Genesis 26
1 And there is a famine in the land, besides the first famine which was in the days of Abraham, and Isaac goes to Abimelech king of the Philistines, to Gerar.
၁ထိုပြည်တွင်အာဗြဟံလက်ထက်ကကဲ့သို့ အစာခေါင်းပါးခြင်းကပ်ဆိုက်ရောက်လာရာ ဣဇာက်သည်ဖိလိတ္တိဘုရင်အဘိမလက် နန်းစိုက်ရာဂေရာမြို့သို့သွားလေ၏။-
2 And YHWH appears to him and says, “Do not go down toward Egypt, dwell in the land concerning which I speak to you,
၂ထာဝရဘုရားသည်သူ့အားကိုယ်ထင်ပြ ၍``သင်သည်အီဂျစ်ပြည်သို့မသွားနှင့်။ ငါ ပြလတ္တံ့သောပြည်၌နေထိုင်လော့။-
3 sojourn in this land, and I am with you, and bless you, for to you and to your seed I give all these lands, and I have established the oath which I have sworn to your father Abraham;
၃ယခုဤပြည်၌နေလော့။ ငါသည်သင်နှင့် အတူရှိ၍ကောင်းချီးပေးမည်။ ဤဒေသအား လုံးကိုသင်နှင့်သင်၏အဆက်အနွယ်တို့အား ငါပေးမည်။ သင်၏အဖအာဗြဟံအားငါ ထားသောကတိအတိုင်းငါပြုမည်။-
4 and I have multiplied your seed as stars of the heavens, and I have given to your seed all these lands; and all nations of the earth have blessed themselves in your Seed;
၄သင်၏အဆက်အနွယ်တို့ကိုကောင်းကင်ကြယ် ကဲ့သို့များပြားစေ၍ သူတို့အားဤဒေသ အားလုံးကိုပေးမည်။ သင်၏အဆက်အနွယ် တို့အားငါကောင်းချီးပေးသည့်နည်းတူ ကမ္ဘာ ပေါ်ရှိလူမျိုးအပေါင်းတို့ကလည်းငါ့ထံ မှကောင်းချီးကိုတောင်းလျှောက်ကြလိမ့် မည်။-
5 because that Abraham has listened to My voice, and keeps My charge, My commands, My statutes, and My laws.”
၅အာဗြဟံသည်ငါ၏စကားကိုနားထောင်၍ငါ ၏ပညတ်နှင့်အမိန့်ရှိသမျှတို့ကိုစောင့်ထိန်း သောကြောင့် ငါသည်သင့်အားကောင်းချီးပေး မည်'' ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။
6 And Isaac dwells in Gerar;
၆ထို့ကြောင့်ဣဇာက်သည်ဂေရာမြို့မှာနေထိုင်လေ၏။-
7 and men of the place ask him of his wife, and he says, “She [is] my sister”: for he has been afraid to say, “My wife—lest the men of the place kill me for Rebekah, for she [is] of good appearance.”
၇ထိုမြို့သားတို့က``သင်နှင့်ပါလာသောအမျိုး သမီးသည်မည်သူနည်း'' ဟုမေးကြသောအခါ သူ၏နှမဖြစ်သည်ဟုဖြေကြားလေသည်။ သူ ၏မယားဖြစ်သည်ဟုမဖော်ပြခြင်းမှာ ရေဗက္က သည်ရုပ်ရည်အလွန်လှသူဖြစ်သဖြင့် ထိုမြို့ သားတို့ကမိမိအားသတ်မည်ကိုဣဇာက် စိုးရိမ်သောကြောင့်ဖြစ်သည်။-
8 And it comes to pass, when the days have been prolonged to him there, that Abimelech king of the Philistines looks through the window, and sees, and behold, Isaac is playing with his wife Rebekah.
၈ဣဇာက်သည်ထိုမြို့တွင်အတန်ကြာနေထိုင်ပြီး နောက်၊ တစ်နေ့တွင်အဘိမလက်ဘုရင်ကြီးသည် ပြူတင်းပေါက်မှအပြင်သို့ကြည့်လိုက်ရာ ဣဇာက် နှင့်ရေဗက္ကတို့ချစ်ကျွမ်းဝင်နေကြသည်ကိုမြင် ရလေသည်။-
9 And Abimelech calls for Isaac and says, “Behold, she [is] surely your wife; and how could you have said, She [is] my sister?” And Isaac says to him, “Because I said, Lest I die for her.”
