1 In [the] beginning God created the heavens and the earth,

2 and the earth was formless and void, and darkness [was] on the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God [was] fluttering on the face of the waters,
Leiset chu agong bei le ahomkeu ahin, muthim chun twipi thuhtah chu akhukhum ahin, Hiche twipi chung'a chu Pathen lhagao chu ana lhale ahi.
3 and God says, “Let light be”; and light is.
Pathen in; “Vah hung umhen,” atin, Vah chu aum tai.
4 And God sees that the light [is] good, and God separates between the light and the darkness,
Pathen in vah chu aven pha asah e. Chule Pathen in vah chu muthim akon in asep khen tai.
5 and God calls the light “Day,” and the darkness He has called “Night”; and there is an evening, and there is a morning—day one.
Pathen'in vah chu sun asah in muthim chu jan asah tai. Hiche apat chun nilhah le jingkah ahung umdohtan hichu nikho masa pen ahung hitai.
6 And God says, “Let an expanse be in the midst of the waters, and let it be separating between waters and waters.”
Hichun Pathenin aseiyin, “Twipi sukhen dingin, vanthamjol hung kidal hen lang Van, twipi le leiset twipi chu alang alang ah sukhen hen,” atin.
7 And God makes the expanse, and it separates between the waters which [are] under the expanse, and the waters which [are] above the expanse: and it is so.
Hiti chun asei bang in aum in, van twipi le leiset twipi chu alang alang ah asukhen tai.”
8 And God calls the expanse “Heavens”; and there is an evening, and there is a morning—[the] second day.
Pathen in onghom chu vanthamjol asah in, hichun nilhah le jingkah achedoh kitin ahileh nikho nina ahi tai.
9 And God says, “Let the waters under the heavens be collected to one place, and let the dry land be seen”: and it is so.
Chule Pathen in aseiye, “Vantham jol'a twi umjouse chu mun khat'a kikhol khom hen lang chule tolgo lai um doh hen,” ati. Asei bang chun aum jeng tai.
10 And God calls the dry land “Earth,” and the collection of the waters He has called “Seas”; and God sees that [it is] good.
Pathen in tolgo lai chu leiset asah in chule twi jouse kikhol na mun chu twikhanglen asah e. Pathen in aven pha asa lheh jeng in ahi.
11 And God says, “Let the earth yield tender grass, herb sowing seed, fruit-tree (whose seed [is] in itself) making fruit after its kind, on the earth”: and it is so.
Chuin Pathen'in aseiye, “Leiset in hamphung ho, amu nei hamphung, agathei hamhing chi chom chom leh thingphung aga amunei ho, hiche ho chun ama ama chi dungjui cheh ahin sepdoh kit diu ahi,” ati. Hiti chun ahung kehdoh tauve.
12 And the earth brings forth tender grass, herb sowing seed after its kind, and tree making fruit (whose seed [is] in itself) after its kind; and God sees that [it is] good;
Leiset'in hamphung thingphung ama ama chi dung juiyin ahung kehdoh in, agathei amu nei thingphung ama ama chi dungjui yin ahung kehdoh tauvin ahi. Pathen'in aven pha asah lheh jeng in ahi.
13 and there is an evening, and there is a morning—[the] third day.
Nilhah khat le jingkah khat achekit in nithum alhing tai.
14 And God says, “Let luminaries be in the expanse of the heavens, to make a separation between the day and the night, then they have been for signs, and for appointed times, and for days and years,
Chuin Pathen'in aseiye, “Sun le jan sepkhen dingin vanthomjol avah thei vahho hung kigol uhenlang, hiche ho chu kum kihei chin melchihnan jong, nikho simtoh nan jong chule kum simtoh nan jong pang'u hen.
15 and they have been for luminaries in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth”: and it is so.
Chujong le hiche ho chu vana vanthamjol akon in leiset salvah-in pang u-hen,’’ atin ahileh, hiti chun aum tai.
16 And God makes the two great luminaries, the great luminary for the rule of the day, and the small luminary—and the stars—for the rule of the night;
Hiche achun Pathen in vah alen cheh ni asem in, vah alenjo chu sunlaiya thunei ding in apansah-in, chule vah aneojo chu janlaiya thunei ding in apansah tai; hiti chun ahsi ho jong ahin sem tai.
17 and God gives them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth,
Pathen in vahho chu vanthamjol apat in leiset salvah din apansah tai.
18 and to rule over day and over night, and to make a separation between the light and the darkness; and God sees that [it is] good;
Sunlaiya thunei ding, janlaiya thunei ding, chule khovah le muthim sepkhen ding in apansah tan ahi. Pathen in aven ahileh pha asa lheh jeng in ahi.
