Ezekiel 38
1 And there is a word of YHWH to me, saying,
Neno la Bwana likanijia kusema:
2 “Son of man, set your face toward Gog, of the land of Magog, chief prince of [[or prince of Rosh, ]] Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy concerning him,
“Mwanadamu, kaza uso wako dhidi ya Gogu, katika nchi ya Magogu, mkuu wa Roshi, Mesheki na Tubali, tabiri dhidi yake
3 and you have said, Thus says Lord YHWH: Behold, I [am] against you, O Gog, Chief prince of [[or prince of Rosh, ]] Meshech and Tubal,
na useme: ‘Hili ndilo Bwana Mwenyezi asemalo: Ee Gogu, mimi ni kinyume nawe, mtawala mkuu wa Roshi, Mesheki na Tubali.
4 And I have turned you back, And I have put hooks in your jaws, And have brought you out, and all your force, Horses and horsemen, All of them clothed in perfection, A numerous assembly, [with] buckler and shield, All of them handling swords.
Nitakugeuza kuelekea ulikotoka na kukutia ndoana kwenye mataya yako na kukutoa nje wewe pamoja na jeshi lako lote, yaani, farasi wako, wapanda farasi wako waliojiandaa tayari kwa vita, pamoja na kundi kubwa la wajeuri wakiwa na ngao na vigao, wote wakipunga panga zao.
5 Persia, Cush, and Phut, with them, All of them [with] shield and helmet.
Uajemi, Kushi na Putu watakuwa pamoja nao, wote wakiwa na ngao na kofia za chuma,
6 Gomer and all its bands, The house of Togarmah [from] the sides of the north, And all its bands, many peoples with you,
pia Gomeri pamoja na vikosi vyake vyote, na Beth-Togarma kutoka kaskazini ya mbali pamoja na vikosi vyake vyote, mataifa mengi wakiwa pamoja nawe.
7 Be prepared, indeed, prepare yourself, You and all your assemblies who are assembled to you, And you have been for a watch for them.
“‘Jiandae, uwe tayari, wewe na makundi yako yote ya wajeuri yaliyokusanyika pamoja nawe, nawe waamrishe.
8 After many days you are appointed, In the latter end of the years you come into a land brought back from sword—Gathered out of many peoples, On mountains of Israel, That have been for a continuous ruin, And it has been brought out from the peoples, And all of them have dwelt safely.
Baada ya siku nyingi utaitwa vitani. Katika miaka ijayo, utaivamia nchi ile ambayo imepona kutoka vita, ambayo watu wake walikusanywa kutoka mataifa mengi kuja katika milima ya Israeli, ambayo kwa muda mrefu ilikuwa imeachwa ukiwa. Wameletwa kutoka mataifa na sasa wote wanaishi katika hali ya salama.
9 And you have gone up—you come in as desolation, You are as a cloud to cover the land, You and all your bands, and many peoples with you.
Wewe na vikosi vyako vyote na mataifa mengi yaliyo pamoja nawe mtapanda juu, mtawazoa kama tufani na kuifunika nchi kama wingu.
10 Thus said Lord YHWH: And it has come to pass in that day, Things come up on your heart, And you have thought an evil thought,
“‘Hili ndilo Bwana Mwenyezi asemalo: Katika siku ile mawazo yataingia moyoni mwako nawe utapanga mipango mibaya.
11 And you have said: I go up over a land of open places, I go to those at rest, dwelling confidently, All of them are dwelling without walls, And they have no bar and doors—
Utasema, “Nitapigana vita na nchi ambayo vijiji vyake havina maboma. Nitawashambulia watu wanaoishi kwa amani na wasiotarajia vita: wote wanaishi bila maboma na bila malango na makomeo.
12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey, To turn back your hand on inhabited ruins, And on a people gathered out of nations, Making livestock and substance, Dwelling on a high part of the land.
Nitateka mateka na kuchukua nyara mali za wale waliorudi kuishi katika mahame na wale watu waliokusanywa kutoka kwa mataifa, ambao sasa wana mifugo na mali nyingi, wanaoishi katikati ya nchi.”
13 Sheba, and Dedan, and merchants of Tarshish, And all its young lions say to you, Are you coming to take spoil? Have you assembled your assembly to take prey? To carry away silver and gold? To take away livestock and substance? To take a great spoil?
