Ezekiel 38
1 And there is a word of YHWH to me, saying,
És lett hozzám az Örökkévaló igéje, mondván:
2 “Son of man, set your face toward Gog, of the land of Magog, chief prince of [[or prince of Rosh, ]] Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy concerning him,
Ember fia, fordítsd arczodat Góg ellen Mágóg országában, Mésekh és Túbál legfőbb fejedelme ellen és prófétálj róla.
3 and you have said, Thus says Lord YHWH: Behold, I [am] against you, O Gog, Chief prince of [[or prince of Rosh, ]] Meshech and Tubal,
És szólj: így szól az Úr, az Örökkévaló, íme én ellened fordulok Góg, te Mésekh és Túbál legfőbb fejedelme.
4 And I have turned you back, And I have put hooks in your jaws, And have brought you out, and all your force, Horses and horsemen, All of them clothed in perfection, A numerous assembly, [with] buckler and shield, All of them handling swords.
És eltérítlek és karikákat vetek állkapcsaidba és kivezetlek téged és egész hadseregedet, lovakat és lovasokat, teljes díszbe öltözve mindannyian, nagy gyülekezet vérttel és paizszsal, kardot fogók mindannyian.
5 Persia, Cush, and Phut, with them, All of them [with] shield and helmet.
Párasz, Kús és Pút velük, valamennyien paizszsal és sisakkal.
6 Gomer and all its bands, The house of Togarmah [from] the sides of the north, And all its bands, many peoples with you,
Gómer és mind a csapatjai, Tógarma háza az észak hátulján, mind a csapatjaival, sok népek veled.
7 Be prepared, indeed, prepare yourself, You and all your assemblies who are assembled to you, And you have been for a watch for them.
Készülj és készülődjél te és egész gyülekezeted, a hozzád gyülekezettek, és légy nekik őrizetül.
8 After many days you are appointed, In the latter end of the years you come into a land brought back from sword—Gathered out of many peoples, On mountains of Israel, That have been for a continuous ruin, And it has been brought out from the peoples, And all of them have dwelt safely.
Sok nap múlva ki fogsz rendeltetni, az évek végén bejössz egy kardtól visszatérített, sok nép közül összegyűjtött országba, Izraél hegyeire, amelyek mindig pusztulássá lettek; de ő kihozatott a népek közül és laknak biztonságban mindnyájan.
9 And you have gone up—you come in as desolation, You are as a cloud to cover the land, You and all your bands, and many peoples with you.
Fel fogsz vonulni, mint a vihar jössz be, mint a felhő leszel, beborítva a földet, te és mind a csapatjaid és sok népek teveled.
10 Thus said Lord YHWH: And it has come to pass in that day, Things come up on your heart, And you have thought an evil thought,
Így szól az Úr, az Örökkévaló: És lészen azon napon, dolgok jutnak eszedbe és rossz gondolatot fogsz gondolni;
11 And you have said: I go up over a land of open places, I go to those at rest, dwelling confidently, All of them are dwelling without walls, And they have no bar and doors—
azt mondod; fölvonulok nyit helyek országa ellen, jövök a nyugodtakra, a biztonságban lakókra; mindnyájan fal nélkül laknak, reteszük és kapujuk nincsenek nekik.
12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey, To turn back your hand on inhabited ruins, And on a people gathered out of nations, Making livestock and substance, Dwelling on a high part of the land.
Hogy zsákmányolj zsákmányt és prédálj prédát, hogy ráfordítsad kezedet a lakottá lett romokra és a nemzetek közül egybegyűjtött népre, a mely jószágot és birtokot szerzett, a kik laknak a föld köldökén.
13 Sheba, and Dedan, and merchants of Tarshish, And all its young lions say to you, Are you coming to take spoil? Have you assembled your assembly to take prey? To carry away silver and gold? To take away livestock and substance? To take a great spoil?
Sába és Dedán és Tarsís kereskedői és mind az oroszlánjai azt mondják majd neked: Vajon zsákmányt zsákmányolni jössz-e, prédát prédálni gyülekeztetted-e egybe gyülekezetedet; hogy elvigyél ezüstöt és aranyat, hogy elvégy jószágot és birtokot, hogy nagy zsákmányt zsákmányolj?
14 Therefore, prophesy, son of man, and you have said to Gog, Thus said Lord YHWH: In that day, in the dwelling of My people Israel safely, Do you not know?
Azért prófétálj ember fia és mondjad Gógnak: Így szól az Úr, az Örökkévaló: Nemde ama napon, midőn biztonságban fog lakni Izraél népem, megtudod,
15 And you have come in out of your place, From the sides of the north, You and many peoples with you, Riding on horses—all of them, A great assembly, and a numerous force.
eljössz helyedről, az észak hátuljáról, te és sok nép veled, lovon ülők mindnyájan, nagy gyülekezet és számos sereg.
16 And you have come up against My people Israel, As a cloud to cover the land, It is in the latter end of the days, And I have brought you in against My land, In order that the nations may know Me, In My being sanctified in you before their eyes, O Gog.
Felvonulsz Izraél népem ellen mint a felhő, beborítva a földet; a napok végén lesz az, hogy ráhozlak országomra, azért hogy megismerjenek engem a nemzetek, midőn szentnek bizonyulok rajtad szemeik láttára, oh Góg.
17 Thus said Lord YHWH: Are you he of whom I spoke in former days, By the hand of My servants, prophets of Israel, Who were prophesying [for] years in those days, To bring you in against them?
Így szól az Úr, az Örőkkévaló: Te vagy-e az, kiről régi napokban beszéltem szolgáim, Izraél prófétái által, a kik ama napokban éveken át ptófétáltak, hogy elhozlak téged reájuk.
18 And it has come to pass in that day, In the day of the coming in of Gog against the land of Israel, A declaration of Lord YHWH, My fury comes up in My face,
És lészen ama napon, a mely napon eljön Góg Izraél földjére, úgymond az Úr, az Örökkévaló, föl fog szállani hevem orromban.
19 And in My zeal, in the fire of My wrath, I have spoken: Is there not a great rushing on the land of Israel in that day?
És buzgalmamban, felindulásom tüzében beszéltem, bizony ama napon nagy földrengés lesz Izraél földjén.
20 And rushed from My presence have fishes of the sea, And the bird of the heavens, And the beast of the field, And every creeping thing that is creeping on the ground, And all men who [are] on the face of the ground, And the mountains have been thrown down, And the ascents have fallen, And every wall falls to the earth.
És megrendülnek előttem a tenger halai, az ég madara és a mező vadja és minden csúszó-mászó, mely a földön mászik, meg minden ember, ki a föld színén van; és leromboltatnak a hegyek és ledőlnek a fokozatos lejtők és minden fal a földre dől.
21 And I have called for a sword against him throughout all My mountains, A declaration of Lord YHWH, The sword of each is against his brother.
És szólítok ellene minden hegyeimre kardot, úgymond az Úr, az Örökkévaló, kinek-kinek kardja testvére ellen lesz.
22 And I have judged him with pestilence and with blood, And an overflowing rain and hailstones, I rain fire and brimstone on him, and on his bands, And on many peoples who [are] with him.
És ítéletre szállok vele dögvésszel és vérrel, áradó esőt és jégeső köveit, tüzet és ként hullatok reá és csapatjaira és a vele levő sok népre.
23 And I have magnified Myself, and sanctified Myself, And I have been known before the eyes of many nations, And they have known that I [am] YHWH!”
És nagynak és szentnek bizonyulok és megismertetem magamat sok nemzet szeme láttára; és megtudják, hogy én vagyok az Örökkévaló.