19 and there is an evening, and there is a morning—[the] fourth day.
Hichu nikho li alhin ni ahi.
20 And God says, “Let the waters teem with the teeming living creature, and let [the] bird fly above the earth on the face of the expanse of the heavens.”
Pathen in aseiye, “Twija kon in nga ho leh ganhing ahingthei dangho umhen, chuleh vanthamjol ajong vachate ajat kimsoh in hung leng leu hen,’’ati.
21 And God creates the great dragons, and every living creature that is creeping, which the waters have teemed with, after their kind, and every bird with wing, after its kind, and God sees that [it is] good.
Hiti chun Pathen in twikhanglen'a ganhing ahing thei jouse ahona kijot le ding in asem in, hiche ho chun twi a kidil sah sah-uvin, ama ama jat cheh in alha uvin ahi, chujong le ajat jat in alhanei vachate jong asem in ahi. Hichu Pathen in aven pha asalheh jeng in ahi.
22 And God blesses them, saying, “Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let the bird multiply in the earth”:
Pathen in abonchauvin phatthei aboh in, “Hinpha uvin lang chule pung uvin, twikhanglen'a twi lah dimset uvin, chule leiset chunga vachate jong pung u-hen,’’ ati.
23 and there is an evening, and there is a morning—[the] fifth day.
Chuin nilhah khat le jingkah khat achen ni nga lhinna ahi tai.
24 And God says, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature after its kind, livestock and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after its kind”: and it is so.
Chuin Pathen in aseiye, “Leiset in ama akon in sa jat chom chom hin hingdoh hen! Ama ama jat dungyui cheh in, vah ngui thei gancha, tol'a kithol ganhing, leh gamsa ho jong hihen” ati. Hiti chun aum jeng tai.
25 And God makes the beast of the earth after its kind, and the livestock after their kind, and every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, and God sees that [it is] good.
Chuin leiset chunga gamsa ho ama ama jat cheh in chule gancha ho jong ama ama jat cheh in a-opma kithol ajat jat in asem'e. Pathen in hiche ho chu aven pha asa lheh jeng in ahi.
26 And God says, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness, and let them rule over [the] fish of the sea, and over [the] bird of the heavens, and over livestock, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that is creeping on the earth.”
Hichun Pathen in aseiye, “Eihon mihem ho, eiho lim pu'in sem u-hitin. Amaho chun twikhanglen sunga nga ho jouse chunga thunei diu, vanlai jol'a leng le vacha ho chule vah ngui thei gancha ho, le gam sa ho, chule a opa a kithol chengse chung'a thunei vaihom in pang'u hen,” ati.
27 And God creates the man in His image; in the image of God He created him, a male and a female He created them.
Hiti chun Pathen in ama lim mong mong in mihem chu asem in, Pathen lim tobang bang in ama lim chu asem tai, pasal le numei asem doh tan ahi.
28 And God blesses them, and God says to them, “Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it, and rule over [the] fish of the sea, and over [the] bird of the heavens, and over every living thing that is creeping on the earth.”
Pathen in amani chu phatthei aboh in amani jah'a aseiye, “Chipha lhon in chule pung jing lhon in simseng louvin leiset chung hinlo dimset un, chule nangni noiya vaihom na umhen, vanlai jol'a leng vachate chunga jong chule twikhanglen'a ahingthei jouse chunga hijong le aboncha ganhing namkim hihen chule leiset chunga lhale ganhing jouse hile achung uva thunei vaihom in pang lhon tan,’’ ati.
29 And God says, “Behold, I have given to you every herb sowing seed, which [is] on the face of all the earth, and every tree in which [is] the fruit of a tree sowing seed, to you it is for food;
Pathen in hitin jong seiye, “Ve lhon in keiman leiset chunga muchi gathei phung jouse le thingphung gathei jouse aboncha hi nangni kihinso theina dinga kapeh lhon nahitai.
30 and to every beast of the earth, and to every bird of the heavens, and to every creeping thing on the earth, in which [is] breath of life, every green herb [is] for food”: and it is so.
Chule leiset chunga um gamsa jouse hihen chunga leng vachate ho hijongle tol'a aop'a kithol ganhing jouse hijongle ahaithei hinna nei jouse aneh ding uva hamhing jouse kapeh doh ahi tai,’’ atile, hitobang chun aum tai.
31 And God sees all that He has done, and behold, [it is] very good; and there is an evening, and there is a morning—the sixth day.
Chuin Pathen in asemsa chengse chu aboncha'n aven, “Apha lheh jeng in ahi,” hichea chun nilhah le jingkah khat ahung um doh in nigup lhinni ahung hitai.
