Ezekiel 40
1 In the twenty-fifth year of our removal, in the beginning of the year, on the tenth of the month, in the fourteenth year after which the city was struck, on this very same day a hand of YHWH has been on me, and He brings me in there;
Im Jahre fünfundzwanzig unserer Verbannung, am Anfang dieses Jahres, am zehnten Tag des Monats im Jahre vierzehn nach Eroberung der Stadt, an eben diesem Tage senkte sich die Hand des Herrn auf mich und brachte mich dorthin.
2 in visions of God He has brought me into the land of Israel, and causes me to rest on a very high mountain, and on it [is] as the frame of a city from the south.
In göttlichen Gesichten bringt er mich zum Lande Israel und setzt mich hier auf einem hohen Berge nieder. Dem gegenüber war etwas wie einer Stadt Gebäulichkeiten.
3 And He brings me in there, and behold, a man, his appearance as the appearance of bronze, and a thread of flax in his hand, and a measuring-reed, and he is standing at the gate,
Sobald er mich dorthin gebracht, da zeigte sich ein Mann, der aussah wie aus Erz. Er hatte eine Linnenschnur und einen Maßstab in der Hand und stand am Tor.
4 and the man speaks to me: “Son of man, see with your eyes, And hear with your ears, And set your heart to all that I am showing you, For in order to show [it] you, You have been brought in here, Declare all that you are seeing to the house of Israel.”
Es sprach der Mann zu mir: "Sieh, Menschensohn, mit deinen Augen! Und hör mit deinen Ohren, gib auf alles acht, was ich dir zeige! Denn hierher wurdest du gebracht, daß ich dir alles zeigen sollte. Verkünde alles, was du siehst, dem Hause Israel!"
5 And behold, a wall all around on the outside of the house, and a measuring-reed in the hand of the man, six cubits by a cubit and a handbreadth, and he measures the breadth of the building—one reed, and the height—one reed.
Nun lief da außerhalb des Hauses eine Mauer ringsherum, und in der Hand des Mannes war ein Maßstab von sechs Ellen, zu einer Elle und noch einer Handbreite gerechnet. Er maß des Baues Breite: eine Rute; die Höhe: eine Rute.
6 And he comes to the gate whose front [is] eastward, and he goes up by its steps, and he measures the threshold of the gate—one reed broad, even one threshold—one reed broad,
Dann trat er in das Tor, das gegen Osten sah, und stieg hinan auf seinen Stufen und maß des Tores Schwelle, in der Breite: eine Rute, die andere Schwelle gleichfalls eine Rute in der Breite.
7 and the little chamber—one reed long and one reed broad, and between the little chambers—five cubits, and the threshold of the gate, from the side of the porch of the gate from within—one reed.
Und jegliches Gemach war eine Rute lang und eine Rute breit, und zwischen den Gemächern betrug der Zwischenraum fünf Ellen. Kam noch des Tores Schwelle an der innern Torhalle mit einer Rute.
8 And he measures the porch of the gate from within—one reed,
Er maß des Tores innere Lichtweite mit einer Rute.
9 and he measures the porch of the gate—eight cubits, and its posts—two cubits, and the porch of the gates from within,
Die Torweite dagegen maß er mit acht Ellen. Es waren nämlich seine Wandpfeiler zwei Ellen dick, desgleichen an der innere Torweite.
10 and the little chambers of the gate eastward, three on this side and three on that side; the three of them—one measure, and the posts—one measure, on this side and on that side.
Und die Gemächer an dem Tore gegen Osten waren drei auf der einen und drei auf der andern Seite. Die drei besaßen gleiches Maß, desgleichen beiderseits die Wandpfeiler.
11 And he measures the breadth of the opening of the gate—ten cubits, the length of the gate—thirteen cubits;
Er maß die Breite von der Torweite: zehn Ellen; die Torlänge: dreizehn Ellen.
12 and a border before the little chambers—one cubit, and one cubit [is] the border on this side, and the little chamber—six cubits on this side, and six cubits on that side.
Ein freier Raum von einer Elle war vor den Kammern, auf dieser und auf jener Seite. Sechs Ellen hatte jede Kammer auf dieser und auf jener Seite.
13 And he measures the gate from the roof of the [one] little chamber to the roof of another; the breadth—twenty-five cubits, opening opposite opening.
Er maß das Tor vom Dach der einen Kammer bis zu dem der andern, an fünfundzwanzig Ellen breit; Durchgang stand Durchgang gegenüber.
14 And he makes the posts of sixty cubits, even to the post of the court, the gate all around;
Die Säulen machten sechzig Ellen, den Vorsprung an den Säulen eingerechnet. So war ein jedes Tor ringsum.
15 and by the front of the gate of the entrance, by the front of the porch of the inner gate—fifty cubits;
Vom Torgiebel bis zu der innern Torweite betrug es fünfzig Ellen.
16 and narrow windows [are] in the little chambers, and in their posts on the inside of the gate all around—and so to the arches—and windows all around on the inside, and palm-trees [are] on the post.