Sheba na Dedani pamoja na wafanyabiashara wa Tarshishi na vijiji vyake vyote watakuambia, “Je, umekuja kuteka mateka? Je, umekusanya makundi yako ya wajeuri ili kuchukua nyara mali, kutwaa fedha na dhahabu, kutunyangʼanya mifugo na mali na kuteka nyara nyingi zaidi?”’
14 Therefore, prophesy, son of man, and you have said to Gog, Thus said Lord YHWH: In that day, in the dwelling of My people Israel safely, Do you not know?
“Kwa hiyo, mwanadamu, tabiri na umwambie Gogu: ‘Hili ndilo Bwana Mwenyezi asemalo: Katika siku ile, watu wangu Israeli watakapokuwa wanaishi salama, Je, wewe mwenyewe hutalijua hilo?
15 And you have come in out of your place, From the sides of the north, You and many peoples with you, Riding on horses—all of them, A great assembly, and a numerous force.
Utakuja kutoka kwako huko kaskazini ya mbali, ukiwa pamoja na mataifa mengi, wote wakiwa wamepanda farasi, kundi kubwa, jeshi kuu.
16 And you have come up against My people Israel, As a cloud to cover the land, It is in the latter end of the days, And I have brought you in against My land, In order that the nations may know Me, In My being sanctified in you before their eyes, O Gog.
Utakuja dhidi ya watu wangu Israeli kama wingu lifunikavyo nchi. Siku zijazo, ee Gogu, nitakuleta wewe dhidi ya nchi yangu, ili kwamba mataifa wapate kunijua Mimi nitakapojionyesha mtakatifu kwa kukupitia wewe mbele ya macho yao.
17 Thus said Lord YHWH: Are you he of whom I spoke in former days, By the hand of My servants, prophets of Israel, Who were prophesying [for] years in those days, To bring you in against them?
“‘Hili ndilo Bwana Mwenyezi asemalo: Je, wewe si yule niliyenena juu yako katika siku za zamani kwa kupitia kwa watumishi wangu manabii wa Israeli? Wakati ule walitabiri kwa miaka mingi kwamba ningekuleta upigane nao.
18 And it has come to pass in that day, In the day of the coming in of Gog against the land of Israel, A declaration of Lord YHWH, My fury comes up in My face,
Hili ndilo litakalotokea katika siku ile: Gogu atakaposhambulia nchi ya Israeli, hasira yangu kali itaamka, asema Bwana Mwenyezi.
19 And in My zeal, in the fire of My wrath, I have spoken: Is there not a great rushing on the land of Israel in that day?
Katika wivu wangu na ghadhabu yangu kali ninasema kuwa wakati ule patakuwepo tetemeko kuu katika nchi ya Israeli.
20 And rushed from My presence have fishes of the sea, And the bird of the heavens, And the beast of the field, And every creeping thing that is creeping on the ground, And all men who [are] on the face of the ground, And the mountains have been thrown down, And the ascents have fallen, And every wall falls to the earth.
Samaki wa baharini, ndege wa angani, wanyama wa kondeni, kila kiumbe kitambaacho ardhini, na watu wote walio juu ya uso wa nchi watatetemeka mbele zangu. Milima itapinduka, majabali yatapasuka na kila ukuta utaanguka chini.
21 And I have called for a sword against him throughout all My mountains, A declaration of Lord YHWH, The sword of each is against his brother.
Nitaita upanga vita dhidi ya Gogu juu ya milima yangu yote, asema Bwana Mwenyezi. Upanga wa kila mtu utakuwa dhidi ya ndugu yake.
22 And I have judged him with pestilence and with blood, And an overflowing rain and hailstones, I rain fire and brimstone on him, and on his bands, And on many peoples who [are] with him.
Nitatekeleza hukumu juu yake kwa tauni na kwa umwagaji wa damu. Nitaifanya mvua ya mafuriko kunyesha, mvua ya mawe na moto wa kiberiti juu yake na juu ya vikosi vyake na juu ya mataifa mengi walio pamoja naye.
23 And I have magnified Myself, and sanctified Myself, And I have been known before the eyes of many nations, And they have known that I [am] YHWH!”
Nami hivyo ndivyo nitakavyoonyesha ukuu wangu na utakatifu wangu, nami nitajijulisha mbele ya macho ya mataifa mengi. Ndipo watakapojua kuwa Mimi ndimi Bwana.’
