< Galatians 5 >
1 In the freedom, then, with which Christ made you free—stand, and do not be held fast again by a yoke of servitude.
Ahofadi nti na Kristo ama yɛade yɛn ho no. Munnyina pintinn. Mommma ho kwan mma wɔmmfa mo nyɛ nkoa bio.
2 Behold! I, Paul, say to you, that if you are [to be] circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing;
Muntie! Me Paulo, meka kyerɛ mo se, sɛ moma ho kwan ma wotwa mo twetia a, na ɛkyerɛ sɛ Kristo so amma mfaso biara amma mo koraa.
3 and I testify again to every man circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law;
Mebɔ mo kɔkɔ bio sɛ obiara a ɔbɛma ho kwan ama wɔatwa no twetia no, na ɛsɛ sɛ odi mmara no nyinaa so.
4 you were voided from the Christ, you who are declared righteous in law; you fell away from grace;
Mo a mopɛ sɛ wɔde mmara no bu mo bem no atew mo ho afi Kristo ho. Adom no nni mo so bio.
5 for we by the Spirit, by faith, wait for a hope of righteousness,
Nanso yefi gyidi mu nam Honhom no so twɛn trenee a yɛn ani da so no.
6 for in Christ Jesus neither circumcision avails anything, nor uncircumcision, but faith working through love.
Kristo Yesu mu no, twetiatwa ne momonotoyɛ so nni mfaso. Nea ɛho hia ne gyidi a ɛnam ɔdɔ so da ne ho adi.
7 You were running well; who hindered you [so as] not to obey the truth?
Na anka moresi mmirikakan no yiye! Na hena na otwintwan mo anan mu ma mugyaee nokware no tie?
8 The persuasion [is] not of Him who is calling you!
Saa nnaadaa no mfi nea ɔfrɛ mo no.
9 A little leaven leavens the whole lump;
“Mmɔkaw kakraa bi na ɛma mmɔre no nyinaa tu.”
10 I have confidence in regard to you in the LORD that you will not be otherwise minded; and he who is troubling you will bear the judgment, whoever he may be.
Mewɔ anidaso wɔ Awurade mu sɛ morennwen adwene foforo bi. Onipa ko a ɔde sakasakayɛ reba mo mu no, wobetua ne so ka.
11 And I, brothers, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? Then the stumbling-block of the Cross has been done away [with];
Anuanom, sɛ migu so ka twetiatwa ho asɛm a, adɛn nti na wɔda so taa me? Na sɛ ɛno na ɛyɛ nokware a, anka mʼasɛm a meka fa Kristo asennua ho no renkɔfa ɔhaw mma. Ɛno de, na anka asennua no ho hintidua biara nni hɔ bio.
12 O that even they would cut themselves off who are unsettling you!
Sɛ ɛkaa me nko a anka wɔn a wɔhaw mo no atwa wɔn ho atwitwa wɔn ho wɔn ho.
13 For you were called to freedom, brothers, only the freedom [is] not for an occasion to the flesh, but serve one another through the love,
Me nuanom, mo de, wɔfrɛɛ mo sɛ mommɛde mo ho. Nanso mommma saa ahofadi yi mmɔ ɔkwan mma bɔne; mmom momfa ɔdɔ nsom mo ho mo ho.
14 for all the Law is fulfilled in one word—in this: “You will love your neighbor as yourself”;
Efisɛ Mmara no nyinaa tiaatwa ne sɛ, “Dɔ wo yɔnko sɛ wo ho.”
15 and if you bite and devour one another, see that you may not be consumed by one another.
Na sɛ mokeka na momemene mo ho mo ho a, ɛno de monhwɛ yiye na moansɛe mo ho mo ho.
16 And I say, walk in the Spirit, and you may not fulfill the desire of the flesh;
Na mise montena ase wɔ Honhom mu, na moremma ɔhonam akɔnnɔ ho kwan.
17 for the flesh desires contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit contrary to the flesh, and these are opposed to one another, that the things that you may will—these you may not do;
Efisɛ nea ɔhonam pɛ no tia nea Honhom no pɛ; saa ara nso na nea Honhom no pɛ no, ɔhonam no tia. Nʼabien no bɔ abira, enti ɛnsɛ sɛ moyɛ nea mopɛ.
18 and if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.
Sɛ monantew Honhom mu a, na monnhyɛ Mmara ase.
19 And the works of the flesh are also evident, which are: adultery, whoredom, uncleanness, licentiousness,
Dwuma a bɔne su di no da adi pefee. Eyinom ne aguamammɔ, efi, ahohwi,
20 idolatry, witchcraft, enmities, strife, jealousy, wraths, rivalries, dissensions, sects,
abosonsom, aduto, ɔtan, akayɛ, ahoɔyaw, abufuw, aperepere, kunsunkunsun, mpaapaemu,
21 envyings, murders, drunkenness, reveling, and such like, of which I tell you before, as I also said before, that those doing such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
nitan, nsabow, agobɔne, ne nneɛma a ɛtete saa. Mebɔ mo kɔkɔ sɛnea mabɔ mo dedaw no se, wɔn a wɔtena ase saa no renkɔ Onyankopɔn Ahenni no mu.
22 And the fruit of the Spirit is: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith,
Na Honhom no aba ne ɔdɔ, anigye, asomdwoe, abodwokyɛre, ayamye, papayɛ, gyidi,
23 meekness, [and] self-control. Against such there is no law;
odwo ne ahohyɛso. Mmara biara nni hɔ a etia eyinom.
24 and those who are of Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with the affections and the desires;
Na wɔn a wɔyɛ Kristo de no abɔ wɔn nipasu no ne honam akɔnnɔ asennua mu.
25 if we may live in the Spirit, we may also walk in the Spirit;
Sɛ yɛte Honhom mu yi, momma yɛnnantew Honhom mu.
26 let us not become vainglorious—provoking one another, envying one another!
Ɛnsɛ sɛ yɛhoahoa yɛn ho, yiyi yɛn ho yɛn ho abufuw, anaa yɛma yɛn ani bere yɛn ho yɛn ho.
