খুৱালে।
11 And Jacob kisses Rachel, and lifts up his voice, and weeps,
১১তাৰ পাছত যাকোবে ৰাহেলক চুমা খাই বৰকৈ কান্দিবলৈ ধৰিলে।
12 and Jacob declares to Rachel that he [is] her father’s brother, and that he [is] Rebekah’s son, and she runs and declares [it] to her father.
১২তেওঁ ৰাহেলক জনালে যে, তেওঁ তাইৰ পিতৃৰ আত্মীয়, ৰিবেকাৰ ল’ৰা। তেতিয়া ৰাহেলে দৌৰি গৈ নিজৰ পিতৃক এই কথা জনালে।
13 And it comes to pass, when Laban hears the report of his sister’s son Jacob, that he runs to meet him, and embraces him, and kisses him, and brings him into his house; and he recounts to Laban all these things,
১৩লাবনে নিজৰ ভনীয়েকৰ ল’ৰা যাকোব অহাৰ খবৰ পাই আগবঢ়াই নিবলৈ দৌৰি আহি তেওঁক সাৱটি ধৰি চুমা খালে আৰু নিজৰ ঘৰলৈ লৈ গ’ল। তেতিয়া যাকোবে লাবনক তেওঁ অহাৰ সকলো কথা জনালে।
14 and Laban says to him, “You [are] surely my bone and my flesh”; and he dwells with him a month of days.
১৪লাবনে তেওঁক ক’লে, “তুমি সচাঁকৈয়ে মোৰ শৰীৰৰ হাড় আৰু মঙহৰ লোক।” তাৰ পাছত যাকোব লাবনৰ ঘৰত এমাহ থাকিল।
15 And Laban says to Jacob, “Is it because you [are] my brother that you have served me for nothing? Declare to me what your hire [is].”
১৫এদিন লাবনে যাকোবক ক’লে, “তুমি মোৰ আত্মীয় হোৱা বাবে জানো বিনা পাৰিশ্রমিককেৰে মোৰ সেৱা কৰা উচিত? তুমি কি বেচ লবা, তাক মোক কোৱা।”
16 And Laban has two daughters, the name of the older [is] Leah, and the name of the younger Rachel,
১৬লাবনৰ দুজনী জীয়েক আছিল; তাৰে বৰ জনীৰ নাম লেয়া আৰু সৰু জনীৰ নাম ৰাহেল।
17 and the eyes of Leah [are] tender, and Rachel has been beautiful of form and beautiful of appearance.
১৭লেয়াৰ চকু দুটা দুৰ্বল দৃষ্টিশক্তিৰ আছিল; কিন্তু ৰাহেল গঠণত ধুনীয়া আৰু দেখনীয়া আছিল।
18 And Jacob loves Rachel and says, “I serve you seven years for Rachel your younger daughter”:
১৮যাকোবে ৰাহেলক প্ৰেম কৰিছিল; সেয়ে তেওঁ ক’লে, “আপোনাৰ সৰু ছোৱালী ৰাহেলৰ কাৰণে মই সাত বছৰ আপোনাৰ সেৱা কৰি দিম।”
19 and Laban says, “It is better for me to give her to you than to give her to another man; dwell with me”;
১৯তেতিয়া লাবনে ক’লে, “ৰাহেলক আন কোনো মানুহক দিয়াতকৈ তোমাক দিয়াই ভাল; তুমি মোৰ লগতে থাকা।”
20 and Jacob serves for Rachel seven years; and they are in his eyes as some days, because of his loving her.
২০সেয়ে, যাকোবে ৰাহেলৰ কাৰণে সাত বছৰ সেৱা কার্য কৰিলে; ৰাহেলক প্ৰেম কৰাৰ কাৰণেই সেই বছৰবোৰ যাকোবৰ মনত মাত্র অলপ দিন যেন লাগিল।
21 And Jacob says to Laban, “Give up my wife, for my days have been fulfilled, and I go in to her”;
২১তাৰ পাছত যাকোবে লাবনক ক’লে, “মোৰ কামৰ কাল পূৰ হৈ গ’ল; গতিকে মই যেন বিবাহত বহিব পাৰোঁ, সেয়ে মোৰ ভাৰ্যাক মোক দিয়ক।”
22 and Laban gathers all the men of the place, and makes a banquet.
২২তেতিয়া লাবনে সেই ঠাইৰ সকলো মানুহক গোটাই এটা ভোজৰ আয়োজন কৰিলে।
23 And it comes to pass in the evening, that he takes his daughter Leah, and brings her to him, and he goes in to her;
২৩পাছত সন্ধিয়া সময়ত লাবনে তেওঁৰ জীয়েক লেয়াক আনি যাকোবৰ ওচৰত দিলে আৰু যাকোবে লেয়াক শয্যাৰ সঙ্গী কৰিলে।
24 and Laban gives his maidservant Zilpah to her, to his daughter Leah, [for] a maidservant.
২৪লাবনে নিজৰ দাসী জিল্পাক জীয়েক লেয়াক তেওঁৰ দাসী হিচাবে দিলে।
25 And it comes to pass in the morning, that behold, it [is] Leah; and he says to Laban, “What [is] this you have done to me? Have I not served with you for Rachel? And why have you deceived me?”
