< Genesis 10 >
1 And these [are] the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and sons are born to them after the flood.
Èyí ni ìran àwọn ọmọ Noa: Ṣemu, Hamu àti Jafeti, tí àwọn náà sì bí ọmọ lẹ́yìn ìkún omi.
2 Sons of Japheth [are] Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
Àwọn ọmọ Jafeti ni: Gomeri, Magogu, Madai, Jafani, Tubali, Meṣeki àti Tirasi.
3 And sons of Gomer [are] Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
Àwọn ọmọ Gomeri ni: Aṣkenasi, Rifati àti Togarma.
4 And sons of Javan [are] Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
Àwọn ọmọ Jafani ni: Eliṣa, Tarṣiṣi, Kittimu, àti Dodanimu.
5 By these the islands of the nations have been parted in their lands, each by his tongue, by their families, in their nations.

6 And sons of Ham [are] Cush, and Mitzraim, and Phut, and Canaan.
Àwọn ọmọ Hamu ni: Kuṣi, Ejibiti, Puti àti Kenaani.
7 And sons of Cush [are] Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtechah; and sons of Raamah [are] Sheba and Dedan.
Àwọn ọmọ Kuṣi ni: Seba, Hafila, Sabta, Raama, àti Sabteka. Àwọn ọmọ Raama ni: Ṣeba àti Dedani.
8 And Cush has begotten Nimrod;
Kuṣi sì bí Nimrodu, ẹni tí ó di alágbára jagunjagun ní ayé.
9 he has begun to be a hero in the land; he has been a hero in hunting before YHWH; therefore it is said, “As Nimrod the hero [in] hunting before YHWH.”
Ó sì jẹ́ ògbójú ọdẹ níwájú Olúwa; nítorí náà ni a ṣe ń wí pé, “Bí Nimrodu, ògbójú ọdẹ níwájú Olúwa.”
10 And the first part of his kingdom is Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar;
Ìjọba rẹ̀ bẹ̀rẹ̀ ni Babeli, Ereki, Akkadi, Kalne, gbogbo wọn wà ní ilẹ̀ Ṣinari.
11 from that land he has gone out to Asshur, and builds Nineveh, even the broad places of the city, and Calah,
Láti ilẹ̀ náà ni ó ti lọ sí Asiria, níbi tí ó ti tẹ ìlú Ninefe, Rehoboti àti Kala,
12 and Resen, between Nineveh and Calah; it [is] the great city.
àti Resini, tí ó wà ní àárín Ninefe àti Kala, tí ó jẹ́ ìlú olókìkí.
13 And Mitzraim has begotten the Ludim, and the Anamim, and the Lehabim, and the Naphtuhim,
Ejibiti sì bí Ludimu, Anamimu, Lehabimu, Naftuhimu.
14 and the Pathrusim, and the Casluhim (from where have come out Philistim), and the Caphtorim.
Patrusimu, Kasluhimu (láti ọ̀dọ̀ ẹni tí àwọn ará Filistini ti wá) àti àwọn ará Kaftorimu.
15 And Canaan has begotten Sidon his firstborn, and Heth,
Kenaani sì bí Sidoni àkọ́bí rẹ̀, àti Heti.
16 and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,
Àti àwọn ará Jebusi, àti àwọn ará Amori, àti àwọn ará Girgaṣi,
17 and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
àti àwọn ará Hifi, àti àwọn ará Arki, àti àwọn ará Sini,
18 and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite; and afterward the families of the Canaanite have been scattered.
àti àwọn ará Arfadi, àti àwọn ará Semari, àti àwọn ará Hamati. Lẹ́yìn èyí ni àwọn ẹ̀yà Kenaani tànkálẹ̀.
19 And the border of the Canaanite is from Sidon, [in] your coming toward Gerar, to Gaza; [in] your coming toward Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, to Lasha.
Ààlà ilẹ̀ àwọn ará Kenaani sì dé Sidoni, lọ sí Gerari títí dé Gasa, lọ sí Sodomu, Gomorra, Adma àti Seboimu, títí dé Laṣa.
20 These [are] sons of Ham, by their families, by their tongues, in their lands, in their nations.
Àwọn wọ̀nyí ni àwọn ọmọ Hamu, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ẹ̀yà wọn, àti èdè wọn, ní ìpínlẹ̀ wọn àti ní orílẹ̀-èdè wọn.
21 As for Shem, father of all sons of Eber, the older brother of Japheth, he has also begotten.
A bí àwọn ọmọ fún Ṣemu tí Jafeti jẹ́ ẹ̀gbọ́n rẹ̀ ọkùnrin: Ṣemu sì ni baba gbogbo àwọn ọmọ Eberi.
22 Sons of Shem [are] Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.
Àwọn ọmọ Ṣemu ni: Elamu, Aṣuri, Arfakṣadi, Ludi àti Aramu.
23 And sons of Aram [are] Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.
Àwọn ọmọ Aramu ni: Usi, Huli, Geteri àti Meṣeki.
24 And Arphaxad has begotten Salah, and Salah has begotten Eber.
Arfakṣadi sì bí Ṣela, Ṣela sì bí Eberi.
25 And two sons have been born to Eber; the name of the first [is] Peleg (for in his days the earth has been divided), and his brother’s name [is] Joktan.
Eberi sì bí ọmọ méjì: ọ̀kan ń jẹ́ Pelegi, nítorí ní ìgbà ọjọ́ rẹ̀ ni ilẹ̀ ya; orúkọ arákùnrin rẹ̀ ni Joktani.
26 And Joktan has begotten Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,
Joktani sì bí Almodadi, Ṣelefi, Hasarmafeti, Jera.
27 and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
Hadoramu, Usali, Dikla,
28 and Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
Obali, Abimaeli, Ṣeba.
29 and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab; all these [are] sons of Joktan;
Ofiri, Hafila àti Jobabu. Gbogbo àwọn wọ̀nyí ni ọmọ Joktani.
30 and their dwelling is from Mesha, [in] your coming toward Sephar, a mountain of the east.
Agbègbè ibi tí wọn ń gbé bẹ̀rẹ̀ láti Meṣa títí dé Sefari, ní àwọn ilẹ̀ tó kún fún òkè ní ìlà-oòrùn.
31 These [are] sons of Shem, by their families, by their tongues, in their lands, by their nations.
Àwọn wọ̀nyí ni àwọn ẹ̀yà ọmọ Ṣemu gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìdílé wọn, ní èdè wọn, ní ilẹ̀ wọn àti ní orílẹ̀-èdè wọn.
32 These [are] families of the sons of Noah, by their generations, in their nations, and by these the nations have been parted in the earth after the flood.
Àwọn wọ̀nyí ni àwọn ẹ̀yà ọmọ Noa gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìran wọn, ní orílẹ̀-èdè wọn. Ní ipasẹ̀ wọn ni àwọn ènìyàn ti tàn ká ilẹ̀ ayé lẹ́yìn ìkún omi.
