Ezekiel 38
1 And there is a word of YHWH to me, saying,
HERRENS Ord kom til mig saaledes:
2 “Son of man, set your face toward Gog, of the land of Magog, chief prince of [[or prince of Rosh, ]] Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy concerning him,
Menneskesøn, vend dit Ansigt mod Gog i Magogs Land, Fyrsten over Rosj, Mesjek og Tubal, og profeter imod ham
3 and you have said, Thus says Lord YHWH: Behold, I [am] against you, O Gog, Chief prince of [[or prince of Rosh, ]] Meshech and Tubal,
og sig: Saa siger den Herre HERREN: Se, jeg kommer over dig, Gog, Fyrste over Rosj, Mesjek og Tubal.
4 And I have turned you back, And I have put hooks in your jaws, And have brought you out, and all your force, Horses and horsemen, All of them clothed in perfection, A numerous assembly, [with] buckler and shield, All of them handling swords.
Jeg vender dig og sætter Kroge i dine Kæber og trækker dig frem med hele din Hær, Heste og Ryttere, alle i smukke Klæder, en vældig Skare med store og smaa Skjolde, alle med Sværd i Haand.
5 Persia, Cush, and Phut, with them, All of them [with] shield and helmet.
Persere, Ætiopere og Putæere er med dem, alle med Skjold og Hjelm,
6 Gomer and all its bands, The house of Togarmah [from] the sides of the north, And all its bands, many peoples with you,
Gomer med alle dets Hobe, Togarmas Hus fra det yderste Nord med alle dets Hobe, mange Folkeslag er med.
7 Be prepared, indeed, prepare yourself, You and all your assemblies who are assembled to you, And you have been for a watch for them.
Rust dig og hold dig rede med hele din Skare, som er samlet om dig, og vær mig rede til Tjeneste.
8 After many days you are appointed, In the latter end of the years you come into a land brought back from sword—Gathered out of many peoples, On mountains of Israel, That have been for a continuous ruin, And it has been brought out from the peoples, And all of them have dwelt safely.
Lang Tid herefter skal der komme Bud efter dig; ved Aarenes Fjende skal du overfalde et Land, som atter er unddraget Sværdet, et Folk, som fra mange Folkeslag er sanket sammen paa Israels Bjerge, der stadig laa øde hen, et Folk, som er ført bort fra Folkeslagene og nu bor trygt til Hobe.
9 And you have gone up—you come in as desolation, You are as a cloud to cover the land, You and all your bands, and many peoples with you.
Du skal trække op som et Uvejr og komme som en Sky og oversvømme Landet, du og alle dine Hobe og de mange Folkeslag, som følger dig.
10 Thus said Lord YHWH: And it has come to pass in that day, Things come up on your heart, And you have thought an evil thought,
Saa siger den Herre HERREN: Paa hin Dag skal en Tanke stige op i dit Hjerte, og du skal oplægge onde Raad
11 And you have said: I go up over a land of open places, I go to those at rest, dwelling confidently, All of them are dwelling without walls, And they have no bar and doors—
og sige: »Jeg vil drage op imod et aabent Land og overfalde fredelige Folk, som bor trygt, som alle bor uden Mure og hverken har Portstænger eller Porte,
12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey, To turn back your hand on inhabited ruins, And on a people gathered out of nations, Making livestock and substance, Dwelling on a high part of the land.
for at gøre Bytte og røve Rov, lægge Haand paa genopbyggede Ruiner og paa et Folk, der er indsamlet fra Folkene og vinder sig Fæ og Gods, og som bor paa Jordens Navle.«
13 Sheba, and Dedan, and merchants of Tarshish, And all its young lions say to you, Are you coming to take spoil? Have you assembled your assembly to take prey? To carry away silver and gold? To take away livestock and substance? To take a great spoil?
Sabæerne og Dedaniterne, Tarsis's Købmænd og alle dets Handelsfolk skal sige til dig: »Kommer du for at gøre Bytte, har du samlet din Skare for at røve Rov, for at bortføre Sølv og Guld, rane Fæ og Gods og gøre et vældigt Bytte?«
14 Therefore, prophesy, son of man, and you have said to Gog, Thus said Lord YHWH: In that day, in the dwelling of My people Israel safely, Do you not know?
Profetér derfor, Menneskesøn, og sig til Gog: Saa siger den Herre HERREN: Ja, paa hin Dag skal du bryde op, medens mit Folk Israel bor trygt,
15 And you have come in out of your place, From the sides of the north, You and many peoples with you, Riding on horses—all of them, A great assembly, and a numerous force.
og komme fra din Hjemstavn yderst i Nord, du og de mange Folkeslag, der følger dig, alle til Hest, en stor Skare, en vældig Hær;
16 And you have come up against My people Israel, As a cloud to cover the land, It is in the latter end of the days, And I have brought you in against My land, In order that the nations may know Me, In My being sanctified in you before their eyes, O Gog.
som en Sky skal du drage op mod mit Folk Israel og oversvømme Landet. I de sidste Dage skal det ske; jeg fører dig imod mit Land; og Folkene skal kende mig, naar jeg for deres Øjne helliger mig paa dig, Gog.
17 Thus said Lord YHWH: Are you he of whom I spoke in former days, By the hand of My servants, prophets of Israel, Who were prophesying [for] years in those days, To bring you in against them?
Saa siger den Herre HERREN: Er det dig, jeg talede om i gamle Dage ved mine Tjenere, Israels Profeter, som profeterede i hine Tider, at jeg vilde bringe dig over dem?
18 And it has come to pass in that day, In the day of the coming in of Gog against the land of Israel, A declaration of Lord YHWH, My fury comes up in My face,
Men paa hin Dag, naar Gog overfalder Israels Land, lyder det fra den Herre HERREN, vil jeg give min Vrede Luft.
19 And in My zeal, in the fire of My wrath, I have spoken: Is there not a great rushing on the land of Israel in that day?
I Nidkærhed, i glødende Vrede udtaler jeg det: Sandelig, paa hin Dag skal et vældigt Jordskælv komme over Israels Land;
20 And rushed from My presence have fishes of the sea, And the bird of the heavens, And the beast of the field, And every creeping thing that is creeping on the ground, And all men who [are] on the face of the ground, And the mountains have been thrown down, And the ascents have fallen, And every wall falls to the earth.
for mit Aasyn skal Havets Fisk, Himmelens Fugle, Markens vilde Dyr og alt Kryb paa Jorden og alle Mennesker paa Jordens Flade skælve, Bjergene skal styrte, Klippevæggene falde og hver Mur synke til Jord.
21 And I have called for a sword against him throughout all My mountains, A declaration of Lord YHWH, The sword of each is against his brother.
Jeg nedkalder alle Rædsler over ham, lyder det fra den Herre HERREN; den enes Sværd skal rettes mod den anden;
22 And I have judged him with pestilence and with blood, And an overflowing rain and hailstones, I rain fire and brimstone on him, and on his bands, And on many peoples who [are] with him.
jeg gaar i Rette med ham med Pest og Blod, med Regnskyl og Haglsten; Ild og Svovl lader jeg regne over ham, hans Hobe og de mange Folkeslag, som følger ham.
23 And I have magnified Myself, and sanctified Myself, And I have been known before the eyes of many nations, And they have known that I [am] YHWH!”
Jeg viser mig stor og hellig og giver mig til Kende for de mange Folks Øjne; og de skal kende, at jeg er HERREN.
