Genesis 10
1 And these [are] the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and sons are born to them after the flood.
૧નૂહના દીકરા, શેમ, હામ અને યાફેથની વંશાવળી આ પ્રમાણે છે. જળપ્રલય પછી તેઓને જે દીકરાઓ થયા તે આ હતા.
2 Sons of Japheth [are] Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
૨ગોમેર, માગોગ, માદાય, યાવાન, તુબાલ, મેશેખ તથા તીરાસ, યાફેથના દીકરાઓ હતા.
3 And sons of Gomer [are] Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
૩આશ્કનાઝ, રીફાથ તથા તોગાર્મા, ગોમેરના દીકરાઓ હતા.
4 And sons of Javan [are] Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
૪એલીશા, તાર્શીશ, કિત્તીમ અને દોદાનીમ, યાવાનના દીકરાઓ હતા.
5 By these the islands of the nations have been parted in their lands, each by his tongue, by their families, in their nations.
૫તેઓના વંશના લોકો પોતપોતાની ભાષા, કુળો અને તેઓના પ્રદેશો પ્રમાણે દરિયા કિનારાના વિભાગોમાં અલગ અલગ સ્થળે વિસ્તર્યા હતા.
6 And sons of Ham [are] Cush, and Mitzraim, and Phut, and Canaan.
૬કૂશ, મિસરાઈમ, પૂટ અને કનાન, હામના દીકરાઓ હતા.
7 And sons of Cush [are] Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtechah; and sons of Raamah [are] Sheba and Dedan.
૭કૂશના દીકરાઓ સબા, હવીલા, સાબ્તા, રામા તથા સાબ્તેકા હતા. રામાના દીકરા શેબા તથા દેદાન હતા.
8 And Cush has begotten Nimrod;
૮કૂશનો દીકરો નિમ્રોદ, પૃથ્વી પરનો પહેલો શક્તિશાળી યોદ્ધો હતો.
9 he has begun to be a hero in the land; he has been a hero in hunting before YHWH; therefore it is said, “As Nimrod the hero [in] hunting before YHWH.”
૯તે યહોવાહની આગળ બળવાન શિકારી હતો. એ માટે કહેવાય છે કે, “નિમ્રોદ યહોવાહની આગળ બળવાન શિકારી જેવો હતો.”
10 And the first part of his kingdom is Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar;
૧૦તેણે શિનઆર દેશના બાબિલ, એરેખ, આક્કાદ તથા કાલનેહ પર સૌ પ્રથમ પોતાના રાજ્યની સ્થાપના શરૂઆત કરી હતી.
11 from that land he has gone out to Asshur, and builds Nineveh, even the broad places of the city, and Calah,
૧૧ત્યાંથી તે આશ્શૂરમાં ગયો અને નિનવે, રહોબોથ ઈર, કાલા,
12 and Resen, between Nineveh and Calah; it [is] the great city.
૧૨રેસેન, જે નિનવે તથા કાલાની વચમાં હતું, તે સર્વ નગરો તેણે બાંધ્યાં. તેમાં રેસેન એક મોટું નગર હતું.
13 And Mitzraim has begotten the Ludim, and the Anamim, and the Lehabim, and the Naphtuhim,
૧૩મિસરાઈમ તે લૂદીમ, અનામીમ લહાબીમ, નાફતુહીમ,
14 and the Pathrusim, and the Casluhim (from where have come out Philistim), and the Caphtorim.
૧૪પાથરુસીમ, કાસ્લુહીમ તેનામાંથી પલિસ્તીઓનો ઉદ્દભવ થયો હતો તથા કાફતોરીમ એ સર્વનો પિતા હતો.
15 And Canaan has begotten Sidon his firstborn, and Heth,
૧૫કનાનનો પ્રથમ દીકરો સિદોન હતો અને પછી હેથ,
16 and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,
૧૬વળી યબૂસી, અમોરી, ગિર્ગાશી,
17 and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
૧૭હિવ્વી, આર્કી, સિની,
18 and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite; and afterward the families of the Canaanite have been scattered.
૧૮આર્વાદી, સમારી તથા હમાથીનો પણ તે પિતા હતો. ત્યાર પછી કનાનીઓનાં કુટુંબો વિસ્તાર પામ્યા.
19 And the border of the Canaanite is from Sidon, [in] your coming toward Gerar, to Gaza; [in] your coming toward Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, to Lasha.
૧૯કનાનીઓની સરહદ સિદોનથી ગેરાર જતા ગાઝા, સદોમ, ગમોરા, આદમા તથા સબોઈમ જતા લાશા સુધી હતી.
20 These [are] sons of Ham, by their families, by their tongues, in their lands, in their nations.
૨૦આ પ્રમાણે હામના દીકરા, પોતાનાં કુટુંબો પ્રમાણે, પોતાની ભાષા પ્રમાણે, તેઓના દેશોમાં તથા પોતપોતાના લોકોમાં વસેલા હતા.
21 As for Shem, father of all sons of Eber, the older brother of Japheth, he has also begotten.
૨૧શેમને પણ દીકરાઓ થયા. તેનો મોટો ભાઈ યાફેથ હતો. શેમ એબેરના બધા લોકોનો પૂર્વજ હતો.
22 Sons of Shem [are] Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.
૨૨શેમના દીકરાઓ, એલામ, આશ્શૂર, આર્પાકશાદ, લૂદ તથા અરામ હતા.
23 And sons of Aram [are] Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.
૨૩અરામના દીકરાઓ ઉસ, હૂલ, ગેથેર અને માશ હતા.
24 And Arphaxad has begotten Salah, and Salah has begotten Eber.
૨૪આર્પાકશાદ શેલાનો પિતા અને શેલા એબેરનો પિતા હતો.
25 And two sons have been born to Eber; the name of the first [is] Peleg (for in his days the earth has been divided), and his brother’s name [is] Joktan.
૨૫એબેરને બે દીકરા થયા. એકનું નામ પેલેગ, કેમ કે તેના દિવસોમાં પૃથ્વીના વિભાગ થયાં. તેના ભાઈનું નામ યોકટાન હતું.
26 And Joktan has begotten Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,
૨૬યોકટાન તે આલ્મોદાદ, શેલેફ, હસાર્માવેથ, યેરાહ;
27 and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
૨૭હદોરામ, ઉઝાલ, દિકલાહ;
28 and Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
૨૮ઓબાલ, અબિમાએલ, શેબા;
29 and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab; all these [are] sons of Joktan;
૨૯ઓફીર, હવીલા અને યોબાબનો પિતા હતો. એ સર્વ યોકટાનના દીકરા હતા.
30 and their dwelling is from Mesha, [in] your coming toward Sephar, a mountain of the east.
૩૦મેશાથી આગળ જતા પૂર્વનો પહાડ સફાર આવેલો છે. ત્યાં સુધી તેઓનો વસવાટ હતો.
31 These [are] sons of Shem, by their families, by their tongues, in their lands, by their nations.
૩૧પોતાના કુટુંબો પ્રમાણે, પોતાની બોલી પ્રમાણે, પોતાના દેશો તથા પોતાના લોકો પ્રમાણે આ શેમના દીકરાઓ છે.
32 These [are] families of the sons of Noah, by their generations, in their nations, and by these the nations have been parted in the earth after the flood.
૩૨તેઓની વંશાવળી પ્રમાણે અને તેઓના પ્રદેશો પ્રમાણે એ બધા નૂહના દીકરાઓનાં કુટુંબો છે. જળપ્રલય પછી પૃથ્વી પરના લોકોના વિવિધ વિભાગો થયા.
