Genesis 14
1 And it comes to pass in the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations,
E aconteceu nos dias de Amraphel, rei de Shinar, Arioch, rei de Ellasar, Chedorlaomer, rei de Elam, e Tidal, rei de Goiim,
2 they have made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboim, and the king of Bela, which [is] Zoar.
Que estes fizeram guerra a Bera, rei de Sodoma, a Birsha, rei de Gomorrah, a Shinab, rei de Admah, e a Shemeber, rei de Zeboiim, e ao rei de Bela (esta é Zoar).
3 All these have been joined together to the Valley of Siddim, which [is] the Salt Sea;
Todos estes se ajuntaram no valle de Siddim (que é o mar de sal).
4 [for] twelve years they served Chedorlaomer, and the thirteenth year they rebelled.
Doze annos haviam servido a Chedorlaomer, mas ao decimo terceiro anno rebelaram-se.
5 And in the fourteenth year came Chedorlaomer, and the kings who [are] with him, and they strike the Rephaim in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzim in Ham, and the Emim in Shaveh Kiriathaim,
E ao decimo quarto anno veiu Chedorlaomer, e os reis que estavam com elle, e feriram aos Rephains em Ashteroth-karnaim, e aos Zuzins em Ham, e aos Emins em Shave-kiriathaim,
6 and the Horites in their Mount Seir, to El-Paran, which [is] by the wilderness;
E aos Horeos no seu monte Seir, até á campina de Paran, que está junto ao deserto.
7 and they turn back and come to En-Mishpat, which [is] Kadesh, and strike the whole field of the Amalekite, and also the Amorite who is dwelling in Hazezon-Tamar.
Lepois tornaram e vieram a Enmispat (que é Cades), e feriram toda a terra dos Amalekitas, e tambem os Amoreos, que habitavam em Hazazon-tamar.
8 And the king of Sodom goes out, and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah, and the king of Zeboim, and the king of Bela, which [is] Zoar; and they set in array [for] battle with them in the Valley of Siddim,
Então saiu o rei de Sodoma, e o rei de Gomorrah, e o rei de Admah, e o rei de Zeboiim, e o rei de Bela (esta é Zoar), e ordenaram batalha contra elles no valle de Siddim,
9 with Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar; four kings with the five.
Contra Chedorlaomer, rei de Elam, e Tidal, rei de Goiim, e Amraphel, rei de Shinar, e Arioch, rei de Ellasar; quatro reis contra cinco.
10 And the Valley of Siddim [is] full of bitumen-pits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah flee, and fall there, and those left have fled to the mountain.
E o valle de Siddim estava cheio de poços de betume: e fugiram os reis de Sodoma, e de Gomorrah, e cairam ali; e os restantes fugiram para um monte.
11 And they take the whole substance of Sodom and Gomorrah, and the whole of their food, and go away;
E tomaram toda a fazenda de Sodoma, e de Gomorrah, e todo o seu mantimento, e foram-se.
12 and they take Lot, Abram’s brother’s son (seeing he is dwelling in Sodom), and his substance, and go away.
Tambem tomaram a Lot, que habitava em Sodoma, filho do irmão de Abrão, e a sua fazenda, e foram-se.
13 And one who is escaping comes and declares to Abram the Hebrew, and he is dwelling among the oaks of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner, and they [are] Abram’s allies.
Então veiu um que escapára, e o contou a Abrão, o Hebreu: elle habitava junto dos carvalhaes de Mamre, o Amoreo, irmão de Eshcol, e irmão de Aner; elles eram confederados de Abrão.
14 And Abram hears that his brother has been taken captive, and he draws out his trained servants, three hundred and eighteen, and pursues to Dan.
Ouvindo pois Abrão que o seu irmão estava preso, armou os seus creados, nascidos em sua casa, trezentos e dezoito, e os perseguiu até Dan.
15 And he divides himself against them by night, he and his servants, and strikes them, and pursues them to Hobah, which [is] at the left of Damascus;
E dividiu-se contra elles de noite, elle e os seus creados, e os feriu, e os perseguiu até Hobah, que fica á esquerda de Damasco.
16 and he brings back the whole of the substance, and he has also brought back his brother Lot and his substance, and also the women and the people.
E tornou a trazer toda a fazenda, e tornou a trazer tambem a Lot, seu irmão, e a sua fazenda, e tambem as mulheres, e o povo.
17 And the king of Sodom goes out to meet him (after his turning back from the striking of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings who [are] with him), to the Valley of Shaveh, which [is] the king’s valley.
E o rei de Sodoma saiu-lhe ao encontro (depois que voltou de ferir a Chedorlaomer e aos reis que estavam com elle) até ao valle de Schave, que é o valle do rei.
18 And Melchizedek king of Salem has brought out bread and wine, and he [is] priest of God Most High;
E Melchizedec, rei de Salem, trouxe pão e vinho: e era este sacerdote do Deus altissimo.
19 and he blesses him and says, “Blessed [is] Abram to God Most High, possessing the heavens and earth;
E abençoou-o, e disse: Bemdito seja Abrão de Deus altissimo, o Possuidor dos céus e da terra;
20 and blessed [is] God Most High, who has delivered your adversaries into your hand”; and he gives to him a tenth of all.
E bemdito seja o Deus altissimo, que entregou os teus inimigos nas tuas mãos. E deu-lhe o dizimo de tudo.
21 And the king of Sodom says to Abram, “Give to me the persons, and take the substance to yourself,”
E o rei de Sodoma disse a Abrão: Dá-me a mim as almas, e a fazenda toma para ti.
22 and Abram says to the king of Sodom, “I have lifted up my hand to YHWH, God Most High, possessing the heavens and earth—
Abrão, porém, disse ao rei de Sodoma: Levantei minha mão ao Senhor, o Deus altissimo, o Possuidor dos céus e da terra,
23 from a thread even to a shoe-strap I do not take of anything which you have, that you do not say, I have made Abram rich;
Que desde um fio até á correia de um sapato, não tomarei coisa alguma de tudo o que é teu: para que não digas: Eu enriqueci a Abrão;
24 save only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men who have gone with me—Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre—they take their portion.”
Salvo tão sómente o que os mancebos comeram, e a parte que toca aos varões que commigo foram, Aner, Escol, e Mamre; estes que tomem a sua parte.