၉အဘိမလက်သည်ဣဇာက်ကိုခေါ်၍``သူသည် စင်စစ်သင်၏မယားဖြစ်၏။ အဘယ်ကြောင့် သင်၏နှမဟုပြောရသနည်း'' ဟုမေး၏။ ဣဇာက်က``သူသည်ကျွန်ုပ်၏မယားဖြစ်သည် ဟုပြောလျှင်အသတ်ခံရမည်ကိုစိုးရိမ်မိ ပါသည်'' ဟုလျှောက်လေ၏။
10 And Abimelech says, “What [is] this you have done to us? As a little thing one of the people had lain with your wife, and you had brought on us guilt”;
၁၀အဘိမလက်က``သင်သည်ငါတို့အားအဘယ် သို့ပြုမူသနည်း။ ငါ၏လူတစ်ယောက်ယောက်က သင်၏မယားနှင့်အကြောင်းမသိဘဲပြစ်မှား မိလျှင် သင့်ကြောင့်ငါတို့အပြစ်ကူးလွန်ရာ ရောက်ပေမည်'' ဟုဆိုလေသည်။-
11 and Abimelech commands all the people, saying, “He who comes against this man or against his wife, dying does die.”
၁၁ထိုနောက်အဘိမလက်က``ဤသူကိုသော်လည်း ကောင်း၊ သူ၏မယားကိုသော်လည်းကောင်းမ တရားသဖြင့်ပြုသောသူအားသေဒဏ်သင့် စေမည်'' ဟုပြည်သားတို့အားသတိပေးလေ၏။
12 And Isaac sows in that land, and finds in that year a hundredfold, and YHWH blesses him;
၁၂ဣဇာက်သည်ထိုပြည်တွင်နေထိုင်စဉ် ကောက်ပဲ သီးနှံစိုက်ပျိုးလုပ်ကိုင်ရာ ထာဝရဘုရား သည်သူ့အားကောင်းချီးပေးသဖြင့် ထိုနှစ် တွင်အဆတစ်ရာမျှသောအသီးအနှံကို ရိတ်သိမ်းရသည်။-
13 and the man is great, and goes on, going on and becoming great, until he has been very great,
၁၃သူသည်စီးပွားတိုးတက်လာပြီးလျှင် အလွန်ကြွယ်ဝချမ်းသာလာလေသည်။-
14 and he has possession of a flock, and possession of a herd, and an abundant service; and the Philistines envy him,
၁၄သူ၌သိုးအုပ်၊ နွားအုပ်နှင့်အခြွေအရံများစွာရှိ ၍ ဖိလိတ္တိအမျိုးသားတို့သည်သူ့အားမနာ လိုကြသဖြင့်၊-
15 and all the wells which his father’s servants dug in the days of his father Abraham, the Philistines have stopped them, and fill them with dust.
၁၅သူ၏အဖအာဗြဟံအသက်ရှင်စဉ်အဖ၏ အစေခံတို့တူးဖော်ခဲ့သောရေတွင်းရှိသမျှ တို့ကိုမြေဖို့ပစ်ကြလေ၏။
16 And Abimelech says to Isaac, “Go from us; for you have become much mightier than we”;
၁၆ထိုအခါအဘိမလက်ဘုရင်ကဣဇာက် အား``သင်သည်ငါတို့ထက်တန်ခိုးကြီးလာ ပြီဖြစ်၍ငါတို့ပြည်မှထွက်သွားလော့'' ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။-
17 and Isaac goes from there, and encamps in the Valley of Gerar, and dwells there;
၁၇ထို့ကြောင့်ဣဇာက်သည်ထိုအရပ်မှထွက်ခဲ့ ပြီးလျှင် ဂေရာချိုင့်ဝှမ်းတွင်အတန်ကြာမျှ စခန်းချနေထိုင်လေသည်။-
18 and Isaac turns back, and digs the wells of water which they dug in the days of his father Abraham, which the Philistines have stopped after the death of Abraham, and he calls to them names according to the names which his father called them.
