Ezekiel 47
1 And he causes me to turn back to the opening of the house; and behold, water is coming forth from under the threshold of the house eastward, for the front of the house [is] eastward, and the water is coming down from beneath, from the right side of the house, from south of the altar.
II me ramena à l’entrée de l’édifice, et voici que des eaux sortaient de dessous le seuil de l’édifice du côté de l’Est, car le front de l’édifice fait face à l’Est; et ces eaux descendaient en-dessous du côté droit de l’édifice, au Sud de l’autel.
2 And he causes me to go out the way of the gate northward, and causes me to turn around the way outside, to the gate that [is] outside, the way that is looking eastward, and behold, water is coming forth from the right side.
Il me fit sortir par la porte du Nord et me fit tourner par le chemin extérieur jusqu’à la porte extérieure, située dans le chemin qui regarde vers l’Orient, et voici que des eaux coulaient du côté droit de la porte.
3 In the going out of the man eastward—and a line in his hand—then he measures one thousand by the cubit, and he causes me to pass over into the waters—waters [to my] ankles.
Lorsque l’homme fut sorti vers l’Est, tenant un cordeau dans la main, Il mesura mille coudées et me fit traverser l’eau: cette eau venait aux chevilles.
4 And he measures one thousand, and causes me to pass over into the waters—waters [to my] knees. And he measures one thousand, and causes me to pass over—waters [to my] loins.
Il en mesura encore mille et me fit traverser l’eau: celle-ci arrivait aux genoux; il en mesura encore mille et me fit traverser: l’eau allait jusqu’aux reins.
5 And he measures one thousand—a stream that I am not able to pass over; for the waters have risen—waters to swim in—a stream that is not passed over.
Il en mesura encore mille: c’était un torrent que je ne pouvais traverser, car les eaux s’étaient accrues, on y perdait pied: c’était un torrent impossible à traverser.
6 And he says to me, “Have you seen, son of man?” And he leads me, and brings me back to the edge of the stream.
Il me dit: "As-tu vu, fils de l’homme?" Puis, il m’entraîna et me ramena au bord du torrent.
7 In my turning back, then, behold, at the edge of the stream [are] very many trees, on this side and on that side.
Lorsque je revins, voici qu’il y avait sur le bord du torrent un grand nombre d’arbres, des deux côtés.
8 And he says to me, “These waters are going forth to the east circuit, and have gone down to the desert, and have entered the sea; they are brought forth to the sea, and the waters have been healed.
Et il me dit: "Ces eaux se dirigent vers le district oriental, et, après être descendues dans la plaine, elles se jettent dans la mer, dans la mer aux eaux infectes, qui seront ainsi assainies.
9 And it has come to pass, every living creature that teems, wherever the streams come, lives: and there has been great abundance of fish, for these waters have come there, and they are healed; and everything to where the stream comes has lived.
Et alors tous les êtres animés qui y grouillent, partout où arriveront les flots du torrent, ils vivront, et le poisson sera extrêmement abondant; ces eaux une fois venues là, celles de la mer seront assainies, et vivra tout ce qui sera en contact avec le torrent.
10 And it has come to pass, fishers stand by it, from En-Gedi even to En-Eglaim; they are a spreading place for the nets; their fish are of the same kind as the fish of the Great Sea—very many.
Alors les pêcheurs se tiendront sur ses bords, d’En-Ghedi jusqu’à En-Eglaim; il y aura là des étendoirs de filets. Les poissons s’y trouveront, selon leurs espèces, comme les poissons de la Grande Mer, extrêmement nombreux.
11 Its miry and its marshy places—they are not healed; they have been given up to salt.
Cependant ses mares et ses bas-fonds ne seront pas assainis: ils seront destinés à produire du sel.
12 And there comes up by the stream, on its edge, on this side and on that side, every [kind of] fruit-tree whose leaf does not fade, and its fruit is not consumed, it yields first-fruits according to its months, because its waters are coming forth from the sanctuary; and its fruits have been for food, and its leaf for medicine.”