২৫ৰাতিপুৱা হোৱাত যাকোবে আচৰিত হৈ দেখিলে যে, এওঁ দেখুন লেয়াহে! যাকোবে লাবনক ক’লে, “আপুনি মোলৈ এইটো কি কাম কৰিলে? ৰাহেলৰ কাৰণে মই জানো আপোনাৰ সেৱা কৰা নাছিলো? তেন্তে মোক কিয় ছলনা কৰিলে?”
26 And Laban says, “It is not done so in our place, to give the younger before the firstborn;
২৬তেতিয়া লাবনে ক’লে, “ডাঙৰ জনীৰ আগেয়ে সৰু জনীক বিয়া দিয়া আমাৰ নিয়ম নাই।
27 fulfill the period of seven [for] this one, and we also give to you this one, for the service which you serve with me yet seven other years.”
২৭এতিয়া তুমি মোৰ এই ছোৱালীৰ বিবাহৰ উৎসৱ সপ্তাহ পূর্ণ কৰা। তুমি আৰু সাত বছৰ মোৰ সেৱা কৰিলে, আমি তোমাক আন জনীও দিম।”
28 And Jacob does so, and fulfills the period of seven [for] this one, and he gives his daughter Rachel to him for a wife for him;
২৮তেতিয়া যাকোবে সেইদৰেই কৰিলে আৰু লেয়াৰ সপ্তাহো সম্পূর্ণ কৰিলে। তাৰ পাছত লাবনে তেওঁৰ জীয়েক ৰাহেলকো তেওঁৰ লগত বিয়া দিলে।
29 and Laban gives his maidservant Bilhah to his daughter Rachel for a maidservant for her.
২৯লাবনে তেওঁৰ দাসী বিলহাকো জীয়েক ৰাহেলক তেওঁৰ দাসী ৰূপে দিলে।
30 And he also goes in to Rachel, and he also loves Rachel more than Leah; and he serves with him yet seven other years.
৩০এইদৰে যাকোবে ৰাহেলকো বিয়া কৰিলে; কিন্তু তেওঁ লেয়াতকৈ ৰাহেলক অধিক প্ৰেম কৰিলে; তাৰ পাছত তেওঁ আৰু সাত বছৰ খাটি লাবনৰ সেৱা কৰিলে।
31 And YHWH sees that Leah [is] the hated one, and He opens her womb, and Rachel [is] barren;
৩১যিহোৱাই লেয়াক অৱহেলা কৰা দেখি, তেওঁক গৰ্ভধাৰণৰ ক্ষমতা দিলে; কিন্তু ৰাহেল নিঃসন্তান হ’ল।
32 and Leah conceives, and bears a son, and calls his name Reuben, for she said, “Because YHWH has looked on my affliction; because now does my husband love me.”
৩২লেয়া গৰ্ভৱতী হৈ এটি পুত্ৰ সন্তানৰ জন্ম দিলে আৰু তাৰ নাম থলে ৰূবেণ [পুত্ৰক চোৱা]; কিয়নো তেওঁ ক’লে, “যিহোৱাই মোৰ দুখ দেখিলে, সেয়ে এতিয়া মোৰ স্বামীয়ে মোক প্ৰেম কৰিব।”
33 And she conceives again, and bears a son, and says, “Because YHWH has heard that I [am] the hated one, He also gives to me even this [one]”; and she calls his name Simeon.
৩৩তাৰ পাছত লেয়া পুনৰ গৰ্ভৱতী হ’ল আৰু তেওঁৰ এটি পুত্ৰ জন্মিল। তেওঁ ক’লে, “মোক অৱহেলা কৰাৰ কথা যিহোৱাই শুনিলে আৰু সেয়ে মোক এই ল’ৰাটিও দিলে।” তেওঁ সেই পুত্রৰ নাম চিমিয়োন [শ্ৰৱণ] ৰাখিলে।
34 And she conceives again and bears a son, and says, “Now [is] the time, my husband is joined to me, because I have born to him three sons,” therefore has [one] called his name Levi.
৩৪পুনৰ তেওঁ গৰ্ভৱতী হৈ এটি পুত্ৰ প্ৰসৱ কৰিলে। তেওঁ ক’লে, “এইবাৰ মোৰ স্বামী মোত আসক্ত হ’ব; কিয়নো মই তেওঁলৈ তিনিটি পুত্ৰ প্ৰসৱ কৰিলোঁ।” এইবুলি তেওঁ ল’ৰাটোৰ নাম লেবী ৰাখিলে।
35 And she conceives again and bears a son, and this time says, “I praise YHWH”; therefore has she called his name Judah; and she ceases from bearing.
৩৫তাৰ পাছত তেওঁ পুনৰায় গৰ্ভৱতী হৈ এটি পুত্ৰ প্ৰসৱ কৰিলে। তেওঁ ক’লে, “এইবাৰ মই যিহোৱাৰ প্ৰশংসা কৰিম।” সেয়ে তেওঁ ল’ৰাটোৰ নাম যিহূদা ৰাখিলে; তাৰ পাছত তেওঁৰ আৰু সন্তান জন্ম নহ’ল।