Schräg gingen Gitterfenster in die Kammern und auch zu ihren Säulen im Inneren des Tores an allen Seiten. So hatten auch die Vorhallen ringsum nach innen Fenster, und an den Pfeilern waren Palmen.
17 And he brings me into the outer court, and behold, chambers and a pavement made for the court all around—thirty chambers on the pavement—
Er brachte mich zum innern Vorhof hin; da waren Zellen. Der Vorhof war ringsum gepflastert und dreißig Zellen an dem Pflaster.
18 and the pavement to the side of the gates, corresponding to the length of the gates, [is] the lower pavement;
Das Pflaster lief zwar nach der Seite der Tore hin; doch war das Pflaster längs der Tore etwas niedriger.
19 and he measures the breadth from before the lower gate, to the front of the inner court, on the outside—one hundred cubits, eastward and northward.
Er maß die Breite von dem untern Tor bis an die äußre Wand des innern Hofes; hundert Ellen gegen Osten und gegen Norden.
20 As for the gate of the outer court whose front [is] northward, he has measured its length and its breadth;
Vom Tor, das gegen Mitternacht des äußern Vorhofs lag, maß er die Länge und die Breite.
21 and its little chambers, three on this side and three on that side, and its posts and its arches have been according to the measure of the first gate, its length [is] fifty cubits, and breadth [is] twenty-five by the cubit;
Drei Kammern hatte es, drei hüben und drei drüben, und seine Pfeiler, seine Bogen besaßen ganz genau das Maß des erstgenannten Tores. An fünfzig Ellen war es lang und fünfundzwanzig Ellen breit.
22 and its windows, and its arches, and its palm-trees [are] according to the measure of the gate whose face [is] eastward, and they go up on it by seven steps, and its arches [are] before them.
Und seine Fenster, seine Bogen und seine Palmen waren wie beim Tor, das gegen Osten lag. Auf sieben Stufen stieg man zu ihm auf; vor diesen war ein Bogen.
23 And the gate of the inner court [is] opposite the gate at the north and at the east; and he measures from gate to gate—one hundred cubits.
Es gingen Tore in den innern Hof, die gleich den Toren gegen Mitternacht und Morgen waren. Er maß von Tor zu Tor: einhundert Ellen.
24 And he causes me to go southward, and behold, a gate southward, and he has measured its posts and its arches according to these measurements;
Er brachte gegen Süden mich; da fand ich südlich auch ein Tor. Er maß die Pfeiler und die Bogen; sie hatten ganz das gleiche Maß.
25 and windows [are] in it and in its arches all around, like these windows, the length—fifty cubits, and the breadth—twenty-five cubits;
Und Fenster hatte es ringsum, gerade wie die Bogen, gleich jenen Fenstern. Es war auch fünfzig Ellen lang und fünfundzwanzig Ellen breit.
26 and seven steps [are] its ascent, and its arches [are] before them, and palm-trees [are] in it, one on this side and one on that side, on its posts;
Auf sieben Stufen stieg man zu ihm auf; vor diesen war ein Bogen. Als Pfeiler dienten Palmen auf dieser und auf jener Seite.
27 and the gate of the inner court [is] southward, and he measures from gate to gate southward, one hundred cubits.
Ein Tor zum innern Hof lag gegen Süden; er maß von Tor zu Tor nach Süden hundert Ellen.
28 And he brings me into the inner court by the south gate, and he measures the south gate according to these measurements;
Durch dieses Südtor brachte er mich zu dem innern Hof. Er maß das Tor; es waren wiederum die gleichen Maße.
29 and its little chambers, and its posts, and its arches [are] according to these measurements, and windows [are] in it and in its arches all around; the length—fifty cubits, and the breadth—twenty-five cubits.
Auch seine Kammern, Pfeiler, Bogen besaßen gleiches Maß. Es hatte Fenster ringsherum, war fünfzig Ellen lang und fünfundzwanzig Ellen breit.
30 As for the arches all around, the length—twenty-five cubits, and the breadth—five cubits;
Und Bogen waren ringsherum, an fünfundzwanzig Ellen lang, fünf Ellen breit.
31 and its arches [are] toward the outer court, and palm-trees [are] on its posts, and eight steps [are] its ascent.
Sein Bogen ging dem äußern Vorhof zu, und Palmen waren seine Pfeiler. Acht Stufen stieg man zu ihm auf.
32 And he brings me into the inner court eastward, and he measures the gate according to these measurements;
Er brachte mich zum innern Vorhof gegen Osten und maß das Tor: die gleichen Maße.
33 and its little chambers, and its posts, and its arches [are] according to these measurements: and windows [are] in it and in its arches all around, the length—fifty cubits, and the breadth—twenty-five cubits;
Und seine Kammern, Pfeiler, Bogen besaßen gleiches Maß. Es hatte Fenster ringsherum, gerade wie sein Bogen, war fünfzig Ellen lang und fünfundzwanzig Ellen breit.