Et, près du torrent, sur ses bords, des deux côtés, s’élèveront toutes sortes d’arbres fruitiers, dont les feuilles ne se flétriront pas et dont les fruits ne s’épuiseront point. Chaque mois, ils donneront de nouveaux fruits, car leurs eaux sortent du sanctuaire: leur fruit servira de nourriture et leurs feuilles de remèdes."
13 Thus said Lord YHWH: “This [is] the border whereby you inherit the land, according to the twelve tribes of Israel; Joseph [has two] portions.
Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu: Voici la délimitation du pays que vous attribuerez en héritage aux douze tribus d’Israël: Joseph aura deux parts.
14 And you have inherited it, one as well as another, in that I have lifted up My hand to give it to your fathers; and this land has fallen to you in inheritance.
Vous en hériterez l’un à l’égal de l’autre, car j’ai juré de le donner à vos pères, et ce pays va vous échoir en partage.
15 And this [is] the border of the land at the north quarter; from the Great Sea, the way of Hethlon, at the coming in to Zedad:
Voici donc les frontières du pays: du côté du Nord, depuis la grande Mer, la route de Hetlôn jusque vers Cedad,
16 Hamath, Berothah, Sibraim, that [is] between the border of Damascus and the border of Hamath; Hazar-Hatticon, that [is] at the coast of Havran.
Hamat, Bérota, Sibraïm, entre la frontière de Damas et la frontière de Hamat; Hacerhatticôn vers la frontière de Havran.
17 And the border from the sea has been Hazar-Enan, the border of Damascus, and Zaphon at the north, and the border of Hamath: and [this is] the north quarter.
La frontière s’étendra donc depuis la mer jusqu’à Haçar-Enon, la frontière de Damas, Çafôn au Nord et la frontière de Hamat: telle sera la limite du côté Nord.
18 And the east quarter [is] from between Havran, and Damascus, and Gilead, and the land of Israel, [to] the Jordan; you measure from the border on the Eastern Sea: and [this is] the east quarter.
La limite du côté de l’Est s’étend entre Havran et Damas, entre Galaad et le pays d’Israël, le long du Jourdain; vous mesurerez depuis la frontière jusqu’à la mer orientale: telle sera la limite du côté Est.
19 And the south quarter southward [is] from Tamar to the waters of Meriboth-Kadesh, the stream to the Great Sea: and [this is] the south quarter southward.
La limite du côté du Sud, au Midi, ira depuis Tamar jusqu’aux eaux de Méribot-Kadêch, le long du torrent jusqu’à la grande Mer: telle sera la limite du côté méridional, au Sud.
20 And the west quarter [is] the Great Sea, from the border until opposite the coming in to Hamath: this [is] the west quarter.
La limite du côté de l’Ouest, ce sera la grande Mer depuis la frontière Sud jusque droit dans la direction de Hamat: telle sera la limite du côté Ouest.
21 And you have divided this land to yourselves, according to the tribes of Israel;
Vous partagerez ce pays entre vous, selon les tribus d’Israël.
22 and it has come to pass, you separate it for an inheritance to yourselves, and to the sojourners who are sojourning in your midst, who have begotten sons in your midst, and they have been to you as native, with the sons of Israel; they are separated with you for an inheritance in the midst of the tribes of Israel.
Et vous aurez à l’attribuer en héritage à vous et aux étrangers séjournant parmi vous, qui auront engendré des enfants parmi vous. Ils seront pour vous—comme l’indigène parmi les enfants d’Israël; avec vous ils participeront à l’héritage au milieu des tribus d’Israël.
23 And it has come to pass, in the tribe with which the sojourner sojourns, there you give his inheritance,” a declaration of Lord YHWH.
Et ce sera dans la tribu même où l’étranger sera domicilié que vous lui donnerez sa part d’héritage, dit le Seigneur Dieu."
