Ezekiel 9
1 And He cries [with] a loud voice in my ears, saying, “Inspectors of the city have drawn near, and each [with] his destroying weapon in his hand.”
Sodann rief er mir mit lauter Stimme Folgendes in die Ohren: Es nahen die Heimsuchungen der Stadt!
2 And behold, six men are coming from the way of the upper gate, that is facing the north, and each [with] his slaughter-weapon in his hand, and one man in their midst is clothed with linen, and a scribe’s inkhorn at his loins, and they come in, and stand near the bronze altar.
Da kamen sechs Männer in der Richtung vom oberen Thore her, das nach Norden zu gewendet ist, ein jeder mit seinem Zerstörungsgerät in der Hand, und unter ihnen war einer, der war in Linnen gekleidet und hatte ein Schreibzeug an seiner Seite. Die kamen und stellten sich neben den ehernen Altar.
3 And the glory of the God of Israel has gone up from off the cherub, on which it has been, to the threshold of the house.
Und die Herrlichkeit des Gottes Israels hatte sich von dem Kerub, auf welchen sie gewesen war, hinweg erhoben und zu der Schwelle des Hauses hin begeben; und er rief dem zu, der in Linnen gekleidet war, der das Schreibzeug an seiner Seite hatte.
4 And He calls to the man who is clothed with linen, who has the scribe’s inkhorn at his loins, and YHWH says to him, “Pass on into the midst of the city, into the midst of Jerusalem, and you have made a mark on the foreheads of the men who are sighing and who are groaning for all the abominations that are done in its midst.”
Und Jahwe sprach zu ihm: Gehe mitten durch die Stadt, mitten durch Jerusalem, hindurch und mache ein Zeichen auf die Stirn der Männer, die da seufzen und jammern über alle die Greuel, die in ihr verübt werden!
5 And to the others he said in my ears, “Pass on into the city after him, and strike; your eye does not pity, nor do you spare;
Zu den anderen aber sprach er vor meinen Ohren: Geht hinter ihm her durch die Stadt hindurch und schlagt drein; blickt nicht mitleidig, noch übt Schonung!
6 aged, young man, and virgin, and infant, and women, you slay—to destruction; and against any man on whom [is] the mark you do not go near, and you begin from My sanctuary.”
Greis, Jüngling und Jungfrau und Kinder und Weiber metzelt nieder; einen jeden aber, der das Zeichen an sich hat, laßt unberührt. Fangt an bei meinem Heiligtume! Da fingen sie an mit den Vornehmen, die sich vor dem Tempel befanden.
7 And they begin among the aged men who [are] before the house, and He says to them, “Defile the house, and fill the courts with the wounded, go forth.” And they have gone forth and have struck in the city.
Und er sprach zu ihnen: Verunreinigt den Tempel und füllt die Straßen mit Erschlagenen an! Zieht aus! Da zogen sie aus und schlugen drein in der Stadt.
8 And it comes to pass, as they are striking, and I am left—that I fall on my face, and cry, and say, “Aah! Lord YHWH, are You destroying all the remnant of Israel, in Your pouring out Your wrath on Jerusalem?”
Während sie so dreinschlugen, fiel ich auf mein Angesicht und schrie und sprach: Ach, Herr Jahwe! Willst du denn den ganzen Überrest Israels vertilgen, indem du deinen Grimm über Jerusalem ausschüttest?
9 And He says to me, “The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah [is] very, very great, and the land is full of blood, and the city has been full of perverseness, for they have said: YHWH has forsaken the land, and YHWH is not seeing.
Da sprach er zu mir: Die Schuld des Hauses Israel und Juda ist ganz überaus groß, und das Land ist voll von Blutschuld, und die Stadt ist voll von Gewaltthat; denn sie denken: “Jahwe hat das Land verlassen” und “Jahwe sieht es nicht”.
10 And I also, My eye does not pity, nor do I spare; I have put their way on their own head.”
Nun will auch ich nicht mitleidig blicken und nicht Schonung üben: ihren Wandel gebe ich ihnen auf ihren Kopf!
11 And behold, the man clothed with linen, at whose loins [is] the inkhorn, is bringing back word, saying, “I have done as You have commanded me.”
Es brachte aber der in Linnen Gekleidete, der das Schreibzeug an seiner Seite hatte, Bescheid und sprach: Ich habe gethan, wie du mir befohlen hattest.
