Genesis 14
1 And it comes to pass in the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations,
E aconteceu nos dias de Anrafel, rei de Sinear, Arioque, rei de Elasar, Quedorlaomer, rei de Elão, e Tidal, rei de nações,
2 they have made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboim, and the king of Bela, which [is] Zoar.
Que estes fizeram guerra contra Bera, rei de Sodoma, e contra Birsa, rei de Gomorra, e contra Sinabe, rei de Admá, e contra Semeber, rei de Zeboim, e contra o rei de Belá, a qual é Zoar.
3 All these have been joined together to the Valley of Siddim, which [is] the Salt Sea;
Todos estes se juntaram no vale de Sidim, que é o mar salgado.
4 [for] twelve years they served Chedorlaomer, and the thirteenth year they rebelled.
Doze anos haviam servido a Quedorlaomer, e ao décimo terceiro ano se rebelaram.
5 And in the fourteenth year came Chedorlaomer, and the kings who [are] with him, and they strike the Rephaim in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzim in Ham, and the Emim in Shaveh Kiriathaim,
E no ano décimo quarto veio Quedorlaomer, e os reis que estavam de sua parte, e derrotaram aos refains em Asterote-Carnaim, aos zuzins em Hã, e aos emins em Savé-Quiriataim.
6 and the Horites in their Mount Seir, to El-Paran, which [is] by the wilderness;
E aos horeus no monte de Seir, até a El-Parã, que está junto ao deserto.
7 and they turn back and come to En-Mishpat, which [is] Kadesh, and strike the whole field of the Amalekite, and also the Amorite who is dwelling in Hazezon-Tamar.
E voltaram e vieram a En-Mispate, que é Cades, e devastaram todas as terras dos amalequitas, e também aos amorreus, que habitavam em Hazazom-Tamar.
8 And the king of Sodom goes out, and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah, and the king of Zeboim, and the king of Bela, which [is] Zoar; and they set in array [for] battle with them in the Valley of Siddim,
E saiu o rei de Sodoma, e o rei de Gomorra, e o rei de Admá, e o rei de Zeboim, e o rei de Belá, que é Zoar, e ordenaram contra eles batalha no vale de Sidim;
9 with Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar; four kings with the five.
A saber, contra Quedorlaomer, rei de Elão, e Tidal, rei de nações, e Anrafel, rei de Sinear, e Arioque, rei de Elasar; quatro reis contra cinco.
10 And the Valley of Siddim [is] full of bitumen-pits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah flee, and fall there, and those left have fled to the mountain.
E o vale de Sidim estava cheio de poços de betume: e fugiram o rei de Sodoma e o de Gomorra, e caíram ali; e os demais fugiram ao monte.
11 And they take the whole substance of Sodom and Gomorrah, and the whole of their food, and go away;
E tomaram toda a riqueza de Sodoma e de Gomorra, e todos os seus mantimentos, e se foram.
12 and they take Lot, Abram’s brother’s son (seeing he is dwelling in Sodom), and his substance, and go away.
Tomaram também Ló, filho do irmão de Abrão, que morava em Sodoma, e sua riqueza, e se foram.
13 And one who is escaping comes and declares to Abram the Hebrew, and he is dwelling among the oaks of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner, and they [are] Abram’s allies.
E veio um dos que escaparam, e denunciou-o a Abrão o hebreu, que habitava no vale de Manre, amorreu, irmão de Escol e irmão de Aner, os quais tinham feito pacto com Abrão.
14 And Abram hears that his brother has been taken captive, and he draws out his trained servants, three hundred and eighteen, and pursues to Dan.
E ouviu Abrão que seu irmão estava prisioneiro, e armou seus criados, os criados de sua casa, trezentos e dezoito, e seguiu-os até Dã.
15 And he divides himself against them by night, he and his servants, and strikes them, and pursues them to Hobah, which [is] at the left of Damascus;
E derramou-se sobre eles de noite ele e seus servos, e feriu-os, e foi os seguindo até Hobá, que está à esquerda de Damasco.
16 and he brings back the whole of the substance, and he has also brought back his brother Lot and his substance, and also the women and the people.
E recuperou todos os bens, e também a Ló seu irmão e sua riqueza, e também as mulheres e gente.
17 And the king of Sodom goes out to meet him (after his turning back from the striking of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings who [are] with him), to the Valley of Shaveh, which [is] the king’s valley.
E saiu o rei de Sodoma a recebê-lo, quando voltava da derrota de Quedorlaomer e dos reis que com ele estavam, ao vale de Savé, que é o vale do Rei.
18 And Melchizedek king of Salem has brought out bread and wine, and he [is] priest of God Most High;
Então Melquisedeque, rei de Salém, tirou pão e vinho; o qual era sacerdote do Deus altíssimo;
19 and he blesses him and says, “Blessed [is] Abram to God Most High, possessing the heavens and earth;
E abençoou-lhe, e disse: Bendito seja Abrão do Deus altíssimo, possuidor dos céus e da terra;
20 and blessed [is] God Most High, who has delivered your adversaries into your hand”; and he gives to him a tenth of all.
E bendito seja o Deus altíssimo, que entregou teus inimigos em tua mão.
21 And the king of Sodom says to Abram, “Give to me the persons, and take the substance to yourself,”
Então o rei de Sodoma disse a Abrão: Dá-me as pessoas, e toma para ti a riqueza.
22 and Abram says to the king of Sodom, “I have lifted up my hand to YHWH, God Most High, possessing the heavens and earth—
E respondeu Abrão ao rei de Sodoma: Levantei minha mão ao SENHOR Deus altíssimo, possuidor dos céus e da terra,
23 from a thread even to a shoe-strap I do not take of anything which you have, that you do not say, I have made Abram rich;
Que desde um fio até a correia de um calçado, nada tomarei de tudo o que é teu, para que não digas: Eu enriqueci a Abrão:
24 save only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men who have gone with me—Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre—they take their portion.”
Tirando somente o que os rapazes comeram, e a porção dos homens que foram comigo, Aner, Escol, e Manre; eles tomem a sua parte.
