Genesis 21
1 And YHWH has looked after Sarah as He has said, and YHWH does to Sarah as He has spoken;
Zoti vizitoi Sarën, siç i kishte thënë; dhe Zoti i bëri Sarës ato që i kishte premtuar.
2 and Sarah conceives, and bears a son to Abraham, to his old age, at the appointed time that God has spoken of with him;
Dhe Sara u ngjiz dhe lindi një djalë me Abrahamin në pleqërinë e tij, në kohën e caktuar që Perëndia i kishte thënë.
3 and Abraham calls the name of his son who is born to him, whom Sarah has borne to him—Isaac;
Dhe Abrahami ia vuri emrin Isak birit që i kishte lindur dhe që Sara kishte pjellë.
4 and Abraham circumcises his son Isaac, [being] a son of eight days, as God has commanded him.
Pastaj Abrahami e rrethpreu birin e tij Isak kur ishte tetë ditësh, ashtu siç e kishte urdhëruar Perëndia.
5 And Abraham [is] a son of one hundred years in his son Isaac being born to him,
Por Abrahami ishte njëqind vjeç, kur i lindi biri i tij Isaku.
6 and Sarah says, “God has made laughter for me; everyone who is hearing laughs for me.”
Dhe Sara tha: “Perëndia më ka dhënë çka duhet për të qeshur, kushdo që do ta dëgjojë ka për të qeshur bashkë me mua”.
7 She also says, “Who has said to Abraham, Sarah has suckled sons, that I have born a son for his old age?”
Dhe tha gjithashtu: “Kush mund t’i thoshte Abrahamit që Sara do të mëndte fëmijë? Sepse unë i linda një djalë në pleqërinë e tij”.
8 And the boy grows, and is weaned, and Abraham makes a great banquet in the day of Isaac’s being weaned;
Kështu, pra, fëmija u rrit dhe u zvordh; dhe ditën që Isaku u zvordh Abrahami shtroi një gosti të madhe.
9 and Sarah sees the son of Hagar the Egyptian, whom she has borne to Abraham, mocking,
Tani Sara pa që djali që i kishte lindur Abrahamit nga Agari, egjiptasja, qeshte.
10 and she says to Abraham, “Cast out this handmaid and her son; for the son of this handmaid has no possession with my son—with Isaac.”
Atëherë ajo i tha Abrahamit: “Përzëre këtë shërbyese dhe birin e saj, sepse i biri i kësaj shërbyese nuk duhet të jetë trashëgimtar me birin tim, me Isakun”.
11 And the thing is very wrong in the eyes of Abraham, for his son’s sake;
Kjo gjë s’i pëlqeu aspak Abrahamit, për shkak të djalit të tij.
12 and God says to Abraham, “Let it not be wrong in your eyes because of the youth, and because of your handmaid: all that Sarah says to you—listen to her voice, for in Isaac is a seed called to you.
Por Perëndia i tha Abrahamit: “Mos u hidhëro për shkak të djalit dhe të shërbyeses sate; dëgjo tërë ato që të thotë Sara, sepse nga Isaku do të dalin pasardhës që do të mbajnë emrin tënd.
13 As for the son of the handmaid also, for a nation I set him, because he [is] your seed.”
Edhe nga djali i kësaj shërbyeses unë do të bëj një komb, sepse është një pasardhës i yt”.
14 And Abraham rises early in the morning, and takes bread, and a bottle of water, and gives to Hagar (placing [it] on her shoulder), also the boy, and sends her out; and she goes on, and goes astray in the wilderness of Beer-Sheba;
Abrahami u ngrit herët në mëngjes, mori bukë dhe një calik ujë dhe ia dha Agarit; vuri gjithçka mbi shpatullat e saj dhe e nisi bashkë me fëmijën. Kështu ajo u nis dhe filloi të bredhë nëpër shkretëtirën e Beer-Shebas.
15 and the water is consumed from the bottle, and she places the boy under one of the shrubs.
Kur uji i calikut mbaroi, ajo e vuri fëmijën poshtë një kaçubeje.
16 And she goes and sits by herself opposite [him], far off, about a bow-shot, for she said, “Do not let me look on the death of the boy”; and she sits opposite [him], and lifts up her voice, and weeps.
Dhe shkoi e u ul përballë tij, në një largësi sa një goditje me hark, sepse thoshte: “Nuk dua ta shoh fëmijën të vdesë!” Kështu ajo u ul përballë tij, ngriti zërin dhe qau.
