< Ezekiel 1 >
1 And it comes to pass, in the thirtieth year, in the fourth [month], on the fifth of the month, and I [am] in the midst of the expulsion by the river Chebar, the heavens have been opened, and I see visions of God.
Awo mu mwaka ogw’amakumi asatu mu mwezi ogwokuna ku lunaku olwokutaano mu mwezi ogwo, bwe nnali nga ndi mu buwaŋŋanguse ku mabbali g’omugga Kebali, eggulu ne libikkulwa, ne ndaba okwolesebwa okuva eri Katonda.
2 In the fifth of the month—it is the fifth year of the expulsion of King Jehoiachin—
Ku lunaku olwokutaano mu mwezi ogwo, gwe gwali omwaka ogwokutaano ogw’obuwaŋŋanguse bwa kabaka Yekoyakini,
3 the word of YHWH has certainly been to Ezekiel son of Buzi the priest, in the land of the Chaldeans, by the river Chebar, and there is on him there a hand of YHWH.
ekigambo kya Mukama ne kinzijjira, nze Ezeekyeri kabona, mutabani wa Buuzi, mu nsi ey’Abakaludaaya ku mabbali g’omugga Kebali, n’omukono gwa Mukama gwali ku ye.
4 And I look, and behold, a turbulent wind is coming from the north, a great cloud, and fire catching itself, and brightness to it all around, and out of its midst as the color of electrum, out of the midst of the fire.
Awo ne ntunula ne ndaba kibuyaga ng’ava mu bukiikakkono, n’ekire ekikutte ekimyansa ekyamwetooloola, wakati nga wafaanana ng’awali ekyuma ekimasamasa.
5 And out of its midst [is] a likeness of four living creatures, and this [is] their appearance; a likeness of man [is] to them,
Wakati mu muliro mwalabika ng’omwali ebiramu ebina, nga birina ekifaananyi ky’omuntu.
6 and each had four faces and each of them had four wings,
Buli kimu kyalina obwenyi buna, n’ebiwaawaatiro bina.
7 and their feet [are] straight feet, and the sole of their feet [is] as a sole of a calf’s foot, and they are sparkling as the color of bright bronze;
Amagulu gaabyo gaali magolokofu, n’ebigere byabyo nga bifaanana ekigere ky’ennyana, era nga bitangalijja ng’ekikomo ekizigule.
8 and on their four sides [each had] hands of man under their wings; and [each] of the four had their faces and their wings;
Byalina engalo ez’omuntu wansi w’ebiwaawaatiro byabyo ku njuyi zaabyo ennya. Byonna ebina byalina obwenyi n’ebiwaawaatiro,
9 their wings [are] joining to one another, they do not turn around in their going, they each go straight forward.
era ebiwaawaatiro byabyo nga bisonga waggulu, buli kiwaawaatiro nga kikoona ku kinnaakyo. Buli kimu kyatambula nga kiraga mu maaso, nga tekikyuse kutunula mabega.
10 As for the likeness of their faces, [each had] the face of a man, and toward the right the four had the face of a lion, and on the left the four had the face of an ox, and the four had the face of an eagle.
Obwenyi bwabyo bwafaanana bwe buti: Buli kimu kyalina ekyenyi eky’omuntu, oluuyi olwa ddyo olwa buli kyenyi nga lufaanana ekyenyi eky’empologoma, n’oluuyi olwa kkono ku buli kyenyi nga lufaanana ekyenyi eky’ente, ate nga birina n’ekyenyi ky’emunyungu.
11 And their faces and their wings dividing from above, of each [are] two joining together, and two are covering their bodies.
Ebyenyi byabyo n’ebiwaawaatiro byabyo byali byanjuluze nga bitunudde waggulu. Buli kimu kyalina ebiwaawaatiro bibiri, buli kiwaawaatiro nga kikona ku kinnaakyo, ebibiri ebirala nga bibisse ku mibiri gyabyo.
12 And they each go straight forward, to where the Spirit is to go, they go, they do not turn around in their going.
Buli kimu kyali kitunudde gye kyali kiraga. Omwoyo gye yalaganga nabyo gye byalaganga, ne bitakyuka kudda mabega.
13 As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearances [are] as coals of fire—burning as the appearance of lamps; it is going up and down between the living creatures, and brightness [is] to the fire, and lightning is going forth out of the fire.
Endabika ey’ebiramu ebyo yafaanana ng’omuliro ogwaka ogw’amanda oba omuliro ogw’omumuli. Omuliro gwavanga mu maaso n’emabega, nga gwakaayaakana era nga gumyansa.
14 And the living creatures are running, and turning back, as the appearance of the flash.
Ebiramu byetawulanga ng’okumyansa okw’eggulu.
15 And I see the living creatures, and behold, one wheel [is] in the earth, near the living creatures, at its four faces.
Bwe nnali nga nkyali ku ebyo, ne ndaba zinnamuziga ku ttaka emabbali wa buli kiramu, n’ebyenyi byabyo ebina.
