Genesis 10

1 And these [are] the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and sons are born to them after the flood.

Acum acestea sunt generaţiile fiilor lui Noe: Sem, Ham şi Iafet; şi li s-au născut fii după potop.

2 Sons of Japheth [are] Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.

Fiii lui Iafet: Gomer şi Magog şi Madai şi Iavan şi Tubal şi Meşec şi Tiras.

3 And sons of Gomer [are] Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.

Şi fiii lui Gomer: Aşchenaz şi Rifat şi Togarma.

4 And sons of Javan [are] Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.

Şi fiii lui Iavan: Elişa şi Tarsis, Chitim şi Dodanim.

5 By these the islands of the nations have been parted in their lands, each by his tongue, by their families, in their nations.

Prin aceştia au fost împărţite insulele neamurilor în pământurile lor, fiecare după limba lui, după familiile lor, în naţiunile lor.

6 And sons of Ham [are] Cush, and Mitzraim, and Phut, and Canaan.

Şi fiii lui Ham: Cuş şi Miţraim şi Put şi Canaan.

7 And sons of Cush [are] Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtechah; and sons of Raamah [are] Sheba and Dedan.

Şi fiii lui Cuş: Seba şi Havila şi Sabta şi Raema şi Sabteca; şi fiii lui Raema: Şeba şi Dedan.

8 And Cush has begotten Nimrod;

Şi Cuş a născut pe Nimrod, el a început să fie unul puternic pe pământ.

9 he has begun to be a hero in the land; he has been a hero in hunting before YHWH; therefore it is said, “As Nimrod the hero [in] hunting before YHWH.”

El era un vânător puternic înaintea DOMNULUI, de aceea s-a spus: Precum Nimrod, puternicul vânător înaintea DOMNULUI.

10 And the first part of his kingdom is Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar;

Şi începutul împărăţiei sale a fost Babel şi Erec şi Acad şi Calne, în ţara Şinar.

11 from that land he has gone out to Asshur, and builds Nineveh, even the broad places of the city, and Calah,

Din acea ţară a ieşit Aşur şi a zidit Ninive şi cetatea Rehobot şi Calah,

12 and Resen, between Nineveh and Calah; it [is] the great city.

Şi Resen, între Ninive şi Calah; aceasta este o mare cetate.

13 And Mitzraim has begotten the Ludim, and the Anamim, and the Lehabim, and the Naphtuhim,

Şi Miţraim a născut pe ludimi şi pe anamimi şi pe lehabimi şi pe naftuhimi,

14 and the Pathrusim, and the Casluhim (from where have come out Philistim), and the Caphtorim.

Şi pe patrusimi şi pe casluhimi, (din care au venit filisteni) şi pe caftorimi.

15 And Canaan has begotten Sidon his firstborn, and Heth,

Şi Canaan a născut pe Sidon, întâiul său născut, şi pe Het,

16 and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,

Şi pe iebusiţi şi pe amoriţi şi pe ghirgasiţi,

17 and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,

Şi pe hiviţi şi pe archiţi şi pe siniţi,

18 and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite; and afterward the families of the Canaanite have been scattered.

Şi pe arvadiţi şi pe ţemariţi şi pe hamatiţi şi după aceea familiile canaaniţilor au fost împrăştiate peste tot.

19 And the border of the Canaanite is from Sidon, [in] your coming toward Gerar, to Gaza; [in] your coming toward Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, to Lasha.

Şi graniţa canaaniţilor era de la Sidon, precum vii la Gherar, spre Gaza, cum mergi spre Sodoma şi Gomora şi Adma şi Zeboim, până la Leşa.

20 These [are] sons of Ham, by their families, by their tongues, in their lands, in their nations.

Aceştia sunt fiii lui Ham, după familiile lor, după limbile lor, în ţările lor şi în naţiunile lor.

21 As for Shem, father of all sons of Eber, the older brother of Japheth, he has also begotten.

Lui Sem, de asemenea, tatăl tuturor copiilor lui Eber, fratele lui Iafet, care este mai vârstnic, şi lui i s-au născut copii.

22 Sons of Shem [are] Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.

Copiii lui Sem: Elam şi Aşur şi Arpacşad şi Lud şi Aram.

23 And sons of Aram [are] Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.

Şi copiii lui Aram: Uţ şi Hul şi Gheter şi Maş.

24 And Arphaxad has begotten Salah, and Salah has begotten Eber.

Şi Arpacşad a născut pe Şelah şi Şelah a născut pe Eber.

25 And two sons have been born to Eber; the name of the first [is] Peleg (for in his days the earth has been divided), and his brother’s name [is] Joktan.

Şi lui Eber i s-au născut doi fii: numele unuia a fost Peleg, pentru că în zilele lui a fost pământul împărţit, şi numele fratelui său a fost Ioctan.

26 And Joktan has begotten Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,

Şi Ioctan a născut pe Almodad şi pe Şelef şi pe Haţarmavet şi pe Ierah,

27 and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,

Şi pe Hadoram şi pe Uzal şi pe Dicla,

28 and Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,

Şi pe Obal şi pe Abimael şi pe Şeba,

29 and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab; all these [are] sons of Joktan;

Şi pe Ofir şi pe Havila şi pe Iobab, toţi aceştia au fost fiii lui Ioctan.

30 and their dwelling is from Mesha, [in] your coming toward Sephar, a mountain of the east.

Şi locuinţa lor era de la Meşa, aşa cum mergi spre Sefar, un munte spre est.

31 These [are] sons of Shem, by their families, by their tongues, in their lands, by their nations.

Aceştia sunt fiii lui Sem, după familiile lor, după limbile lor, în ţările lor, după naţiunile lor.

32 These [are] families of the sons of Noah, by their generations, in their nations, and by these the nations have been parted in the earth after the flood.

Acestea sunt familiile fiilor lui Noe, după generaţiile lor; în naţiunile lor şi prin aceştia au fost naţiunile împărţite pe pământ după potop.