17 And God hears the voice of the youth; and the messenger of God calls to Hagar from the heavens and says to her, “What to you, Hagar? Do not fear; for God has listened to the voice of the youth where he [is];
Dhe Perëndia dëgjoi zërin e djaloshit dhe engjëlli i Perëndisë thirri Agarin nga qielli dhe i tha: “Çfarë ke, Agar? Mos ki frikë, se Perëndia ka dëgjuar zërin e djaloshit aty ku ndodhet.
18 rise, lift up the youth, and lay hold on him with your hand, for I set him for a great nation.”
Çohu, çoje djaloshin dhe mbaje fort me dorën tënde, sepse unë do të bëj prej tij një komb të madh”.
19 And God opens her eyes, and she sees a well of water, and she goes and fills the bottle [with] water, and causes the youth to drink;
Atëherë Perëndia ia hapi sytë dhe ajo pa një pus uji: kështu vajti të mbushë calikun me ujë dhe i dha të pijë djaloshit.
20 and God is with the youth, and he grows, and dwells in the wilderness, and is an archer;
Dhe Perëndia qe me djaloshin; ai u rrit, banoi në shkretëtirë dhe u bë shenjëtar harku.
21 and he dwells in the wilderness of Paran, and his mother takes for him a wife from the land of Egypt.
Ai banoi në shkretëtirën e Paranit dhe nëna e tij e martoi me një grua nga Egjipti.
22 And it comes to pass at that time that Abimelech speaks—Phichol also, head of his host—to Abraham, saying, “God [is] with you in all that you are doing;
Në atë kohë Abimeleku, së bashku me Pikolin, kreu i ushtrisë së tij, i foli Abrahamit duke i thënë: “Perëndia është me ty në tërë ato që bën;
23 and now, swear to me by God here: you do not lie to me, or to my continuator, or to my successor; according to the kindness which I have done with you—do with me, and with the land in which you have sojourned.”
prandaj betohu këtu në emër të Perëndisë që ti s’ke për të gënjyer as mua, as bijtë e mi, as nipërit e mi, që ti do të përdorësh ndaj meje dhe vendit ku ke banuar si i huaj po atë dashamirësi që unë kam treguar ndaj teje”.
24 And Abraham says, “I swear.”
Abrahami u përgjegj: “Betohem”.
25 And Abraham reasoned with Abimelech concerning the matter of a well of water which Abimelech’s servants have violently taken away,
Pastaj Abrahami e qortoi Abimelekun për shkak të një pusi uji që shërbyesit e Abimelekut e kishin shtënë në dorë.
26 and Abimelech says, “I have not known who has done this thing, and even you did not declare to me, and I also, I have not heard except today.”
Abimeleku tha: “Unë nuk e di se kush e ka bërë këtë gjë; ti vetë nuk ma ke njoftuar dhe unë vetëm sot dëgjova të flitet për këtë ngjarje”.
27 And Abraham takes sheep and oxen, and gives to Abimelech, and they make, both of them, a covenant;
Atëherë Abrahami mori dele dhe qe dhe ia dha Abimelekut; dhe të dy lidhën aleancë.
28 and Abraham sets seven lambs of the flock by themselves.
Pastaj Abrahami vuri mënjanë shtatë qengja femër të kopesë.
29 And Abimelech says to Abraham, “What [are] they—these seven lambs which you have set by themselves?”
Dhe Abimeleku i tha Abrahamit: “Ç’kuptim ka ajo që ke vënë shtatë qengja mënjanë?”.
30 And he says, “For—the seven lambs you accept from my hand, so that it becomes a witness for me that I have dug this well”;
Abrahami u përgjegj: “Ti do t’i pranosh nga dora ime këto shtatë qengja, me qëllim që kjo të më vlejë si dëshmi që unë e kam hapur këtë pus”.
31 therefore he has called that place “Beer-Sheba,” for both of them have sworn there.
Prandaj ai e quajti këtë vend Beer-Sheba, sepse aty që të dy ishin betuar.
32 And they make a covenant in Beer-Sheba, and Abimelech rises—Phichol also, head of his host—and they return to the land of the Philistines;
Kështu lidhën aleancë në Beer-Sheba. Pastaj Abimeleku dhe Pikoli, kreu i ushtrisë të tij, u ngritën dhe u kthyen në vendin e Filistejve.
33 and [Abraham] plants a tamarisk in Beer-Sheba, and preaches there in the Name of YHWH, the perpetual God;
Pastaj Abrahami mbolli një marinë në Beer-Sheba dhe aty thërriti emrin e Zotit, Perëndi i përjetësisë.
34 and Abraham sojourns in the land of the Philistines many days.
Dhe Abrahami qëndroi si i huaj shumë kohë në vendin e Filistejve.