16 The appearance of the wheels and their works [is] as the color of beryl, and the four of them had one likeness, and their appearances and their works [are] as it were the wheel in the midst of the wheel.
Endabika eya zinnamuziga n’okukolebwa kwazo kwali nga berulo, zonna nga zifaanana. Buli emu yafaanana nga nnamuziga ekwataganye ne ginnaayo.
17 On their four sides, in their going they go, they do not turn around in their going.
Era zeetoolooleranga mu njuyi zonna ennya, nga tezizinaazina ng’ebiramu bitambula.
18 As for their rings, they are both high and fearful, and their rings, of the four of them, [are] full of eyes around them.
Empanka zaazo zaali mpanvu nga zitiisa, era empanka ennya zonna nga zijjuddemu amaaso.
19 And in the going of the living creatures, the wheels go beside them, and in the living creatures being lifted up from off the earth, the wheels are lifted up.
Ebiramu bwe byaseeseetukanga, zinnamuziga zaabyo nazo ne ziseeseetuka; ebiramu bwe byagolokokanga okuva mu ttaka zinnamuziga nazo ne zigolokoka.
20 To where the Spirit is to go, they go, there the Spirit [is] to go, and the wheels are lifted up alongside them, for a living spirit [is] in the wheels.
Omwoyo buli gye yabanga agenda, gye byagendanga, ne zinnamuziga ne zisitukira wamu nazo, kubanga omwoyo eyali mu biramu ye yabanga ne mu zinnamuziga.
21 In their going, they go; and in their standing, they stand; and in their being lifted up from off the earth, the wheels are lifted up alongside them; for a living spirit [is] in the wheels.
Ebiramu bwe byaseeseetukanga, nazo ne ziseeseetuka, ebiramu bwe byasitukanga, nazo ne zisituka; ebiramu bwe byagolokokanga okuva ku ttaka, ne zinnamuziga ne zigolokokera wamu nazo, kubanga omwoyo ow’ebiramu yabanga mu zinnamuziga.
22 And over the heads of the living creatures—a likeness of an expanse, as the color of the fearful ice, stretched out over their heads from above.
Waggulu w’emitwe gy’ebiramu waliwo ekifaananyi eky’ekifo ekigazi, ekyatemagananga ng’omuzira.
23 And under the expanse their wings [are] straight, one toward [its] sister; two [wings] of each are covering them, and two [wings] of each are covering their bodies.
Wansi w’ekifo ekyo ekigazi ebiwaawaatiro byabyo byali bigolole, nga bituukagana, buli kiramu nga kirina ebiwaawaatiro bibiri ebyabikkanga emibiri gyabyo.
24 And I hear the noise of their wings, as the noise of many waters, as the noise of the Mighty One, in their going—the noise of tumult, as the noise of a camp, in their standing they let their wings fall.
Ebiramu bwe byagenda, nawulira okuwuuma kw’ebiwaawaatiro byabyo, ng’okuwuuma kw’amazzi amangi, ng’eddoboozi lya Ayinzabyonna, ng’oluyoogaano lw’eggye. Bwe byayimirira, ne bissa ebiwaawaatiro byabyo.
25 And there is a voice from above the expanse, that [is] above their head: in their standing they let their wings fall.
Awo ne wawulikika eddoboozi okuva waggulu w’ekifo ekigazi waggulu w’emitwe gyabyo, bwe byayimiriranga nga bissizza ebiwaawaatiro byabyo.
26 And above the expanse that [is] over their head, as an appearance of a sapphire stone, [is] the likeness of a throne, and on the likeness of the throne a likeness, as the appearance of man on it from above.
Waggulu w’ekifo ekigazi waggulu w’emitwe gyabyo waaliwo ekyafaanananga entebe ey’obwakabaka, eya safiro, ate waggulu w’ekifaananyi eky’entebe ey’obwakabaka nga watuddeyo eyafaanana ng’omuntu.
27 And I see as the color of electrum, as the appearance of fire all around within it, from the appearance of His loins and upward; and from the appearance of His loins and downward, I have seen as the appearance of fire, and brightness [is] all around Him.
Ekyo nakirabira ku kyafaanana ng’ekiwato kye, okwambuka ng’afaanana ng’ekyuma ekyengeredde, nga kiriko omuliro mungi; n’okuva mu kiwato kye okukka ng’afaanana omuliro, nga yeetooloddwa okumasamasa enjuuyi zonna.
28 As the appearance of the bow that is in a cloud in a day of rain, so [is] the appearance of the brightness all around.
Ekitiibwa ekyamwetooloolanga kyafaanana nga musoke mu bire ku lunaku olw’enkuba. Ekyo kye kyali ekifaananyi eky’ekitiibwa kya Mukama. Bwe nakiraba, ne nvuunama, ne mpulira eddoboozi ly’oyo eyali ayogera.