34 and its arches [are] toward the outer court, and palm-trees [are] toward its posts, on this side and on that side, and eight steps [are] its ascent.
Sein Bogen zog sich nach dem äußeren Vorhof hin, und seine Pfeiler waren palmenförmig auf beiden Seiten. Auf acht Stufen stieg man empor.
35 And he brings me into the north gate, and has measured according to these measurements;
Er führte mich zum Tore gegen Mitternacht und maß das gleiche Maß.
36 its little chambers, its posts, and its arches; and windows [are] in it all around: the length—fifty cubits, and the breadth—twenty-five cubits;
Es hatte Kammern, Pfeiler, Bogen; es hatte Fenster ringsherum, war fünfzig Ellen lang und fünfundzwanzig Ellen breit.
37 and its posts [are] toward the outer court, and palm-trees [are] on its posts, on this side and on that side, and eight steps [are] its ascent.
Sein Säulengang zog sich zum äußern Vorhof hin, und seine Pfeiler waren palmenförmig auf beiden Seiten. Auf acht Stufen stieg man.
38 And the chamber and its opening [is] by the posts of the gates, there they purge the burnt-offering.
Dann gab es eine Zelle, und ihre Tür war in den Torsäulen. Man wusch darin das Brandopfer.
39 And in the porch of the gate [are] two tables on this side and two tables on that side, to slaughter on them the burnt-offering, and the sin-offering, and the guilt-offering;
Und in des Tores Lichtweite auf beiden Seiten waren jedesmal zwei Tische aufgestellt, um Brand- und Sünd- und Schuldopfer darauf zu schlachten.
40 and at the side without, at the going up to the opening of the north gate, [are] two tables; and at the other side that [is] at the porch of the gate, [are] two tables;
Und außerhalb, wo man hinaufgeht zu der Tür des Tores gegen Mitternacht, da standen ebenfalls zwei Tische und andere zwei Tische auf der andern Seite der Lichtweite des Tores.
41 four tables [are] on this side and four tables on that side, at the side of the gate, eight tables on which they slaughter.
Auf dieser Seite vier Tische, vier auf jener Seite bei dem Tor, acht Tische. Auf ihnen sollte man die Opfer schlachten.
42 And the four tables for burnt-offering [are] of hewn stone: the length—one cubit and a half, and the breadth—one cubit and a half, and the height—one cubit; they place on them the instruments with which they slaughter the burnt-offering and the sacrifice.
Die vier Brandopfertische waren aus behauenen Steinen, an ein und eine halbe Elle lang und breit und eine Elle hoch, auf die man die Geräte niederlegte, mit denen man das Brand- und Schlachtopfer schlachtete.
43 And the boundaries [are] one handbreadth, prepared within all around: and the flesh of the offering [is] on the tables.
Handbreite Doppelhaken waren innen ringsum angebracht zum Aufhängen des Opferfleischs und der Geräte, mit denen man das Brand- und Schlachtopfer schlachtete.
44 And on the outside of the inner gate [are] chambers of the singers, in the inner court, that [are] at the side of the north gate, and their fronts [are] southward, one at the side of the east gate [with] front northward.
Und außerhalb des innern Tores waren Zellen für die Sänger in dem innern Hof, die eine an der Seite des Nordtores, die gegen Süden sah, die andre an der Seite des Osttores, die gegen Norden sah.
45 And he speaks to me: “This chamber, whose front [is] southward, [is] for priests keeping charge of the house;
Er sprach zu mir: "Die Zelle, die nach Süden schaut, gehört den Priestern, die den Tempeldienst verrichten.
46 and the chamber, whose front [is] northward, [is] for priests keeping charge of the altar: they [are] sons of Zadok, who are drawing near of the sons of Levi to YHWH, to serve Him.”
Die Zelle, die nach Norden schaut, gehört den Priestern, die Altardienste versehen. Dies sind die Sadoksöhne, die von den Levisöhnen bei dem Herrn das Vorrecht haben, ihn zu bedienen.
47 And he measures the court: the length—one hundred cubits, and the breadth—one hundred cubits, square, and the altar [is] before the house.
Er maß den Vorhof: hundert Ellen lang und hundert Ellen breit, ein Viereck; doch vor dem Haus war der Altar.
48 And he brings me to the porch of the house, and he measures the post of the porch—five cubits on this side and five cubits on that side, and the breadth of the gate—three cubits on this side and three cubits on that side;
Er brachte mich zur Toröffnung des Hauses und maß die Pfeiler der Öffnung, fünf Ellen hüben und fünf Ellen drüben, drei Ellen hier, drei Ellen dort.
49 the length of the porch—twenty cubits, and the breadth—eleven [[or twelve]] cubits; and they go up to it by the [[ten]] steps. And pillars [are] by the posts, one on this side and one on that side.
Der Öffnung Breite waren zwanzig Ellen, elf Ellen seine Tiefe. Man stieg hinan auf Stufen. Auch waren Säulen an den Pfeilern, die eine hüben und die andre drüben.
