Ezekiel 42
1 And he brings me forth to the outer court, the way northward, and he brings me into the chamber that [is] opposite the separate place, and that [is] opposite the building at the north.
Et il me fit sortir dans le parvis extérieur par le chemin qui va vers le nord; et il m’amena aux cellules qui étaient vis-à-vis de la place séparée, et qui étaient vis-à-vis du bâtiment, vers le nord,
2 At the front of the length [is] one hundred cubits [at] the north opening, and the breadth—fifty cubits.
en face de la longueur, qui était de 100 coudées: l’entrée était au nord; et la largeur était de 50 coudées,
3 Opposite the twenty [cubits] that are of the inner court, and opposite the pavement that [is] of the outer court, [is] gallery [with] face toward gallery, in the three [stories].
vis-à-vis des 20 [coudées] qu’avait le parvis intérieur, et vis-à-vis du pavement qui était au parvis extérieur; il y avait galerie contre galerie, au troisième [étage];
4 And at the front of the chambers [is] a walk of ten cubits in breadth to the inner part, a way of one cubit, and their openings [are] at the north.
et devant les cellules, un passage de dix coudées de largeur; vers l’intérieur, un chemin de 100 coudées; et leurs entrées étaient au nord.
5 And the upper chambers [are] short, for the galleries contain more than these, than the lower, and than the middle one, of the building;
Et les cellules supérieures étaient raccourcies (parce que les galeries en ôtaient [une portion]) en comparaison des inférieures et de celles du milieu du bâtiment.
6 for they [are] threefold, and they have no pillars as the pillars of the court, therefore it has been kept back—more than the lower and than the middle one—from the ground.
Car elles étaient à trois étages, et n’avaient pas de colonnes comme les colonnes des parvis; c’est pourquoi [le troisième étage] était en retraite, en comparaison des [cellules] inférieures et de celles du milieu, depuis le sol.
7 As for the wall that [is] at the outside, alongside the chambers, the way of the outer-court at the front of the chambers, its length [is] fifty cubits;
Et le mur qui était en dehors, le long des cellules, du côté du parvis extérieur, en face des cellules, avait une longueur de 50 coudées.
8 for the length of the chambers that [are] in the outer court [is] fifty cubits, and of those on the front of the temple—one hundred cubits.
Car la longueur des cellules qui [aboutissaient] au parvis extérieur était de 50 coudées; mais voici, en face du temple, elle était de 100 coudées;
9 And under these chambers [is] the entrance from the east, in one’s going into them from the outer court.
et, au-dessous de ces cellules, l’entrée était du côté de l’orient, lorsqu’on y arrivait du parvis extérieur.
10 In the breadth of the wall of the court eastward, to the front of the separate place, and to the front of the building, [are] chambers.
Dans la largeur du mur du parvis, du côté du midi, vis-à-vis de la place séparée et vis-à-vis du bâtiment, il y avait des cellules,
11 And the way before them [is] as the appearance of the chambers that [are] northward, according to their length so [is] their breadth, and all their outlets, and according to their fashions, and according to their openings.
et un passage devant elles, selon la forme des cellules qui étaient du côté du nord, selon leur longueur, selon leur largeur, et [selon] toutes leurs issues, et selon leurs ordonnances, et selon leurs portes d’entrée.
12 And according to the openings of the chambers that [are] southward [is] an opening at the head of the way, the way directly in the front of the wall eastward in entering them.
Et selon les entrées des cellules qui étaient du côté du midi, il y avait une entrée à la tête du chemin, [du] chemin [qui était] en face du mur correspondant, chemin venant de l’orient, quand on venait vers les [cellules].
13 And he says to me, “The north chambers, the south chambers, that [are] at the front of the separate place, they [are] holy chambers, where the priests (who [are] near to YHWH) eat the most holy things, there they place the most holy things, and the present, and the sin-offering, and the guilt-offering, for the place [is] holy.
Et il me dit: Les cellules du nord [et] les cellules du midi, qui sont en face de la place séparée, ce sont des cellules saintes où les sacrificateurs qui s’approchent de l’Éternel mangeront les choses très saintes; ils déposeront là les choses très saintes: l’offrande de gâteau, et le sacrifice pour le péché, et le sacrifice pour le délit, car le lieu est saint.
14 In the priests’ going in, they do not come out from the sanctuary to the outer court, and there they place their garments with which they minister, for they [are] holy, and have put on other garments, and have drawn near to that which [is] for the people.”
Quand les sacrificateurs seront entrés, ils ne sortiront pas du lieu saint dans le parvis extérieur; mais ils déposeront là leurs vêtements dans lesquels ils font le service, car ils sont saints; et ils revêtiront d’autres vêtements, et s’approcheront de ce qui est pour le peuple.
15 And he has finished the measurements of the inner house, and has brought me forth the way of the gate whose front [is] eastward, and he has measured it all around.
Et quand il eut achevé de mesurer la maison intérieure, il me fit sortir par le chemin de la porte qui regardait vers l’orient; et il mesura [l’enceinte] tout autour.
16 He has measured the east side with the measuring-reed, five hundred reeds, with the measuring-reed all around.
Il mesura le côté oriental avec la canne à mesurer: 500 cannes, avec la canne à mesurer, tout autour.
17 He has measured the north side, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed all around.
Il mesura le côté septentrional: 500 cannes, avec la canne à mesurer, [tout] autour.
18 The south side he has measured, five hundred reeds, with the measuring-reed.
Il mesura le côté méridional: 500 cannes, avec la canne à mesurer.
19 He has turned around to the west side, he has measured five hundred reeds with the measuring-reed.
Il se tourna vers le côté occidental, [et] mesura 500 cannes avec la canne à mesurer.
20 At the four sides he has measured it; it had a wall all around, the length—five hundred, and the breadth—five hundred, to separate between the holy and the profane place.
Il la mesura des quatre côtés. Elle avait un mur tout à l’entour: la longueur, 500, et la largeur, 500, pour séparer ce qui était saint et ce qui était profane.