၁၈အာဗြဟံလက်ထက်ကတူးဖော်ခဲ့၍အာဗြဟံ ကွယ်လွန်ပြီးနောက် ဖိလိတ္တိအမျိုးသားတို့မြေဖို့ ခဲ့ကြသောရေတွင်းများကို သူသည်တစ်ဖန်တူး ဖော်၍ထိုရေတွင်းများကိုသူ၏ဖခင်မှည့်ခေါ် သောနာမည်များဖြင့်မှည့်ခေါ်လေ၏။-
19 And Isaac’s servants dig in the valley, and find there a well of living water,
၁၉ဣဇာက်၏အစေခံတို့သည်ထိုချိုင့်ဝှမ်း၌ရေ တွင်းသစ်တစ်တွင်းတူးရာရေထွက်လေ၏။-
20 and shepherds of Gerar strive with shepherds of Isaac, saying, “The water [is] ours”; and he calls the name of the well “Strife,” because they have striven habitually with him;
၂၀ဂေရာမြို့မှသိုးထိန်းတို့က``ဤရေတွင်းကို ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ပိုင်သည်'' ဟုဆို၍ဣဇာက်၏သိုးထိန်း တို့နှင့်အငြင်းပွားကြ၏။ ထို့ကြောင့်ဣဇာက်က ထိုရေတွင်းကို``အငြင်းအပွား'' နာမည်ဖြင့် မှည့်ခေါ်လေ၏။
21 and they dig another well, and they strive also for it, and he calls its name “Hatred.”
၂၁ဣဇာက်၏အစေခံတို့သည်အခြားရေတွင်း တစ်တွင်းကိုတူးကြပြန်ရာအငြင်းပွားကြ ပြန်သဖြင့် ထိုရေတွင်းကို``ရန်ငြိုး'' ဟုနာမည် မှည့်လေသည်။-
22 And he removes from there, and digs another well, and they have not striven for it, and he calls its name “Enlargements,” and says, “For—now has YHWH given enlargement to us, and we have been fruitful in the land.”
၂၂တစ်ဖန်ဣဇာက်သည်ထိုအရပ်မှပြောင်း၍အခြား တစ်နေရာ၌ရေတွင်းတစ်တွင်းတူးပြန်လေသည်။ ထိုရေတွင်းနှင့်ပတ်သက်၍အငြင်းပွားမှုမရှိ သဖြင့်``လွတ်လပ်ခြင်း'' ဟုနာမည်မှည့်လေသည်။ ဣဇာက်က``ထာဝရဘုရားသည်ဤပြည်၌ငါ တို့အားလွတ်လပ်စွာနေထိုင်ခွင့်ပေးတော်မူပြီ ဖြစ်၍ငါတို့စီးပွားတိုးတက်မည်'' ဟုဆိုလေ၏။
23 And he goes up from there [to] Beer-Sheba,
၂၃ထိုနောက်ဣဇာက်သည်ဗေရရှေဘအရပ်သို့ ပြောင်းရွှေ့ခဲ့သည်။-
24 and YHWH appears to him during that night and says, “I [am] the God of your father Abraham, do not fear, for I [am] with you, and have blessed you, and have multiplied your seed, because of My servant Abraham”;
၂၄ထိုညမှာထာဝရဘုရားသည်သူ့အားကိုယ် ထင်ပြ၍``ငါသည်သင်၏အဖအာဗြဟံ၏ ဘုရားဖြစ်၏။ မစိုးရိမ်နှင့်။ ငါသည်သင်တို့နှင့် အတူရှိ၏။ ငါ၏ကျွန်အာဗြဟံအားထား သောကတိတော်ကိုထောက်၍သင့်ကိုကောင်းချီး ပေးမည်။ သင်၏အဆက်အနွယ်တို့ကိုလည်းများ ပြားစေမည်'' ဟုမိန့်တော်မူသည်။-
25 and he builds there an altar, and preaches in the Name of YHWH, and stretches out there his tent, and there Isaac’s servants dig a well.
၂၅ဣဇာက်သည်ထိုအရပ်၌ယဇ်ပလ္လင်တည်ပြီး လျှင် ထာဝရဘုရားကိုတိုင်တည်၍ပတ္ထနာ ပြုလေ၏။ သူသည်ထိုအရပ်၌စခန်းချ၍ အစေခံတို့ကရေတွင်းတစ်တွင်းတူးကြ ပြန်သည်။
26 And Abimelech has gone to him from Gerar, and Ahuzzath his friend, and Phichol head of his host;
၂၆အဘိမလက်ဘုရင်သည်အတိုင်ပင်ခံအဟု ဇတ်နှင့်ဗိုလ်ချုပ်ဖိကောလတို့လိုက်ပါလျက် ဂေရာမြို့မှဣဇာက်ထံသို့ရောက်ရှိလာကြ ၏။-
27 and Isaac says to them, “Why have you come to me, and you have hated me, and you send me away from you?”
၂၇ဣဇာက်က``သင်တို့သည်ယခင်ကအကျွန်ုပ် အားမုန်း၍ သင်တို့၏ပြည်မှနှင်ထုတ်ကြပြီး မှ အဘယ်ကြောင့်ယခုအကျွန်ုပ်ထံသို့လာ ကြသနည်း'' ဟုမေးလေ၏။
28 And they say, “We have certainly seen that YHWH has been with you, and we say, Now let there be an oath between us, between us and you, and let us make a covenant with you;
၂၈သူတို့က``ထာဝရဘုရားသည်သင်နှင့်အတူ ရှိကြောင်း ယခုငါတို့သိရပြီဖြစ်၍ ငါတို့ အချင်းချင်းကတိသစ္စာထားကြပါစို့။-
29 do no evil with us, as we have not touched you, and as we have only done good with you, and send you away in peace; you [are] now blessed of YHWH.”
၂၉ငါတို့ကသင့်အားရန်ဖက်မပြုဘဲ သင်တို့အား ကြင်နာ၍အေးချမ်းစွာထွက်သွားစေသည့်နည်း တူ သင်ကငါတို့အားလည်းရန်ဖက်မပြုပါဟု ကတိပြုပါလော့။ ထာဝရဘုရားသည်သင့် အားကောင်းချီးပေးတော်မူကြောင်းသိသာထင် ရှားပါသည်'' ဟုဆို၏။-
30 And he makes a banquet for them, and they eat and drink,
၃၀ဣဇာက်သည်စားသောက်ပွဲကိုပြင်ဆင်၍ သူ တို့အားလုံးအတူတကွစားသောက်ကြ လေသည်။-
31 and rise early in the morning, and swear to one another, and Isaac sends them away, and they go from him in peace.
၃၁နောက်တစ်နေ့နံနက်စောစောတွင် သူတို့အချင်း ချင်းတစ်ဦးနှင့်တစ်ဦးကတိသစ္စာပြုကြ၏။ ထို့ နောက်သူတို့အချင်းချင်းနှုတ်ဆက်ပြီးလျှင် မိတ်ဆွေဖြစ်လျက်ခွဲခွာကြလေသည်။
32 And it comes to pass during that day that Isaac’s servants come and declare to him concerning the circumstances of the well which they have dug, and say to him, “We have found water”;
၃၂ဣဇာက်၏အစေခံတို့ကသူတို့တူးသောရေ တွင်းရေထွက်ကြောင်းဣဇက်အားပြောပြကြ၏။-
33 and he calls it Shebah, [oath, ] therefore the name of the city [is] Beer-Sheba, [Well of the Oath, ] to this day.
၃၃ဣဇာက်ကထိုရေတွင်းကိုရှေဘဟုမှည့်ခေါ်သော ကြောင့်ထိုမြို့ကိုဗေရရှေဘမြို့ဟုခေါ်တွင်လေ သည်။
34 And Esau is a son of forty years, and he takes a wife, Judith, daughter of Beeri the Hittite, and Bashemath, daughter of Elon the Hittite,
၃၄ဧသောသည်အသက်လေးဆယ်ရှိသောအခါ ဟိတ္တိအမျိုးသားဗေရိ၏သမီးယုဒိတ်၊ ဟိတ္တိ အမျိုးသားဧလုန်၏သမီးဗာရှမတ်တို့ နှစ်ဦးနှင့်အိမ်ထောင်ပြုလေသည်။-
35 and they are a bitterness of spirit to Isaac and to Rebekah.
၃၅ဣဇာက်နှင့်ရေဗက္ကတို့သည်ထိုအမျိုးသမီး များအတွက်ကြောင့်စိတ်မချမ်းမသာဖြစ် ရလေ၏။
